Kunal Verma elated to work in Havan
After portraying the dutiful son on Star Plus' Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajana and a supportive friend in Sony TV's Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Naata Koi, with this show Kunal Verma has made his comeback on television in yet another simple role in Rajan Shahi's Havan on Colors.

What made you choose the show?
I liked the concept of the show, which is fresh while also being produced by one of the leading production companies. I also love my character. These were the reasons why I chose this show.
Tell us about your character 'Atharva?
He comes from a well-to-do family and is a sanskaari and obedient son of Baapji. He aims to become a lawyer. He is not at all a rebellious character and has come to Aastha's village to know her more.

How different is this character from your earlier characters?
This character is completely different from my earlier characters. Here, he is very simple and believes in going slow and steady while in Tujh Sang, the character fell madly in love with the lead actress. He is fine with the girl that Baapji has chosen for him in marriage

How is it working with Rajan Shahi's Director kut production house?
I am enjoying acting in this production house as right from the spot boys to the creative team, everyone is very co-operative. I can feel the positive energy which naturally makes us work harder. I am learning so many things from our director Shyamji.

How is Rajan Shahi as a producer?
I always wanted to work with him and I am glad that finally my dream has come true. He is a great human being and also very focused on his work. He visits the sets and interacts with all the actors to know more about the scene. His presence always encourages us to work harder.

Do you think the show is getting tough competition from STAR Plus' leading show Saath Nibhana Sathiya, which is on the same time slot?
Yes, definitely there is a competition in this time slot and we are here to do our job without any expectations. I believe gradually our show Havan will create its own space among the competition.
