She dragged him to the jewelry shop & placed an order for him. With Geet ka Maan carved at the inner walls of the ring. The same type of ring was not their. Geet insisted she wanted the same plain band. So they had to wait for 3 weeks.
Maan was preparing very hard for his CAT exams while managing his challenging new project. Maan still never failed in picking her or dropping her. He was becoming over protective & possessive about Geet rather obsessed now. Staying away from her was driving him crazy. He would not spend even a minute away from her. The nights seemed endless & the days brought the worst out of him. His anger, rage of staying away from her was coming out in the form of anger on every one else he encountered in the course of the day. He would kill to just be with her for a minute longer. He hated business parties even though girls glued to him.
There was always some beautiful girl clinging to him in a party offering herself completely by the end of the party. Maan would be on phone with his little wify not even aware of wat those girls are talking about. He still couldn't decide wat to eat in a buffet. He would wait for her to instruct him. She decided his wardrobe, his menu, his every thing.
Geet was in her school when Maan received a call from Rano.
Rano broke down crying - papaji

Maans heart felt a hollow deep inside, like some one has suddenly pulled away again his only support. His philosopher, his guide, his ideal, his papaji, his wify !! OH no Geet he broke down with the thought of geets plight knowing about her papji. He punched the wall & broke the chair. How will she take it. His little wife can't cry, he couldn't see her cry. He couldn't take the pain of imaging his little sweetheart go through all this. He couldn't let this happen. How can this happen. He cursed himself, he hated himself how could he not be there when this happened. Why why did this happen at all, he kicked & punched the wall madly. He screamed GGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD
nahi ...why Geet why her papaji...why why. Security, doctor every one rushed towards Maan.

Maan immediately rushed to Rano who lied on the bed unconscious. He hugged her & cried. Maan finished all the formalities & sat near Rano crying like a baby.
As Rano was regaining her consciousness, he tried to control his emotions. Rano fluttered her eyes & looked at Maan & cried hugging him. Woh hume chod ke nahi jaa sakte. Hum unke bina kaise rahenge. Geet ..maan Geet ko kaise batyenga. Woh to aapne papaji se bahut pyar karti hain. Maan !! kuch karo na Maan unhe wapase le aavona. Maan !!!!! she cries madly.
Attendant walks in - sir ji body kab le jaa rahen ho
Rano cries out listening to those words.
Maan bashes him up & bleeds him almost to death - papaji hain woh body nahi
doctor & the guards takes the almost dead attendant away.
Drs little scared to confront Maans temperament. But still they had to talk to him.
Dr - papaji ka accident was pretty bad & the he couldn't use the word body ..he just couldn't..he searched for words to describe ..he thought & said papaji ka cremation jaldi karado. We won't advise u to wait for ceremonies.
Maan hugged Rano tighter & stood like a stone. His hands were frozen. He wished he would happily give his life, if only god to spare papaji's. Maan called darji about the whole thing.
Darji - beta ji aap log jo teehk lage karo. We will reach their at the earliest.
Maan paid full respect to the soul & with all proper ceremony conducted the ritual . Rahul & all office members joined him. While daadi took Rano house.
It was 3.00pm by the time the ritual was completed. Maan stood their watching the logs burn away papajis bruced smashed up body while others proceeded to the Handa hawali to pay their condolence to Rano & Geet. He his heart broke into pieces thinking that he actually set it ablaze. He sat down wanting to break his right that dared to do something like that.
Rano called Maan.
Rano - woh woh
Maan - ji hogaya, bus jaa raha hoon use lene.
Rano broke down crying again.
Maan reached the school to pick her. She came nibbling a chocolate & offered him a bite. He cried & hugged her. She was taken a back. She checked his forehead. Kya huwa? Ur not feeling well. Aur yah kya white dress pehen rakha hain? He couldn't say anything he just wiped his teas & drove the car towards the house.
Geet - kya huwa? Aap kuch bolte kyun nahi?
Tears kept welling down his eyes. He couldn't have said about her papaji to his little world. He kept looking other side & wiped his tears. She kissed his cheek mat cry krona..aapko dehk kar mujhe bhi rona aa raha hain. She started to cry, she was surprised that he didn't stop her from crying.
As the car turned into the drive was of the hawali
Geet - itna crowd kyun hain ghar ke bahar? She sensed some thing odd. She looked at Maan with pain in her eyes. She knew something was terribly wrong, & it was her pain that was flooding from his eyes. She immediately hugged him. Kuch nahi huwa na..she cried ..fumbled I know u won't let anything happen. He broke down, his heart bleeded hearing those words. aap kaho na sab teehk hain. He broke out of the hug & walked her to the house. No he didn't want to take her in there & face the brutal truth of the faith. How could he let sorrows touch her. He was supposed to be there standing between them, but the faith had set its path...pushing them into pain.
As the walked in the their loved filled living room now was filled with moaning & people in white dress. With a huge portrait of papaji with garland. Geet ran & hugged Rano ..mama !!! she just cried mama !!!he couldn't stand the sight of her crying, her breaking down. He went out & stood there crying. Darji hugged Maan & blessed him for being a support. Rajiender hugged him with a coldness in his heart. Brij just walked pass with hateredness.
Thai ji & raji hugged & cried with Rano & Geet. They sat their the whole day crying moaning. Maan spend the whole day & night outside the house. Being their always but not daring to face her. 2 days had passed & the ladies began with the ceremony to remove the suhag ki nishanis from Rano.
Thai ji - beta yeh riwaz hain
Maan shot a glare to them & asked every one to leave at once. Rano & Geet hugged Maan & cried. Thai ji definitely didn't like all this actually no one approved. Maan was least bothered of anyone. He couldn't let anyone do anything against her will.
13th day pooja was completed. All the 13 days Maan stayed out there outside the door. He didn't even for a second leave them alone.
