A year passed with a lot of things happening in both of their lives, Geet now Anju fared well in her 10^th board, she has by now completely adjusted to her new surroundings, she had made very few friends and was not the like the old bubbly Geet, who did not want any reason to laugh or be irritated, she now hardly laughed, just smiled a bit and as for getting irritated, when she lost the boy who did so how can she be irritated, she shared a strong bond with Brij, she told him a lot about their parents and Brij was now a student of IIT Delhi a place from where his father graduated, he told her on phone that the name of Handa was proudly written in the student of year list.

Maan had a terrible year, he had closed himself in a shell, he did not talk to any one, he learnt Marshall Arts and vigorously practiced it when ever he thought about Geet, he completely gave in to his studies, he was studied like an insane, and for days he would not come out of his study. He would appear for his 12^th exam and IIT entrance soon, he had cleared the IIT prelims. {During that time to appear in IIT you have to qualify IIT prelims}

It was 26^th Jan 2002, a year since that fatal day, Brij came in to meet Anju as it was her birthday, and wished him, she was in tears and refused to acknowledge his wishes, she was very low as it was also the first death anniversary of her parents. Brij understood her plight and said "Anju, I know I should not have wished you as Geet whose birthday was on this day died with Maa and Papa, and you are Anju my sister, and your birthday comes on 26^th Feb" Anju looked at him in surprise he smiled sadly and said "yes, the day the papers were signed making you legally Anjali Chawla" she nodded and both the siblings cried along with Sukhvinder.

This day was very sad for Maan, as it was this day he lost his will to live, he locked himself in his room and cried the whole day, no one disturbed him, and Mohneesh as a tribute to his friend approached IIT Delhi and proposed a scholarship for excelling students from each branch, a semester fees for the class topper will be sponsored for one semester and the scholarship would be named as 'MohRano excels'. And this semester scholarship went to Brij in his class, who was unaware that the scholarship he won was in his parents name MOHinder and RANO. The Khurana's still have not recovered from the loss, Mohneesh now lives most of the time in Bangalore and Rajji and Maan were living in Delhi with Savitri Devi.

Savitri Devi was a woman of vision, mean while when her son was settling business in Bangalore, she restarted her late husband property business and started investing in land, even Rajji helped her in this work, the two ladies with small investments have brought many properties in the outskirts of Delhi, and slowly rejuvenated the Khurana constructions that the late Khurana had started, with efficient staff and proper vision, they started taking small projects.

Geet/Anju was very down, she was going through the things she had collected from the debris a year back, she came across the dairy which had numbers and while flipping the pages she saw a number, it was Manchanda's number, another Punjabi who lived in old Ahmedabad city, their daughter Pinky studied in her class, Geet could not stop herself and dialed her number, "hello, can I talk to Pinky?" on the other side the girl said "yes, I am Pinky speaking" "Pinky, Geetanjali Handa here" Pinky was shocked "you are alive?" Geet replied "very much"

"Where are you?"

"Not in Ahmedabad"

"Heard about your parents I am sorry"

"It's ok, one can not change fate"

"Geet, you ok na"

"Yes, Pinky, did you here something about Khurana's"

"You mean Maan"

"Yes"

"No, no one heard any thing about them, they are still missing"

"Oh"

"Geet, BTW where are you?"

"Will tell you sometime, ok bye"

"Take care, feel free to call, bye"

As months went she cleared her 11^th and asked her now parents that can she appear for CLAT next year as she wanted to do Law from NALSAR Hyderabad, they readily accepted her request. Meanwhile Maan cleared his IIT and also scored 90's in his 12^th exam, he entered IIT Delhi as Brij's junior.

Brij in IIT and now Maan too there.. let's see what happens
