SNIPPET 1

Mohan and his friend discussing their respective spouses.

Friend: Meri biwi bahut samajdhar hai. She is very considerate towards me. She never spends too much and never wastes my hard earned money. I couldn't afford to lose her.

Mohan: Meri biwi tera biwi se bhi samajdhar hai. She makes sure that she spends so much of my hard earned money that I can't afford another one!

SNIPPET 2

Kastur chastising her child and then being berated by her MIL about her child-rearing abilities.

Kastur: Oh ji sasuma, don't teach me about raising my child. I'm married to one of yours, and clearly your child rearing abilities were worse than mine!

MIL: Err, hello! How can you say such a thing when I'm standing right here in front of you?

Kastur: Toh beht jao comfortably and I'll say it again!

SNIPPET 3

Mohan is walking around the mall looking for Kastur when he meets a friend who is similarly searching for his wife in the crowded store. They decide to keep a watch out for each other's wives too.

Mohan: What does your wife look like?

Friend: Gori rangat, gulabi hont, Sushmita jaisi height, Aishwariya jaisi ankhein, Madhuri jaisi chaal, Rani jaisi baal aur Sania Mirza jaisi fit body. Aur teri?

Mohan: Meri ko maar goli, chal teri ko dhoondh te hai!

Mohan's little nephew asks Kastur for help with his homework. He has to write about the evolution of humanity.

Kastur: Brahma is the creator and source of all creation. He made the first people and we are all their descendants.

Nephew: But Mohan mama told me that many years ago there were these monkeys and that we all come from them?

Kastur: Well dear, I told you about my side of the family and your mamu told you about his!

I think my favourite would be the Mama told you about his side of the family and I'm telling you about mine 😆 Close second would be Mohan saying let's search for your wife instead...lol that's so typical Mohan the Champ!

@ Elizabeth Darcy - thank you for the welcome and I'm glad you enjoyed my post. Actually I've read through the entire thread and spent a good part of the afternoon laughing myself silly! 🤣

You an Jane Austen Fan? Me too! I live for Austen. P&P is my favourite novel and Persuasion is a very very close second. I've read the book at least once every year since the age of 16 and seen the 1995 BBC adaptation about as many times too! It's my favourite version, and I have a bit of thing (OK a huge thing for Mr Darcy ☺️), and for a Mr Colin 'Phwoarth' too!

Mohan and his ring-o-phobia! 😆

Given that many of us are now making our own snippets on the show, I think it would be time now for me to make ALL of these gems accessible to forum members...the only tough part is locating all the snippets, especially since I didn't have the forethought to make an index on the first page...dumb me! 😳 Anyway...Silky, Capsie, Megs, Rakhi...will locate all your snippet posts and get this sorted out asap 😃 Not sure how to update the thread though, maybe I should say 'New Snippet Up' with the date?

Anyway...thanks all of you...and if any of you out there would like to give snippet-writing a shot, please do! 😃
