One of the bodyguard made a move to grab her but one word from shuriya halted him. Shuriya strode toward the exist without another word with others following him.

'...1 week later...

Geet was getting ready infront of the mirror while maan was lazily lounging in the bed. He was discharged yesterday.

Maan,''geet ,lets go somewhere for vacation.''

geet,''you are already coming with me on hotel project in china next month.''

Maan,''but that will be for work, I just want us to be alone somewhere.''

geet delibrately teased him,''but we are totally alone here.''

Maan,''you are getting mean day by day.''

geet looked at him,he looked like a 10 year old sulky but cute child.

Geet,''darji has come back and I need to show him that I can manage everything.''

maan,''fine,then i am going to office as well.'' he made to stand up but geet was already there.

Geet,''adi is coming with files and till you are better, you can work from home.'' geet knew, he will not sit idle, he had been checking project reports adi mailed him on laptop in hospital. With maan you have to just give in sometimes.

Maan frowned,''i don't like this bossy geet back.'' he was lying ofcourse, he loved to have his old geet back, the one with whom he grew up. She was sassy and had a smart mouth. He didn't want puppy love, he wanted her the way she was.

Geet,''get used to it, you will be dealing with it for next 60 years.''

maan,''how old you will be by then? Let me see, e...''

geet,''don't you dare say it maan'' but she was laughing.

Maan grabbed her and pulled her in a hug. Both lay there smiling.

Maan,''you seem so happy, I didn't know that my relationship with sam hurt you that much.''

geet played with his shirt collar and inhaled his scent deeply into her lungs,'' no, its not that.''

maan,''so, you like me beaten up?'' he asked jockingly.

Geet,''you broke his rib maan. I'd say he was the one who got beaten by you.''

Maan thought quietly, it was true that shuriya had been more hurt but he shouldn't have been, physically they were even match, infact shuriya must be more trained but maan's injuries were superficial, he was just humoring his family by staying at hospital and now home because he knew how much everyone got worried.

Geet,''what are you thinking?''

Maan,''nothing important, you are ok with me and sam now?''

Geet,''totally.''

Maan,''what are you hiding.''

Geet laughed,'' well, there was a small surprise for me in the diary and also a bit bigger when I went to meet sam that night.''

Maan look puzzled.

Geet,''well, she told me about a guy named MSK, who had this girl back at home whom he loved to tease. She told me that the guy secretly loved the girl but didn't realize it and then, the good friend had to take things in her own hand but still the guy won't share his emotion,...geet played with his shirt button...he would drove by her hostel at night, listen in to her conversations but never confessed..

Maan was shocked for moment, then an embarassing red colour flared his cheeks. ''she told you.''

he made to put her off his lap but geet put her arms around his neck and give him a good kiss which enabled to distract him.

Geet lifted her head and looked into his eyes,''why didn't you tell me Maan, I died a little each day I spent away from you at hostel thinking that you didn't care.

Maan,''at start I didn't want to be so open and so vernerable and later. I thought it wasn't important. You never said anything about you time there.''

Geet,''these small things matter a lot to us girls, and sam understood that knowing that you might never tell me. Don't be mad at her, she wants you to be really happy.''

Maan couldn't hold on to his anger because what sam had suffered from shuriya because of maan, he would never forget it.

He hugged, geet closer.''well, Mrs. Maan Singh Khaurana, this guy has been madly in love with you for past 2 years and he is admitting that he will love her throughout his life.''

Geet frowned and pulled away,''no you loved me even before, sam said so.''

maan,''how can sam say when I fell in love, its my heart, my mind.''

geet,''well tel me about your girlfriends in India.''

Maan,''what about them, god geet I don't think anyone of them write diaries and as I am no longer in contact with them, I can't take you to them.''

Geet hit him on chest,''idiot, I mean sam said that one of them dresses like me, second had personalitry resembling mine and third had name geet and all of them were brunettes.''

Maan,''so, I might like brunettes only.''

geet glared at him,''MSk admit it that you loved me whole my life.''

Maan,''i am not a pervert.''

Geet,''i am going to torture you maan, get your mind out of gutter, love doesn't equal horizontal tango in bed.''

Maan,''have you been reading M&B.''

Geet,''Maaan.''

Maan,''okay, let me think over it.''

he thought back over what she had said. He did miss annoying her when he had been away and jeanie spoke just like geet and she wasn't a brunette but he will not admit that to geet, she will never let it rest. He remembered the hungers and desires that plauged him after their engagement but before that amy be he had tried to find her in those girls. He neve did it intentionally, he was not that low but unconsciously...

Sam packed another of her bag, almost ready to go. Her flight was next week but she had pack most of her stuff.

There was a knock on door. Sam opened it and it was geet and she looked angry. She barged in..

''you are not going back to england.?''

Sam smiled,''i have to go back sooner or later any way, so why not now?''

Geet,''but why you have to go, you have got a great career and you have got me n maan.''

Sam,''come sit. She waited until finally geet sat before continuing.''India is not my home geet, I was born in england and I miss it. Not that I won't miss india or you guys but I am homesick. I have decided that I will go back and open a modelling agency, I have the experience and money and I want to do it.''

geet was quiet,''why these sudden change in your plans?''

Sam,''i have finally made peace with life, I am letting everything go and I will begin a new life and..i will help the young girls out there trying to make a living, this is thee best way I can help them, try to prevent what happened to me.''

geet,''but what about other things in your life, don't you want to get married?''

sam looked down at her hands,''i won't lie to you geet and I guess you know why it isn't possible for me.'' anyway, can you help me pack ?

Geet nodded and started to help but her mind was in turmoil. Ofcourse, she knew why sam can never marry someone else because for her shuriya was first and last, just like maan was for her. No matter what they did, love never dies.

Ridhima looked at her hands, the mehnidi gracing her hand bearing the name of her love. It was her mehnidhi ceremony today and everyone was so happy. Even shuriya was happy inn her happiness.

She was sitting alone in her room after the ceremony and tears rolled down her eyes, tomorrow she will leave this house forever but before that she had to confess her sins to the man who was never just a brother but was more like a father who had treated her like a daughter.

She got off her bed and slowly moved down he stairs toward his room and knocked. He would be awake, she knew, her brother rarily slept at night.

Shuriya opened the door and became worried.''ridhi, what happened.''

ridhima entered and hugged him, crying loudly knowing that this was last time, he will held her with this gentleness. He made her drink water. He knew her, knew that something was worrying her and had been waiting for her to tell him.

Ridhima looked up at him and told him everything.

Sam was sitting in her living room for last time perhaps, tomorrow, the furniture will get packed as well for shipping to england. She picked up the newspaper and took a sip of coffee. There was the wedding pictures of Ridhima Kashab, they had dubbed it a princess wedding. According to the reporter, the wedding was everything expected and much more. There were picyures after pictures of political figures both indian and foreign, models, actors from all over the world. She put the paper away. So, there was happily ever after for those who destroyed others happily ever after.

She got up and redid her ponytail, refusing to let her emotion rule her anymore. With sheer will power, she stopped her tears. There was a knock on the door. She opened the door without seeing who it was, very stupid of her and it was proven by the man standing there.

Shuriya kashab looked at her. She was momentarily shocked but quickly shake it off.''what?''

shuriya,''can I come in?''

Sam,''no.''

shuriya didn't say anything,''he gave her a folder and then quickly moved back and went toward elevator.''

sam wondering what had just happened. She went inside and locked the door. She opened the folder, first file contained all the shares in haunda hotel chains, he had transferred them to her. She opened the second file, it contained a copy of divorce papers signed by shuriya and naintara, apparently orgional was filed in court.

Her legs shaking sam sat on floor and looked at last file, she opened it, on it was written in shuriya's own handwritting

Geet sat opposite sam while Maan held sam.

Maan,''you can move in with us till you decide to go back.''

Geet nodded in approval.

Sam,''no, I am fine just just surprised'', a single tear rolled down her cheek, it was not a tear of sorrow but of anger and frustation. He thought everything could be same with a single I am sorry, who the hell he think of himself.

Geet saw two friends talking but her mind was somewhere else. If it was maan's way, he will stop shuriya and sam meeting but geet wanted the same happiness for her which she had for herself. She needed to talk to someone who would give her more information. Why had suddenly shuriya said sorry? And he hadn't tried to explain anything at all.

Maan grabbed her hand when she absently tried to move off bed,''where are you going?''

geet,''i guess sam would be hungry.''

maan threw a meaningful glance at tears rolling down sam's cheek and said,''i will make something.''

he clearly didn't know what to do. Geet hugged a sobbing sam as maan went to kitchen.

it was such a lucky chance that ridhima's in laws were throwing a party at haunda hotels and equally lucky that geet managed to get ridhima alone in the rest room.geet didnt went into lengthy introductions, simply asked about shuriya and sam, knowing ridhima was the one who had convinced shuriya that sam was not loyal to him.

Ridhima who looked actually quiet pale and none at a happy bride took a deep breath and said,''i told him the truth that naintara and I did everything and sam is innocent.''

geet,''so why isnt he on his knees begging her to forgive him. Instead he is here enjoying his sister party and caring not at all of sam.''

ridhima shook her head,''you don't understand, he will never shrink his duty,we were raised to follow traditions, he has always treated me like a daughter and no matter how angry or hurt, he will fullfill all his obligations but yu see not with love, its just a responsibility.''

geet,''why is he not after sam.''

ridhima,''he feels that he doesn't deserve her after what happened.''fresh tears poured down her cheek, he will never forgive himself.''

geet looked angrily at the girl crying, what use were these tears of her. Geet angrily strode out. She had to get shuriya alone.

shuriya looked out of his office window at the lights of city. There were no lights to lighten the darkness inside him.

Geet entered the office and knocke don the door. He turned toward her, his face already a blank mask.

Geet,''thanks for meeting me here, I wanted to talk about sam.''

shuriya just looked at her quiet.

Geet,''for god sake, stop this self pity, you are going to lose her and you deserve it but she doesnt derve that. Why can't you be strong for just once? Stop thinking about yourself and think about her. You just said sorry and thats supposedto be enough. Well, I have news for you Mr. kashab, stop being a moron, she is leaving on 25^th that is two days from today. Stop her from leaving, if you really love her.''

with that geet strode out of office and nearly collapsed,wow, she didn't understand how to relate this shuriya to shuriya of sam's diary. He was so silent,so unapproachable but the good thing was she said, what neede to be said. Now,all she had to do was sit and wait for happy news.

'...2 days later...

maan took a furious geet out of the airport.

Maan, calm down geet or they are going to gun us down taking us for terrorists.''

geet glared at him,''why are men so stupid, all he had to do was beg a little but no, he messed up everything. She has gone back.''

maan looked at calmly,''he doesnt deserve her.''

geet glared,''and you, you were egging her on, going on and on about shuriya, couldn't you have said a single nice thing in shuriya's favour.''

maan's sour expression was all the answer.

Maan,''okay, okay cease fire, let it go geet, she is happy the way she is, so why are we fighting.''

geet,''i dont fight, you are the one who start it.''

maan,''you started it last night as well.''

geet,''alli said was one small word and you.''

maan,''don't you dare say it geet, I resent that and you know it.''

geet's mood lightening teased him,'' oh come on, I just tease you.''

both were close now in the confines of the car. Maan trailed small kissesz on her jaw, her grin infectious.''lets get back home before they arrest us for another reason.''

geet kissed him on nose and said, ''sure, my darling pervert.''

maan,''geeet.''

Sam fumingly entered her apartment, she was happy to be back in england no doubt about it but she was mad at a certain guy who had the guts to say sorry on a piece of paper and then send her flowers. She threw the flowers in the trash can and went to her room. She laid down on the bed.''she was not going to forgive him, definetly not.''

a pebble came flying in through the window. Sam froze looking at it. She got up and unwrapped the paper wrapped around

she went slowly to the window and looked down, he was sitting on the bonnet of his car, he smiled SMILED at her, that did it, sam ran to washroom filled the bucket with water ignoring the happiness inside her that he was fighting for her that she was worth it. She went back and threw the water at him. he opened an umbrella, that she hadn't seen, at last moment.

He closed it and looked up at her smiling, sam smiled back and threw the bucket at him, it hit the target, smiling she closed the window
