Geet:"Maan yeh to mere Horshiyarpur jaane ka rasta haiā¦. "
Maan was now smilingā¦ it was hard to hide nowā¦
A sudden hope rises within Geet and she is eager for an answer from himā¦.
Geet:"Maan kuch boliye na Pleaseā¦ hum kahan jaa rahe hainā¦.. "
Maan:"who ek kaamā¦ pass he ke village meā¦ due tha bhoot dinno se tou socha iss weekend ker loonā¦.. and I thought kee tum bhi mere saath aaogee tou tumhara bhi refreshment ho jayegaā¦ rightā¦ waise bhi villages tumhe pasand haiā¦."
Geets felt her sudden hope was washed:"Bagal ke gaon me jaa rahe hainā¦. Ek baar bhi nahi socha itne pass Hoshiyarpur hai wahan Geet ko le chaloonā¦. Geet chor naā¦ unhe kya pata mera dill kita dharakta hai mere logon ke liye aur mere gaon ke liyeā¦. Maine he to kabhi jataya nahi naā¦."
Maan was watching her reactionsā¦. But Geet was now restless as she was approaching Hoshiyarpurā¦..
She tried to prompt Maan some ways
Geet:"Maan.. aapko pata haiā¦ yeh Hoshiyarpur jane wala rasta na bilkul kachcha thaā¦ abhi tou achi road baan gayee haiā¦. Who bhi itnee achcheeā¦ itne kam dino me itna changesā¦. "
Maan tried to give no reaction:"Reallyā¦. Road kachchi thiā¦."
Geet:"haan na bilkulā¦ gari to dhul urdatee jaatee thi iss rashte seā¦. itna interior me hain na humara gaon kee govt bhi dhyan nahi deteeā¦ per abhi to itna change ho gayaā¦ā¦ā¦"
Maan:"achcha!!!!"
Geet:"Mujhe tou lagta hai Hoshiyarpur me bhi kaphi changes aaye hongeā¦ pata nahi kitna badla hoga mera Hoshiyarpurā¦."
Maan did not have power to tease her moreā¦ Geet was so excited just nearing Hoshiyarpurā¦..
Maan:"tou yahan se apne ghar ka rashta pata hai tumheā¦.."
Geet:"kaisee baat puch rahe hain Maanā¦ yaad hai?? 2 ke multiplication kee tarahā¦ yahan to kabhi kabhi main walk kerte aa jatee theeā¦"
Maan:"walk??? Till hereā¦"
Geet said casually:"haan.. actually I had made a social group in my village with some members of village itself.. and we used to survey region nearby to find the scope of development.. tou hum survey kerte kerte kabhi kabhi aas pass ke gaon tak pahuch jate theā¦ā¦"
Maan looked at Geetā¦ he was completely surprised with what she saidā¦. He was seeing an entirely different Geetā¦ a very simple and a great value girlā¦ who had her life for societyā¦. He was now curious to know this new or say a real Geet moreā¦.
Geet: "who dekh rahen haiā¦ uss tarafā¦. Haanā¦ abhi tou kuch better dikh raha haiā¦. But that area has completely under developed societyā¦. No moneyā¦ education is a faraway talk for these peopleā¦ they struggle for food and basic clothingā¦. Men drinks and waste most of the little earned moneyā¦ children just roam around mostly with no clothing or sometimes with layer of never washed clothesā¦ I don't think you must have ever known these people in reality rather than on TV or other wiseā¦ But these were my 1st targetā¦ I used to visit these places mostā¦."
Maan stopped the carā¦ the area looked very very under developed to himā¦ he would not even care to look at the area but now it was raising his interestā¦. Due to Geetā¦
Maan: "you said it looks betterā¦."
Geet:"arre better he nahiā¦ much much betterā¦ yeh kaise hua sab mujhe andaaza bhi nahi ho raha haiā¦.. "
Maan: "And you group used to go thereā¦ I mean it can be kind of dangerousā¦."
Geet(laughing):"Groupā¦ ek ek memberā¦ ek area me jate theā¦ sari group agar ek hee area me aa gayee to ho gaya kaamā¦. Aur agar social worker Danger ke bare me sochenge to to hua kaamā¦."
Maan was a strong man in himselfā¦ he had camped in Jungle all alone... done adventures like hiking and Traking but this was differentā¦he felt like a pampered child in front of her this avatarā¦ it seemed hard but he needed to know herā¦. her real world
Maan suddelnly asked her: "you must want to go thereā¦ do you want to go and see the developmentā¦. "
Geet was surprised by his question:"Nahi Maanā¦. App waise jagah me 1 mint bhi nahi reh payengeā¦ I mean it's different.. aur waise bhi aapko kaam hai naā¦."
Maan:"you want to go rightā¦. Tell me the way till Jeep can go and then we will walk"
Geet wanted to go and see the development very much but she was hesitant about Maan... but Maan insisted and they went thereā¦.
When people saw Geet they all came in front to greet herā¦ for them Maan was no oneā¦ he was just someone with Geetā¦ He preferred to stay at side and watchā¦
Geet was super excited to see the development in the area as well as to some point in their living tooā¦ Maan was surprised to see Geet happy due to excitement of developmentā¦ If this was developed then what was the original stateā¦. According to him this was completely under under developed piece of landā¦ people, area, kitchen , bathroom all looked same to himā¦ and Geet was whole heartedly hugging all those people who would give him cough with their body aroma if they stand near himā¦.. But he was lostā¦. lost in whole this new thingā¦.Geet looked like and angel between these peopleā¦ and she was a real Angel he feltā¦ He waited patiently for Geet while she talked to people and looked around everythingā¦ā¦
After a while they left
Maan who was completely lost gathered words: "tumhare ghar ka rasta batna yahan seā¦ "
Geet(Surprised):"mere ghar????"
Maan:"haanā¦ tumhare gharā¦ this was the work due from longā¦ tumhe tumhare ghar waloon se milwanaā¦."
Geet was completely surprisedā¦. Tears came to her eyes with happinessā¦. She looked at Maan with complete respectā¦How could he understand her this needā¦ and what she had been thinking of him a while agoā¦."Babajiā¦ mujhe maaf kijiye gaā¦ main Maan ke bare me hamesha galat he sochtee hoonā¦. Unhe abb tak shayad samjhee nahi mainā¦."
Geet (was unable to control her happiness):"Who Jeep jayegee mere ghar takā¦ teji Veerje ka tractor hain na who jate hain usseā¦."
In the way Geet was very surprised to see the changes in the villageā¦ from road itself she could gather how much development have been doneā¦. She showed him the way to her homeā¦..
Her Baba was chaudhary of the village so he had much bigger house than the other villagersā¦ few matched himā¦. It was almost noon by the time they had reached and they were tiered too but Geet could not realize it due to her excitementā¦ The big heavy wooden door was closedā¦.
Geet made a knock at the door with the heavy handle on itā¦. Maan was just watching her excitementā¦.
Lucky opens the door.. his hands had food on itā¦ they were having lunchā¦.
Lucky: "Geet Didi tumā¦. Yahanā¦ kaise"
Geet:"kya lucky veerjeeā¦ saare sawal darwaze per hee karenge ya ander aane denge mujheā¦. Aur Lucky Veerjeeā¦ yeh Maan hainā¦"
Lucky:"Jeejajee??? Aayee aayeeā¦." Luccky who loved new styles he saw in TV and was unable to do them was very impressed by Maan's look and waysā¦.
Maan entered the house and took a look around itā¦. The house was not that smallā¦ it had ample of spaceā¦.. a big aagan in middle and the Rooms all around it and possible also went inside, a two strey and it was neatly keptā¦. It was nothing compared to his Mansion but it was a descent house and much bigger compared to what he had seen in his wayā¦. It was house of the Village headā¦.
While Maan was lost in architecture, lucky lost in admiring Maan's style Geet had gone to the dinning area to meet her familyā¦.Everyone was so surprise to see herā¦.
Her Mom:"Geet tuā¦ hai rabba main phir se sapna to nahi dekh rahee"
Baba: "Geet meri bacchee tuā¦ yahan kaiseā¦.. Rano meri betee aayee hai"
Geet: "Maa, Babaā¦Haan main hee hoonā¦ aapkee beteeā¦.aur Nandiniā¦ kaise hai tu"
Nandini came forward and two sisters had a nice hugā¦..
On other side Maan realized he was thirsty and asked Lucky for waterā¦ Lucky came in dining area to get water out of fridgeā¦ he was super excited to serve his stylish Jeejajeeā¦
Baba: "abb yeh lafanga kya ker raha haiā¦. Teri Geet didi aayee hai"
Her Mom:"hai Babajiā¦ Geet sab theek to haiā¦ tu achanak yahan aa gayeeā¦ wahan sab theek hai na tere saathā¦."
Lucky and Geet then explained them that she was there with Maan and everyone left there seat immediately and went to greet Maanā¦ leaving Geet to come by her ownā¦
Baba:"chote sahabjee app isse yaha le ker aaye hai.." he did not know what to doā¦ seeing Maan there he did not know how to welcome himā¦.
Geet came from behind:"Baba yeh aapke hone wale damad hainā¦ Chote sahib nahiā¦"
Maan:"Geet bilkul sahi keh rahee haiā¦ main aapke bete jaisa hoonā¦ aap mujhe Maan he khaiyeā¦.."
Geet's mom and Nandini immediately went inside to prepare thali of aarteeā¦.
