Part 18
Rest of the ride was peaceful none spoke much, as they were way ahead the car they reached Delhi avoiding the peak hour rush (it takes 7 hrs and 48 mins to reach Delhi from HSPur) it was 5 pm by the time they entered the house
He called DM who informed that they were struck in the traffic and it seems that it will take another hour to reach the Mansion and that she has informed Pari who has made arrangements for Geet, Nakul also has instructions.
DM was an organized lady she did every thing in style Pari was her secretary, she was a 21 yr old charming girl studying interiors from a renowned college.
Nakul called Pari and she escorted Geet to her room.
While Maan was leaving Nakul asked him if he minded having high tea being served in half an hour, Maan said ok he will join Geet at the dining hall.
After he left Geet looked at Pari with a question in her eyes, Pari was a smart girl she patted her hands and informed that Maan does not live here but in the outhouse which is adjoining the main Mansion.
As they were heading to the room they introduced themselves
P: hi I am Pari, Savitri Devi's secretary, and you are for sure Geet her protg, I know she just called me in the morning and told about you, she also said that I must not ask you questions. Well I will definitely not ask you. You just go and freshen up, MK sir is very strict about punctuality if he says 30 mins it should be 30 mins not a min more not a min less.
G (OMG she speaks even more then me)
P: so this is your room and now you will say that you don't have your luggage so what will you wear after freshening up so let me tell you, I shopped the whole afternoon for you and have arranged all the necessary things for you.
SD told me that you would prefer wearing Indian dresses, so I brought them fro you plus I also brought some long skirts, tops of course the most decent ones,
I also brought you some make up, I even stuffed your bathroom though I did not know what brands you prefer but I brought what SD uses, and I even brought some foot wares for you, and now you will ask how did I know what size you wear simple SD told me.
You know these two SD and MK sir are complete perfectionist they can not tolerate imperfection, so they are always ready with a back up plan, their minds work faster that any super computer.
And she went on and on and on not even stopping to take breath.
Finally she left when Geet freshened up and changed, even when Geet was in the bath room she could hear her constant blabbering, she helped Geet to make her hair and then left when it was finally time for Maan to join her.
M; hello
G: hi
M: did you like the room?
G (looked at him with confusion)
M: oh! So she talked non stop and you did not even got a chance
to glance around (smiled)
Pari who was standing at a distance was taken aback seeing Maan smile, in her 3 yrs tenure here she has never seen this man smile.
She dragged herself a little closer so that she can hear what they were talking but still could not be seen
G: you are right. And you said that I am a chatter box
M; I take my words back, but does she talk even more than you (teasingly)
Pari rolled her eyes hearing that teasing tone
G: Maan, you better not
Pari almost fainted this girl who is even younger then her is calling him by his first name, she has never heard anyone other then SD addressing him by his name.
she was having one shock after another, she almost lost her balance and stumbled making a sound.
Maan jerked back and gave her a stern look
M: what are you doing here?
P: woh, I '
M: get lost (angry tone) your work here is finished go to your refuge and only show your face when DM comes
P; yes (almost in tears)
M: GO!
G(sternly) : Maan! (then she addressed her) Pari you take a break Nakul will inform you when DM comes
P: yes (she must be some one she even had a nerve to contradict him)
After she left
M: Geet you should have not interfered
G; oh! And then you would have seen her crying and then your anger would have shot up and you even would have given her a lecture on crying Females
M: whatever, shall we have our tea, its getting cold
G: of course, so how much sugar
They had their tea along with home made snacks. And retired in their respective rooms, i.e., he went back to the outhouse
G: will you join in for dinner?
M: I suppose yes
G: ok see you then
She went to her room she was taken aback by the size and the dcor;
it was quite a spacious room the walls were of baby pink color the curtains sofa covers bed sheets all reflected a girls taste no doubt Pari has done a good work at such a short notice,
the king size bed stood on the southern wall exactly in the center
a sofa set on the western center
study table on the southeast corner
on the northern wall was huge French window opening to a beautiful garden a divan laid in front on it to facilitate sitting and watching,
on the north east corner was a French door opening to the balcony
She went to explore it, it was a big balcony or say it was more of a terrace.
A balcony of similar size could be seen on the northern side it was very close if required one can jump and get to that balcony easily.
She looked around the same garden which was seen through the window continued here also and
exactly opposite to her was a smaller balcony not a part of the palace she was standing in, but part of an independent two storied bungalow, which looked like someone's home.
The light of the room was on and a man just sliding under the spreads, once he was well covered he switched off the lights by a remote.
She tried hard but she was not able to place who he was, his stature looked familiar,
was he Dev? Maan has said that Dev was here, and she had not seen him join them for tea, may be he was not living in the main mansion but in this bungalow, and why was he sleeping at this hour it was just 6:30 in the evening.
She has to find out who he was, ok she thought and decided to call Pari.
She went inside the room, but where will she find her, there seemed to be many rooms here, suddenly she saw a list tugged near the telephone she picked it up, o and there were numbers in it
"to dial any number press"0" and then the number
To use intercom press"#" and then the code

as I am reading the comments pls no Sameera is on line I will mention her in bits and peices, you all will know only the facts that are required of the story at present, only rememberthat Maan was married to her 4 yrs back, rest will come one by one.
