6:30 A.M
Chitra : geet ..geet …utho you lazy girll..
Geet stirred but dint wake up .
Pinky shaked her and pulled her quilt : idiot get up ..
At last she woke up with the non-stop shouting and yawned : what maa ??? why are you waking up so early ??
Chitra : thank god , atlast you woke up . listen , your dad , pinky and myself are leaving to Chennai now …
Geet full sleep is gone bye bye :WHAT ???? why ????
Chitra : your dad has some important meeting and I need to sign some documents urgently ..
Geet : okay but why are you taking pinky with you ?
Pinky : woh kya hai na , I dint even say a good bye to my frnds , so I want to meet them today and also collect some certificates from my college there ….
Geet almost cried : why today ???
Chitra : ask your dad about it . some thing urgent came and he wants to leave right now ..
Geet : hmm teek hai ,,
Pinky acted as if surprised : oh maa , today is geets birthday … happy birthday geet !!
Chitra : arey meh tho bhool gaye ..
Geet looked as if that what needed now and half-heartedly smiled : thnx pinky ..
Chitra : don't worry , we ll go for dinner outside ..
Geet : teek hai , you guys go get ready .. I ll get freshen up .
On the other side of the home ,
Vaibhav on phone : maan , do you think it ll work ??
Maan : don't worry uncle . you just start . rest of the plan , I ll take care .
Vaibhav smiled : okay okay !! seems like pinky and you had planned a lot ..
Maan just laughed : see you soon uncle ..
Vaibhav and family left for chennai except geet who was sitting in the living room and watching tv .. she looked at the clock and sighed . it was noon 2 . she had her lunch and watched some movies and attended calls from friends who wished for her birthday …
Geet thought : cant time go faster ??
Just then her phone rang .. it was dadi ..
Geet : hello dadi !!
Dadi : hello geet bte .
Geet : kaise hai aap ??
Dadi : meh bilkul teek ho . aap kya kar rahe hai ?
Geet : am so bored dadi . appa , maa aur pinky had left to Chennai for some important work ..am all alone @ home with nothing to do ..
Dadi : tho teek hai , jaldi se taiyar ho jao and ghar ayeye ..
Geet : dadi meh teek ho .. don't worry about me .
Dadi : nahi geet , maine ghar ke liye pooja arrange kiya . tho isliye meh tume invite kar raha hoo ..
Geet : teek hai dadi .. I ll come there in evening ..
Dadi : geet I need your help in some things .. i ll send a list through maan .. pls do buy that things beta ..i cant rely on him.. he don't know about such things ..
Geet smiled : teek hai , I ll get ready now ..
Dadi : thank you bte ..
Maan was waiting for geet in the car ..
Geet locked the door and came near the car …
Maan : how long does it take geet ??
Geet : Mr.khuranna , you reached here just 5 min before . according to me , this is not late .
Maan : teek hai , Ms . iyer , please do the honour of sitting in my car .
Geet smiled and sat in front while maan drove the car .
After some time , they stopped at a mall …
Geet : maan give me the list ..
Maan casually replied : which list ?
Geet : dadi told that she would give a list to you ..
Maan : wo wo .. haan , I remember everything .. wats the need of list ??
Geet was surprised : maan , there are chances that , we might miss some ..give me the list now .
Maan : arey geet , maine kaha na , chalo or we ll get late ..
Geet followed him helplessly …
Maan went inside a jewellary shop and made his way towards the counter .
Manager : hello sir .
Maan : are the orders ready ?
Manager : yes sir , just a min .
He took a red velvet bag and gave to him .
Manager : I hope this ll be upto your expectations .
Maan merely noded and made the payment . geet on the other hand had no idea of the whole thing .. she just stood there looking on to various jewels .
Maan tapped her shoulder : chale geet ??
Geet : hmm…
As soon as maan stepped outside , geet started blabbering : maan what's next in the next ??? why don't you give me the paper ?? am feeling so bored .. you look on to one thing , while I go for another ..time can be saved ..
Maan : geet hold on for a minute .. don't you think you talk too much ???
Geet with slight anger : what ?? I talk too much ???
Maan smirked : what ?? am saying the truth .. are you sure , you dint swallow a train ??
That was enough to make geet burst and she shouted : you dhust dhanav …
Some People started looking at them and one elderly couple came near them ..
Man kept a hand on maans shoulder : I pity you young man .
Lady gave a glare to man which made him shut up . she turned towards geet : beti , you know husbands are always like this .. seeking for a chance to trouble us…
Geet and maan gave uncomfortable smiles towards each other .
Geet : aunty its not like that .. he is my friend ,,,
Lady : oh am sorry beti ..but you guys make a good couple ..
Having said that , they left the place ..
Geet and maan stood there for some time with blank expression and suddenly laughed out loud ..
Geet : maan , it was all because of you ..
Maan : teek hai , we can continue our fight after reaching home ..now we need to collect some package from the boutique .
Geet held his arm : chalo ..
They collected everything and reached KM outhouse .. by then the time was 5 PM .
Geet : maan , why are we in outhouse ???
Maan : why do you want to come in this costume for pooja also ???
Geet looked at her dress and said : why whats wrong with this ??
Maan : geet you are coming to a pooja .. wear something else than chudidars .
Geet was confused : par maan , whats wrong with my chudidars ??
Maan lost patience : geet !! just go and change now ..
Geet : bu I don't have any dress .
Maan : dadima had kept everything in the room .. just take the steps and go the left side room .. meantime I ll also get ready ..
Geet half heartedly : teek hai ..
Maan : thank god !!
Geet : what ??
Maan : kuch nahi .. I ll go and get ready ..
Maan just walked fast before geet could ask anymore questions ..
AT 6 P.M
Geet got ready and came down ..she called maan but could not find him anywhere …
Geet : yeh maan kaha chale gaye ???
Just then she saw some one coming towards her more of looking like a servant ..
Servant : mam , are you Ms.geet ??
Geet : yea .
Servant : mam maan sir had asked you to come to the mansion as soon as you get ready … he asked me to inform that he had to leave early since dadima had called him ..
Geet smiled : its okay , I ll see to it ..
Geet walked towards the mansion ..it was beautifully decorated .. she went towards the door but found it totally dark ..
Geet : yeh kya ho raha hai ??? why its so dark ???
She stood there for sometime and called : maan ?????? dadi ??????
After hearing no response , geet tried maan's mobile ..it was coming as not reachable ..
Geet : where did maan go now ??
She thought of going back but instead stepped inside the hall .. she used the lights from her cell and made her way inside … suddenly she heard the sounds of ballon blasts .. she dropped her cell and shouted : ahhh... maaa……………………………….. she closed her eyes tightly and closed her ears ..
the lights were switched on .. slowly she opened her eyes and saw everyone standing there with a cake in the middle .. vaibhav and chitra came and hugged her tight and wished her .. geet could not react as she was totally shocked with the surprise . pinky came and shook her slightly and this made her to come out of shock ..
geet with a cute angry face : maa when did you come back frm Chennai ??
maan came from behind : for that they should have gone to Chennai first ..
geet : what ??
pinky : we don't go to Chennai , we were preparing a surprise party for you ..
geet was surprised : oh my god appa !!! I cant believe this . thank you so much for the surprise . I love this ..
with that she hugged everyone and suddenly said : but you spoiled my whole day by making me go shopping with him .
now its maans turn to show his anger : kyo ??maine kya kardiya ??
geet went towards dadi and said : he made me go from one shop to another just for getting a tie dadima ..
dadi laughed : ok bacho leave that .. now come one cut the cake ..
geet : ji dadima .
geet ignored the constant glares from maan and cut the cake …. Everyone sang "happy birthday" for her .. she fed the cake first to dadi , her mom , dad , pinky and at last maan …
maan cribbed : technically it should be me who are be fed first ..
geet : its pay back for dragging me from shop to shop Mr.Khuranna ..
maan : teek hai ..wait for my pay back ..
geet turned her face laughing : what ever ..
the family could not get any more entertainment more than this .. it was decided that geet's family ll be staying there for the night … they chatted for sometime and proceeded for dinner …
