Imtiaz Ali has kept Aditi Rao Hydari's role in the Ranbir-starrer under wraps
Aditi Rao Hydari, the shy bua from Delhi-6 who has since moved on to many headlines-grabbing kisses with Arunodaya Singh in Yeh Saali Zindagi, has yet another number up her sleeve, we've heard.There's word that she is the best kept secret from Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar. The southern stunner is playing a major role in the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, which has so far made much only of Nargis Fakhri, the other female actor.
Aditi, who is getting used to the accolades, says she was even considered for the lead role, finally bagged by Fakhri. She says, "I was called to meet Imtiaz Sir for the lead. But he already had his mind set on Nargis and had signed her on.

This is not the first time Imtiaz has borrowed exotica from another country. Before Nargis, Brazilian model Giselle had played a Punjabi kudi in his Love Aaj Kal. "She didn't know a word of Hindi and could barely dance for the wedding sequence," an industry source said.
The sources added that though Nargis has the limelight, Aditi has a lot of footage and some powerful scenes in Imtiaz's next, in which she plays a journalist.
The role seems apt for the firebrand Aditi, who has made quite a mark with her slapping and smooching in Sudhir Mishra's film.
"I'm happy with the part I finally have in Rockstar. I am the narrator who helps the audience connect with Ranbir's character. It's a part similar to Rani Mukherjee's in Veer-Zara.
The chemistry between me and Ranbir is'well, you will have to see it for yourself," she says, leaving some secrets still under wraps, apparently.
A female co-star of Ranbir even goes so far as to suggest that rumours of the Nargis-Ranbir romance may well take a backseat after people see Aditi sizzle on screen.
