Last night, two new shows loosely inspired by the hit sitcom Sex and the City
were launched. Kuch Love Kuch Masti (Sahara) has three female protagonists who are bold, sensuous and ready to take on the world.
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (Zee) deals with three guys having a distinctly different take on love, life and relationships.
Here the two directors speak about their respective shows:
Bhushan Patel, director of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa
Is Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa a male version of Sex and the City?
My show is not at all inspired by Sex and the City.
What is the show about?
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa is a tale of three friends and their interaction with women.
Who are these three guys?
Aditya is a wealthy industrialist. Chetan is an ad agency guy and Deepankar is a financial consultant.
Do you fear that the show will fall into the trap of collegiate and pre pubescent humour?
My show will be a blend of humour and bold themes.
The show airs on Zee TV from Mon-Thur at 10.30 pm
