I am a great fan of yr FFs.I am mostly a silent reader and sometimes only i quote.kya likthi ho yaar.hum apke likne per fida hai.The flow of carrying the story so smootly and so beautifully.While i read yr ff i almost go into the dream land of dev & radhika .I can see the characters clearly only after i finish reading i realize that i am at my home.You just carry all of us to that dreamland.the way u imagine and put life into dev and radhika characters is so mesmerizing.Creatives have to see yr ffs and learn from yr ffs and folow it.

Part-17

Radhika was getting ready to college, The dark purple churidar added glowing radiation to her fair skin as her face reflected the color of her dress. She took the towel off from her hair and stood in front of the mirror.. she was doing everything in quick, didn't notice Dev's eyes on her..

Birju came in with a message for Dev and left. By then Radhika was completely ready and had her college bag in hand.. She turned quick and bumbed onto Dev..

She jerked and looked at his face and met his loving eyes.. Radhika looked at him in question.

Dev in a soft voice: you forgot something..?

"no, I am not." she turned to look back into the mirror and asked Dev..: "look, I have it on.. how can Radhika forget that.."

Dev held her shoulder and turned her around..: " really, I didn't see, let me check one more time..." he looked at her hair partition and a teasing smile appeared on his corner lips and his soft lips touched her forehead softly.

Radhika blushed and tried to hide her happiness.

Dev: hum, now i can see the color now. Turning her to face the mirror what you think?.

Dev: really Radhika , now only it is looking colorful..

Radhika: Ok then, now tell me the reason for this..

Radhika tried to walk away, Dev held her by shoulder and mumbled near her ears: there is one solution, you are going to college na.. Radhika, if you prefer, you can wear light shades to coleege.. that suit you well too., and if you don'thave one , we can for shopping today, what you think?..

Radhika looked at him as she heard the change of expression in his statement...

Dev noticed a tinge of surprise on her face..: Its ok, I was joking.. you can wear whatever you want.. just be comfortable.. ok

Radhika, after a deep thought: oh oh.. I got it.. hum... you are thinking about others looking at me.. right?

Dev: no, I am not..

Radhika still looked at him in suspicion...

Dev: no Radhika, why should I?.. but...

Radhika getting more clsoer, in a seduce way asked : tell me na..

Dev: " Ha Radhika.. I can't tolerate any one else's eyes on you..." and tried to look away...

Radhika with a winning smile: now I am feeling happy., so so happy

Dev: what .. why happy?

Radhika: to know that if somebody look at me like that, you get jealous too...

Dev looked at her in surprise!!..

Radhika getting more closer: yesterday you called me jealous... now.. she wiggled her brows up and down…

Dev didn't say anything... but then looking at Radhika with an angry tone: if anybody even try to be near you, I will..

Radhika again with that winning look: oh.. thank you.. thank you.. I am sooo happy now

She turned around , and circled once with happiness.. : you know what, it is good to know about it..

Dev tightened his forehead?..

Radhika then seriously : you know nobody is behind me, so you are simply telling to tease me , right?..

Dev: heina.. Vo Varun.. with an angry tone..

RAdhika: Varun!!!!.. no.. he was anxious to know about you, not me.. he asked about you.. see, even men are back of you only... Oh God, I never thought of that, now that dreamy girl,and this Varun, how I am going to tackle all. .. with a sniff she continued.. I need to tackle this girl first.. If she say something today na.. you will see.. now you can't tell no to me either..

Dev: no to you for what? You can tell your bhayya to make a call and I will be right there at any minute..

Radhika: na, don't even think about it.. rolling her eyes I just saw one yesterday, flaring her hands out God only knows how many out there. and if they see you there na, Kanha only knows what will happen.. so if I need any help, any problem, I will handle myself and for my side I have my bhayya.. imitating his image.. and you don't even think about coming in that gate, ok.

Dev in a soft voice: I told you earlier also that if you want to announce our marriage...

Radhika interrupted: No, not now.. I like this privacy of us. Saying that she came and cling to him

Dev: so only you changed your name to Mrs. Singh

Radhika looked at the clock and grabbed her stuff and then held dev's wrist. Then started walking down : hum.. what else I should do, the lecturer is giving PC as an example and the girl behind me saying to talk about her dream boy... Its like business school has your name on their lips for everything.. so I don't want to get into the eyeing part.. Now I can discuss anything with anyone, I can look at PC from a different angle, I can see others views.

Dev was feeling happy to hear Radhika's words... Daadi with a smile also joined them..

Radhika continued as they sat for breakfast..

Radhika: What I am thinking is, I am going to concentrate on Indian paints now.. I mean, I am starting from the basic of a big business now, so why don't I apply that in Indian Paints from its base too. learn its structure from the baseline, so that I can build up my project on that..

Dev: Great idea Radhika.. and yes, I am going there today. Just want to check with everyone how the new in-charge getting along with everyone ...

Daadi: Good Dev.. and also you can bring the necessary documents for Radhika to start with ..

Dev sipping onto the orange juice: yes daadi.. so what you think Radhika..

Radhika gave a happy smile..

They said bye to daadi. Dev ignited the engine of his car and waited for Radhika's car to move first... he drove out as her car disappeared thru the gate..

Radhika got to know few more classmates and they started chit chatting and sharing their views on different things.. Piya was eyeing on Varun every now and then forcing her to give him answer, but luckily he didn't even try to walk near her..

Guard was there each morning till evening, smiling around with a proud face. Radhika smiled happily thinking of her 'bhayya' effect.. in between Dev made calls mostly to get to know about Radhika.. once he got call from the Principal with a request to attend one of the college funtion... but Dev refused as he needed to go to London for some final set up of a project.. this became a routine of their life..

Dev missed his Radhika so much with his outdoor trips. Radhika got mostly busy in her books and project works… Dev tried to attend business parties alone, just for the sake of his presence, and then came back quick to listen to his Radhika stories..

PC was growing nicely with new projects... Indian Paints served as a real learning ground for Radhika's learning and it made her understanding easy. Radhika brought indian paints example for her group projects and given the name 'Colors' to fake the original name. She discussed the case with her friends, and was practically started bridging gaps after suggesting and getting approval for her plan with daadi and the incharge .. Daadi was feeling so proud.. Slowly Daadi gave complete freedom for Radhika and told her to contact the new in-charge with her new plans and suggestions directly..

Radhika was sitting on the outside garden bench with her book and was reading it with so much concentration.

Dev: tell me..

Lawyer: yes sir..

Dev hang up his phone and was thinking.. after starting college, Radhika is living in a completely different world. She almost forgot her past. Sometimes she acts like a small school kid, sometimes like a well trained business person. I don't want to interfere that. I want to see her successful in this step, once she achieve her dream, she may be able to face the world with an answer and with her firm footage. For now she need that than any other proceedings.. It may take another year.. but that wait is worth .. I can't see her breaking down again seeing Mohini or Orhan's face.. but my people are there, they are locking all the loops and circling them from every angle, so once Mohini face Radhika in future, she will never be able to get out from the chain that I built for her... a smirk smile appeared over his lips as he thought about Mohini's face...

Dev reached home. looked around inside and then checking in his room, he walked towards the window... and he saw her sitting with her book and totally into it.. he smiled and got changed quick and went down.. and met her at the garden..

He sat next to her.. The smooth wind was circling around.. He wrapped his left hand around her shoulder to ensure his presence..

Radhika slightly jerked and looked at him.. and smiled.

Radhika: when did you come.. ? sorry I didn't even know about it..

Dev: Its Ok.. as far as you are into your studies, I don't mind.. but once you finish this, I won't tolerate any of these act.. I want you to meet me the second I step in to our house..

Radhika closed the book , keeping her finger on its open flap..: really..

Dev bringing her more closer: yes Rdhika, Now I am not bothering you much, because I can see how hard you are working. You are not only concentrating on studies, but the IP too. I am so proud of you..

Radhika with a wide smile: such..

Dev: yes, I did the audit, and I can see the difference.. and more than anything, I am proud to see that it is all your effort..

Radhika felt more happy..: all because of you..

Dev: no RAdhika, it is completely your effort..

Radhika: because you gave me the freedom, you gave me the confidence..

Dev smiled: hum, so ready for tomorrow's exam..

Radhika : almost, it is easy to remember as I did applied it on Indian Paints and dissected it with my each step.. but I need to just brush up..

Dev: you need any help..

Radhika: hum.. Just sit with me for some time..

Dev just brought his other arm around and wrapped that around her and mostly took her into his embrace. Radhika's hair was flying with the wind.. Dev rested his chin over her head and she just sat under his warm embrace...

Radhika: when are you leaving.

Dev: day after tomorrow.. It is a three weeks trip.. so I am going to miss you...

Radhika: Me too, but that is important too.. Just one more year, then I will join you.. I won't let you go anywhere without me..

Dev: once you finish this study na, we will go to Paris first.. then after that where ever you want to see..

Radhika: no, I will be fine, I just need you near by me.. I feel comfortable when I sit under your embrace.

Dev: me too Radhika, but I need sometime just for us.. only you and me.. last one year, you are busy with your studies and I am with my business deals... but that is not going to happen once you complete your studies ok.

Radhika: hum..

Radhika was more cuing under his warmth...a small happy smile was playing on his lips..

Daadi was looking at this couple lovingly as she was passing through the veranda.. her eyes filled with tears... for a second she thought.. My all hard work is paying off now.. I wanted to see this happy smile on Dev's life all this time... .. she enjoyed their cute fighting, enjoyed Radhika's college talk.. which she never thought will happen in her life.. all the time it was Dev who was around her, who was mostly in his own world.. but when she came, she was around me like a butterfly... complaining of Dev's actions, or happily telling about her college bhayya.. or talking about her friends, Piya, Viky, sundar.. and her enemy in all words kanika... Poor Birju, he was the only one trying to escape from Radhika's eyes these days.. and even I have seen him hiding under the table once or twice... this is the life I wanted.. even though many ups and downs happened in Dev's life, Radhika brought him back into life.. Radhika gave the reality to my hope ... tear drops started rolling down her cheeks...
