Dev and geet were sitting in the sitting room, unable to sleep. Dadima was sleeping and Roshini, simran and dad had all gone back to hospital.
Both Geet and dev were quiet staring into space both deep in their own thoughts, when Dev suddenly said, ''I will leave medicine and join Dar ji when he recovers.''
Geet instantly knew that he was feeling guilty just like her, both of them had refused to join Darji forcing Maan to do it, knowing that taking care of khaurana group of companies was very hard and it would be difficult for him to concentrate on both.
Geet,'' don't be an idiot, you have put so much effort into it and its your passion just not a career, I will join darji, and later, if possible I will help roshini mom as well in her charity work.''
Dev,'' Bro will never agree to let you take such a time consuming work.''
Geet ,''if left to him I will be sitting home forever doing nothing, but this is not his decision to make, he is a role model son,he has done everything all his family ever asked him to do, its time that I do something for my family as well.''
Dev,''come on, you tried to study your mother's favourite subject. But I , I was totally engrossed in my own little world.''
Geet,''i hope darji recovers quickly.''
Dev,''don't worry everything will be fine.''
Geet,''you should go and rest now.''
Dev,''i think I should, I haven't slept for past 3 days, what about you?''
Geet,'' raj dad said, he will send Maan and yash papa home, so I will wait for them, you go and sleep, I will wake you there is any new news.''
Dev went up to his room.

Geet was still waiting for Maan and papa, when dadi ma came. She came and sat beside Geet and put her arm around geet in a silent gesture of comfort.
Dadima,''you should be resting as well.''
Geet,''i am ok. I was just waiting for Papa and Maan.''
Dadima nodded quietly.
Geet,'' why aren't you sleeping? Its not good for your health.''
Dadima,''i don't know how all this happened, we were so happy at having you back and then, your wedding, Gurvind was really happy as well. We always wanted our families to unite and now it happened but now this.''
Geet,''eveything will be fine, our prays will bring Darji back, I know darji will not stay in coma for long.''
Savitari devi thought about the hotel chain, they had the money and resources to built a new chain but darji's reputation will take a huge blow when this news will leak to general populace, the take over news will be soon on every news channel, then what will they do? Her head was hurting from thinking about it. May be she should tell geet after all she needed to be at the meeting, she was not the controlling partner but her opinion will count.
Dadima,''i know he will be soon back on his feet, he always used to say that he will see your children grown up before his eyes and then, he will die but I am more worried about the hotels''.
Geet,'' don't worry Maan and yash papa knows everything, they will run it properly till darji can come back and'' she added resolutely,''when he comes back I will join him as he always wanted me to do.''
Dadima,'' its little complicated now, Maan or yash can no longer control it. Yash sold his share to maan who tranferred them to you and you already had shares, so now you have 49%. maan don't have any shares.''
Geet,''but darji was going to transfer his own 31% shares to Maan and till he is in coma, yash dad as his legal heir can use those shares.''
Dadima,''gurvind sold his shares and some one else bought all the shares and also bought other shares from other share holders.''
geet was too shocked to speak for a moment, then''this is impossible, darji will never do it, and how could anyone buy them without our notice.''
Dadima,''of course there is some one trusted who betrayed us but we cannot do anything, the new owner has called a meeting tomorrow and I think you should go.''
Geet,'' but I don't know anything, won't it be better to send maan on my behalf.''
Dadima,''his temper is too volatile to control and he might end up doing something we will all regret, we need to be calm in this situation. In fact, you have to promise me to not tell Maan anything. Raj and I are doing everything possible. We have contacted Suniya Ghandi and told her about the whole situation, we are big financer of their party, she will listen to us. ''
Geet thought about hiding it from Maan,was it right? But dadima was looking at geet expectantly, geet sighed and promised to not tell him anything.

Geet and Savitari devi went to the hotel together, both were shown to a sitting room. Savitari devi had appointment with shuriya. Other ex-board members were there, there expressions worried, Malhotara uncle who were an old family friend said that he had no idea how this happened, he said he sold his shares last year. It appeared to geet like this game was planned carefully quiet some time ago. She was talking to others while a secretary asked savitari devi to come with her, she took her to
a room which used to be darji's office.
Shuriya was waiting for her, he stood up when savitari devi entered and touched her feet in traditional greeting. Savitari was a bit relieved, she hadn't seen him since he was 10.
he gestured her to one of the sofas and sat opposite her, politely offering her tea. Then, he waited for her to continue.
Savitari devi,''i think you know the purpose of my coming.''
he nodded.
Savitari devi,'' my family is very important to me and I consider haunda's my family. You were raised to respect relationships as well. Gurvind is your elder, and he is in a very critical stage, and this''she gestured at room,''is his whole life's hard work and losing it will kill him.''
Shuriya,''i won everything fair and square. I am deeply troubled by his poor health condition but what is done is done. However, I was indeed raised to respect relationships, and you are my elder, I will respect ypur wishes but I have a condition.''
savitari devi who was surprised that he came straight to topic, being a diplomat he knew the fine art of twisting words.''you will return this place to its right ful owner?''
Shuriya,''yes the right ful owner, I believe Geet haunda is the right ful owner incase something happen to gurvind haunda as sh even now owns 49% shares.''
Savitari devi,''yes, she owns it but my grandson..'' shuriya cut her sentence,''no that is my condition that only geet haunda can run this chain, I am 51% share holder and I will let her control it under my supervision until I am sure she is capable of handling it.''
Savitari devi,''why not sell back the shares?''
Shuriya,''because I never back out from anything I decide and I will never give my shares up, I will agree to become silent partner but as long as geet is the one handling it and she is not messing up, its your choice to take it or leave it.''

Geet was sitting beside the swimming pool looking into the water, she had no idea how she got into this mess, darji was out of coma but need peace nad quiet so Yash and roshini had taken him to HP, Maan was back to work with no idea what happened as dad was keeping it under wraps, in fact Maan thought that dad was running hotel according to yash instructions. Maan was busy in his own work, he did not even know that geet had joined the haunda group of industries, she hated lying to him but she was doing it regularly and her biggest lie was Shuriya Kashab. He was helping her learn the ropes as he himself owned several hotels.he was extremly impersonal and formal. She remembered meeting him in |Shimla but he never mentioned it. She had been shocked to realize that he was Sam's shuriya and at some moments felt extremly guilty. Sam was Maan's friend and here she was working with a person who had hurt his friend, he will never see reason to it. Infact, he seem to hate Kashab as well but Kashab himself never mentioned Maan or Sam.
What will happen when maan will know about it? She should tell him but as time was passing it was becoming more difficult to confess. She mentally argued to him many time thinking about points in her own favour like it was darji's hardwork, she could not see it being wasted, etc....
She heard foot steps and looked up, it was one of the servants who came to call her for lunch. She got up and went to main portion, dadima, dad and simran mon all were sitting. Dev was back at hostel, and Maan at work, she slid into her seat and said, hi.
Geet's worried expression was reflected in dadima's eyes, she was worried about Maan's reaction as well but did not know how to tell him. They knew he will find one of these days.
They were eating when main door to dining room banged open ad Maan barged in a muscle twitching in his cheek and he was glaring at geet. She nearly chocked on her food, it was like her imagination had bring this on.
