The Deadly Attraction Part 3

Just yesterday Maan was convinced he is merely attracted to her and now he was beginning to re-consider his definition of attraction. Well, most certainly since it was his first ever crush and hence may be he didn't like the idea of someone else being attracted to her the way he was and hence he was unhappy. The simple thought of someone else also wanting to feel her skin, to ogle at her, to find her cute, was nothing but repulsive.

Wait a minute . . . what repulsive.

Why would it be repulsive?

It was mere physical attraction and nothing more.

"Where are you" Pari asked, concern evident in her tone.

"I don't know" Geet replied, truthfully. She had no idea where they were going and interestingly she wasn't bothered as long as her spies weren't around. She was breathing freely for once.

"What do you mean" Pari literally jumped from the bed and panic grew inside of her.

"I mean . . . we are supposed to be headed towards Meerut but this road doesn't look like a national highway" Geet replied, not once thinking she wasn't alone.

"I am calling Yash" Pari screamed.

"there you go again' Geet frowned. Why does everyone have to treat her like she was a two year kid who would get lost if not kept an eye on?

"Geet, do you understand the R of responsibility. How can you even think of going to Meerut alone?" Pari yelled at the top of her lungs.

"Hold it, when did I say I am alone" Geet said as he started to get scared. What if Pari would call Yash for real?

"You are not" Pari asked as she calmed down a bit.

"Nope" Geet replied as she smiled.

"You with a girl" Pari asked, hoping she wasn't with a guy all alone.

"Nope"

That was it. What the hell was wrong with this girl? She didn't know where she was going. She was alone with a guy and her body guards weren't around. Pari shouted "I am calling veer ji . . . right now"

"Pari teri har baat I am calling him se kyun shuru hoti hai" Geet chuckled, not understanding the gravity of the situation.

"Geet . . . you are going to someplace you don't even know where and that too with a guy and you expect me not to inform Veer ji" Pari replied rather calmly.

"What's the big deal" Geet said, annoyed at Pari's over-reaction.

"Geet . . . sweetie, please try and understand, it's not safe. I am sorry but I have to inform him" Pari said, trying to make Geet understand her stance.

"He is coming to Delhi this weekend anyway . . . why do you need to call him earlier. I'll be fine. Trust me for once" Geet replied, hoping Pari would listen t her and not call Veju.

"Fine but if you feel anything fishy, don't hesitate to use the karate steps we see in those Chinese movies . . . BTW who told you he is coming this weekend" Pari had this habit of reacting impulsively and once she calmed down it was like nothing ever happened.

"Duh . . . darling, did you really think after the proposal and the positive response to it, he would stay in Chandigarh. He must be dying to meet me" Geet replied with certainty.

"Is he even missing you, did he call you once after the phone call yesterday. Looks like now Meera is his princess" Pari knew Geet was right but there was no harm teasing. But much to her frustration she forgot she was talking with Geet

Geet was offended by Pari's teasing, not that she minded Meera taking her place but what irritated her was the fact that someone doubted her Veju's love for her. be it joking or whatever, she could never handle anyone questioning her Veju and she replied rather seriously "he didn't call me after last night as he is under the impression that I am mad at him and he knows my silent treatment and also that it's no use trying. Coming to the princess thing, I so hope that should be true someday but I doubt it. My Veju, well, he won't think once before giving his life for me, forget about letting someone take my place."

Those words hit Maan like pin pricks. She really did love the guy but why was he feeling bad.

"Poor Meera, she got a sisters pet" Pari teased yet again.

"No he is not my pet, he is my Veju" Geet replied, boastfully.

"Yeah yeah I know, but Geet seriously I wonder how Meera can say yes to that not so romantic proposal" Pari was having a gala time teasing Geet.

"Oh hello . . . no girl can deny him. Fine, I agree his proposal was dry and not romantic but it was cute. Besides what matters is the person who is standing next to you and rest everything is irrelevant. And just for your knowledge, he is indeed romantic. Infect, right now he is sitting at the edge of Sukhna lake with, I don't need to tell you who. Lets bet, you give him a call and ask him where he is and if I am wrong, I'll do whatever you ask me to" Geet said, confident about her assumption. Rather it wasn't even an assumption; she knew where he would be.

"Don't back out Geet, remember your words anything means anything" Pari replied.

"Deal" Geet smirked.

"how are you so sure" Pari knew she would lose the bet anyway but still she wanted to know how Geet always knew about where he would be despite of the fact that she was locked within the walls of the mansion. Well, technically she was no longer house arrested but still, how did she know.

"He is my Veju, who would know him better than me" Geet replied, smiling.

"Geet baby aren't you a bit old to still call him Veju. I mean that's what you called him as a kid" Pari knew this would irk but alas! She yet again forgot it was Geet she was talking with.

"Whatever be my age I will always be his baby sister and I will always call him Veju . . . my veer ji"

Veer ji, she was talking about her brother. Maan was grinning like a fool. He wanted to scream in happiness, she did not love anyone. There was no one in her life. But why on earth was he so happy. Who cares if she loved someone? Did he care? If yes, then why.

"BTW Geet who are you with right now" Suddenly it hit Pari Geet wasn't alone.

That brought sense back into Geet's mind when she realised she wasn't alone and she had literally blurted out too much about her life. She closed her eyes as she murmured "holy crap"

Pari heard that as she said "what happened"

"I'll call you later" Geet replied as she abruptly ended the call. She wondered why she was always cornered. She was beginning to doubt if God had a special liking towards seeing her cornered.
