Anyone can dance: Terence

If you tried to imitate Malaika 'Munni' Arora's latkas and jhatkas but couldn't get them right, then today is your last chance to hit your groove button.

Dance ka baap and Guinness World Record holder Terence Lewis is here again this summer to make you sway to his tunes.

Terence says, "Our philosophy is ABCD which means 'anybody can dance' and our motto is 'the joy of dance'. So make as many mistakes but enjoy it."

The Mumbai Mirror Dance Camp 2011 with Terence Lewis, this year plans to bring out the unbeatable 'Munnis' and 'Sheilas' in you while you learn to dance to the latest blockbusters like Munni Badnam hui and Sheila ki Jawani.

This year the dance camp will have a new section called "Groove with me". Here, kids and adults will be taught to shimmy to disco beats by Terence's instructors who have been preparing for this camp for last three months. Terence says, "Extra care has been taken to make it easy for the participants, especially kids.

We don't teach them techniques but tell them stories which makes it easier to understand the dance ssteps."

The camp, to be held at 15 dance centers and will be personally looked after by Terence, till now has professionals asking for early exit from work to attend the 10 exciting sessions, super excited 4-year-olds, enthusiastic senior citizens and college kids who just got free after their exams.

He says, "I will be visiting each and every center during the sessions. Giving some feedback to the student and taking in return."

The grand finale will be held at Shanmukananda, Sion. Selected best will be given an opportunity to be a part of the Potential Training Programme and a Diploma in Dance, a professional training progaram, at Terence's Dance Academy. Terence suggests, "Those who want to make a career in dance should definitely participate in this camp."
