CHAPTER 18

Abhay made pia sleep. He is tensed as now the real problems are going to start with pia. pia who is just few weeks pregnant is looking as if she is for months. The baby is growing at immense speed and is even more stronger that he thought. Abhay kisses pia's forehead and goes to living room.

[living room]

Abhay and aliya are sitting near fire place and discussing.

Aliya: bhai…whats wrong?

A: today pia was shouting in pain..the baby is growing and has started hurting her

Aliya: we cant do anything…I told you before also that day…..

[flashback]

abhay got to know about pia's pregnancy. He was happy but mostly scared as this is something that have never happened before. Abhay was back from honeymoon and talking about pia.

A: pia is pregnant..do you know what that means

Aliya: I know…the baby will be hybrid..half human half vampire

A: we cant let that happen..we have to remove that thing from pia…though m happy that my family will be complete but…

Aliya: firstly..dont call him "that thing"…its ur baby bhai..

A: but it will hurt pia…she is human and not strong enough to give birth..she will be killed..that baby will crave blood and he will get it from pia..aliya..i cant let him hurt pia..finally..i have found happiness and I cant afford to lose it.

Aliya: I agree..but if u dare to talk to pia..u will lose her..she will not let u touch her baby..bhai I may not be mother and I don't remember much about my human life but one thing I remember is how my mother used to love me…cared for me and she could do anything for me. Look at haseena mom..she is a vampire..but a mom too.

H: abhay…aliya is right. we are vampires. We say that we don't have emotions but its not true. We do have emotions. I am a mother though I have not given birth to any of you all but I love you all and can do anything to protect you from anyone..even from my loved ones. And pia..she is human and feels more than us. Pia will never let you touch her and her baby

A: so what can I do? Watch her die

H: abhay…how can you say she can die..she will not

Aliya: bhai..i have seen pia being one of us and can still see it

H: abhay..with the baby's birth…new pia will be formed…pia will be a vampire…

A: what if something happenes to her?

Aliya: nothing will happen…u have to control ur emotions..especially in front of pia..she needs you and you have to be with her..support her. she doesn't knw whats coming across her. she really needs to be strong..for that you have to be strong and bhai..next time don't say anything in front of her.

Aliya: I told you bhai…dont say anything reckless to pia..it will hurt her

A: I know aliya..but the baby has started hurting her and it will hurt her more

Aliya: have faith…pia will be fine…

A: that's not the only concern..u know that this baby is hybrid…and u also know that if our superiors will ever come to know about it..what will happen…

Aliya: I know…

A: the ring is with us and our superiors think that ring was lost with my human father's death…but its not true..and with hybrid baby with us..u know what it can lead us to

Aliya: we can rule…we can replace our superiors

A: yes..exactly…though we don't wanna rule…but our superiors will never understand..and if they come to know about both ring and baby…it will lead us to war..

Aliya: the superiors will come after us..not only try to kill us but also the baby…and will take the ring…with the baby…baby will be in danger..because..u need both ring and hybrid baby to rule..

A: they will never let anyone snatch away their rule…

Aliya: right now…just think about pia..she needs you..

A: I know…

Abhay leaves aliya alone. but something is bugging her mind. She is just thinking about what abhay said just now. Suddenly she has a vision and her face goes blank and white.

Arjun notices aliya and rushes towards her.

Arjun: what do you see?

Aliya: Maithili!!

Arjun: what is she doing? Aliya answer me

Aliya: I saw Maithili in jungle..but suddenly the vision disappeared..i couldn't see what she was doing

Arjun: why is she back but..and how did she survive…abhay killed her using the wooden stake

Aliya: OH NO!! no way..

Arjun: what?

Aliya: you just said wooden stake..but we really didn't think of this before…

Arjun is confused

Aliya: arjun…maithili created abhay…she is older than abhay and very powerful…abhay is just a new born in front of Maithili..the stake was not enough…we needed ring also….to kill her…

Aliya: wait..let me call others..

Aliya calls everyone. Chand, haseena and abhay comes.

aliya tells everything and filled them till with all the things that arjun knows..

aliya: now we on same page…so..bhai..right now we were talking about ring about baby…maithili knows about the ring and am sure about pia being pregnant also…

A: that means…she is back with a bigger motive…she will not only have ring..baby…but she thinks that pia will die and have me as her consolation gift…no way

Aliya: one more thing..u remember the werewolf that attacked you both…I think it's the same wolf working for Maithili…

A: but then why did Maithili attacked panchi?

Aliya: I don't know bhai..whatever m saying is just a guess and m just trying to join dots

C: but whatever u are saying makes complete sense

H: if its true..then

A: fight is coming up and we need to be prepared…

Aliya: what about pia

A: I don't know whether I should say anything to her not

H: I think you should

Abhay sighed and goes to his room.

[abhay's room]

Pia has gotten up. She as usual lost in her thoughts and smiling.

A: snap out pia! why are smiling? May I also know the reason

P: I am just thinking about our baby..i never thought about being a mother but now feel so complete

A: this baby is special…

P: ofcourse..because its your baby…our love…

Abhay puts her hand on pia's stomach and carasses it. he closes his eyes. but suddenly he opens his eyes with a jerk. He is shocked.

P: abhay…kya hua

A: what did you say just now

P: that its your baby and our love…whats the matter abhay

A: are you sure?

P: abhay…will you tell me whats happening

A: you know what? Arjun won..

P: meaning?

A: u wanted boy…I wanted girl

P: so?

A: arjun said both…

It took few seconds to connect what abhay said

P: no way!! Its twins

A: yup..they are…a boy and girl

P: ahaan and palak…but how do you know..

A: because I just now connected with them..

P: really!! Did u talk to them

A: well…I cant really talk to them..but just got to know what they think..m sure I will be able to talk to them in some time…ahaan and palak loves us…but they adore you more..

P: tell me more about them

A: palak is complaining that ahaan is naughty and teasing her…I wonder what is he doing and ahaan is defending himself

P: we will have hard time around these kids..

Pia caressing her stomach.

P: momma loves you both…so as ur dad..

A(laughing): I am sure..with the speed their senses are growing..i would be able to talk to them soon enough

P: why are you laughing

A: because its me who will settle their fights as I would be able to connect to them..

Pia gets up from bed. Abhay supports her. she starts moving outside the room.

A: where are you going?

P: I am hungry

A: u should have told me

P: uh..umm…

A: what do you wanna eat

P: I wanna drink

A: what?

Pia moves towards the place where blood is stored.

A: what are you doing? Why are you going there?

P: I don't know..but suddenly I am smelling blood and its attracting me…I wanna have it

Abhay is shocked to hear this. but abhay realized that its not pia who is craving for blood but it's the kids who wanna have it

A: are you sure? I mean..u are

P: I am sure..they are smelling so sweet and pleasant.

A: I think you shouldn't do this

P: I will

Pia picks one bottle of blood and starts sipping it. abhay is looking at pia giving a horrified expression.

P: what?

A: nothing..its just that I never imagined you doing this

P: really? Get used to it abhay raichand

A: u kidding right?

P: no…

Pia starts moving towards abhay and abhay moves backward.

A: what are you doing?

P: doing things that u never imagined.

Pia threw her arms around abhay and kissed him on his upper lips and then lower lips. Abhay is shocked at her reaction but finally gives in. they kiss there for few minutes. They leave each other and stare at each other.

A: now you did it..

Abhay picks pia in his arms and takes her towards his room.
