Gr8 Welfare Cup on June 4

Varun Badola and Salil Ankola will captain two cricket teams for the charity cricket match organ ised by Anu and Shashi Ranjan of the Indian Television Academy. The Gr8 Welfare Cup, will be played on Sunday, June 4 at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai.

Says Shashi Ranjan, "The proceeds of this match will be used for Beti, our campaign against female foeticide and also for the welfare of members of the television industry."

Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh will be the chief guest for the charity match while the event is supported by the Government of Mahararshtra (Women & Child Development Department), which will help promote the fight against female foeticide.

Akashh Deep Sahgal, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Salil Ankola, Abhijeet Sawant, Vikas Sethi, Amit Behl, Hiten Tejwani, Anand Suryavanshi, Maanav Gohil. Amit Jain, Harsha Bhogle, Nikhil Chinappa, Sanjeev Kapoor and many others will be part of the two teams: Actors XI v/s Anchors XI.
