Dancer Shakti Mohan along with Kunwar Amar of Dance India Dance fame are set to be launched in a fiction soap titled as D3: Dil Dostii Dance by Channel V, which also happens to be the channel's first fiction show ever.

Dil Dostii Dance is a story about a passion that overcomes all obstacles. How often does one come across a girl whose passion turns into a ritual, her dream becomes her religion and eventually her deity. The show revolves around the life of a girl who fights against all odds and convention to pursue her biggest romance, which is dance. The show chronicles the journey of Kria and Reyansh (Shakti and Kunwar), who are determined to follow their passion and be the best at it. Against all odds, the only thing that keeps them motivated is their fervour to dance.

Kria comes to Mumbai from a small town to follow her passion in dance. Shakti rose to fame after lifting the crown of Dance India Dance season two and is passionate about the art in real life too. The girl will find it easy to relate to the character of Kria and do full justice to it. Speaking on the new launch, Prem Kamath, GM, Channel [v] adds, "Dance is a genre that has witnessed the greatest spike in viewership across the industry. Dil Dostii Dance is the first ever fiction on dance that will re-invent the fiction genre in the country. While D3 simply tells a story about a girl and her love for dance, the show actually displays the passion and determination of the youth today.
