I was instantly mesmerized by her beauty. No, the word beautiful didn't justify her looks. She was a Goddess and so much more. Her doe eyes glistened more than a million stars. I wanted to drown in her light hazel eyes and reside there forever. Her skin was as pale as milk but ever more pure. I wanted to stroke her cheeks, feel her soft, rosy cheeks. What?! Maan Singh Khurana wanted to feel somebody's cheek? No, I think I'm drunk, but I haven't even touched liquor. I must have been intoxicated by her beauty. Her moist, luscious lips formed a smile. I wonder how her lips would feel against mine. I wonder what she tasted like, but I was sure she would taste as sweet as she looked. She continued to descend down the stairs her perfect hips swaying as she moved. Her silky dress clung to her seductive figure. Every curve was tempting to touch. Her hair was as dark as the night sky, as fine as luxurious silk. Her hair would mortify the most majestic raven feathers.
What was he thinking?! She's getting engaged today. More so, MSK didn't find girls attractive or tempting, they found him seductive not vice versa. He was thinking like a hormonally charged adolescent. He shook the thought out of his head and excused him self to the rest room. He needed to get away from her before he lost control.
Why did he leave? She could stare at him for a million days and not get tired. She could still remember his intense gaze. His eyes where like a labyrinth, filled with mysteries, puzzles and secrets. He was filled with enigma. I wanted to unveil his secrets, find out everything about him. His dark charms were definitely seducing. His sharp features immensely attractive. His was holding a champagne glass with his long, slim fingers; she wondered how his fingers would feel on her skin. His perfect m-shaped lips on hers, kissing and biting her softly. She blushed at her thought, she felt like a sixteen year old teenager again. But even as an adolescent she never felt anything for boys, she never had the chance.
She wasn't allowed to leave her room... She was an animal caged in with no way to escape. Her own home...no, house was her cage. This despicable place called her house was only a roof with four walls to hold it. A mixture of cement and brick...nothing more, nothing less. It was not worthy to be called a home. A home was the place where the whole family celebrates all joys, and shares all sorrows. A place where your parents would took you into bed and kiss you goodnight. A place where there was only warmth to protect you from the harsh cold of the outdoors. A home was a sanctuary, a haven, a refuge but her house was hell it self.
She had a private tutor coming to school her, but only because her father begged her grandfather. She remembered her darji's words.
"Why does a pesky little girl like her need to learn anything? What will she do with all the education if she's going to get sent of to her in-laws at eighteen? No good can come from her getting educated, she will only rebel against her family. She will want to leave and explore the world. She will learn about law. No, the most I can do is here a tutor to only teach basic hindi, mathematics and English."
Her Darji had no respect for women; they were only burden to him. A curse.
The only time she was allowed to see the beauty of the sun, and the magnificence of nature was when she sneaked out with Brijj. When the birds were asleep and not one waking soul was around, they would creep out to refuge of the night shadow. He would take her to eat ice-cream and they would go to their secret sanctuary; the cave by the lake. She would sit by the edge and watch the sun reflect it rays on the rapid, glistening lake. Brijj would talk about everything and anything, trying to make her laugh and smile. She had a beautiful smile but she hardly had a chance to use it.
She loved the exquisiteness of the moonlight, reflecting on her fair complexion, making her look even more angelic. She treasured the feeling of wind blowing through her long tresses, the aroma of the strong salty air filling her nostril, these little joys where worth more to her than the world's finest jewels.
Her brother loved watching his innocent sister enjoy nature's beauty. She was so naive, she deserved better. Better than the mistreatment she received, both physically and mentally. She was a bright child, she loved to learn, and she had a thirst for knowledge. Whenever she had the chance she would ask a swarm of questions without leaving the time for him to answer. She definitely deserved better and he would make sure she did. One day, she will get justice, she will get freedom and more importantly she will receive love.
The cold water hit his face, as hard a harsh slap. He had to break out of her trance, But nothing worked he couldn't get the image of beauty personified out his head. He looked up to see a man he couldn't quite recognize in front of him; intently watching his every move, his every expression. He could see the sinful desire hidden in his eyes, a puzzling labyrinth of emotions swarming through them. He also noticed a glint of something else inside them, not lust, not sensuality but something. He saw a hint of love...just a hint.
