NT held Dev's hand on seeing them together, it was an hour now, still Sonny did not ask Geet to leave, he some how felt that Maan was not at fault may be because when he checked him at KC he seemed drugged and there were no signs of what Sameera said, it all looked a cooked story, but it was just his instinct, he needed proof for that, though he wanted to punish Vikrant and imprisoning Maan was the easy way, but as he was not a dishonest cop, he needed to find the truth, may be then he would have to clear Maan from all the charges, he will get more chances to take revenge.

When Pratham, Vikrant and Brij came with their advocate giving Inspector Sonny the bail papers and release orders Geet was still with Maan sleeping in his lap. Vikrant was surprised that Sonny allowed her in, but did not say anything

I: you can take him

V: thank you

I: but remember one mistake and I'll not hesitate to put him or either of you in

D: we will co-operate

When Geet came out with Maan, who was held by Yash and Vikrant, he called her

I: Geet, listen

The Khurana's and all stiffened but Geet followed him in

G: thank you for everything

I: Geet try to find what exactly happened, though I don't like Khurana's but I also don't want to punish innocent

G: what have I to do?

I: ask Maan what happened yesterday, or do you know something as to where he was or something

G: he had an early meeting with a client at Kishangunj, and he told me that he will return at about 7 in the evening

G: he called me at 6:30 and said he was early by 30 mins

I: when did he say he will leave office?

G: he said about an hour or so

I: and he did not return

G: yes

I: we checked everything there, if you come o know something do tell me

G: yes I will thank you again

I: it's my job, take care

Sonny liked Geet and also knew Maan should be innocent, but proof was what he needed, he had to wait for Sameera's medical and he also wanted to interrogate Sasha.

Khurana's still wondered why Sonny was so soft with Geet, it was Vikrant who told them, that Geet's eyes were very much like Maya's , as he remembered now Maya's eyes were also Hazel and emitted same innocence as Geet's may be that triggered Sonny.

As the things moved fast and Sonny did not like media, nothing was out in public, the engagement went smoothly and the guests were told hat Maan has taken ill so he will mostly keep inside, and Maan was really exhausted physically, mentally and spiritually.

At night when everyone retired Geet sneaked in Maan's room, he was sitting on his bed hugging a pillow, she pulled the pillow from his hands and sat on his lap, he smiled sadly at her, she smiled and caressed his cheek, he held her hand and stopped her

M: Geet, you go to your room

G: why?

M: I am a lecher I am not worth you

G: you are a lecher, sure?

M: that's what everyone must be thinking

G: no one is thinking any such thing

M: how can you be so sure? At the party everyone was staring at me

G: because you were going to get engaged

Maan pulled out the ring from his finger

M: Geet, take it I am not worth it

Geet took the ring and slide it back in his finger

G: then who are you worth of Sameera or Sasha

Maan closed his eyes

Geet cupped his face: Maan you are mine and I am yours, now man you have no choice as I told you earlier you can't get rid of me now until I die

M: Geet, never say this again

G: what?

M: this dying stuff

G: Maan what do you think if you will break this engagement will I be able to live

And she hugged him he cried his heart out, she boldly pulled his hair and crushed his lips, then there was no stopping, he kissed her wildly as if that was what he needed to breath to live, she let him devour her, he undid her dori and slide her sleeves and marked her on her shoulder, she shuddered and bit him at all exposed places, they continued for long, and would have not stopped if NT would not have came in with a loud knock.
