To Love Again - Part ' 42

As they entered to the house Myra said "she is so cute like you, Geet", and smiled at Mahek who hid her face beside her mommy's neck. Geet heard the sound of a man's laughter from Daadi's room as they passed Daadi's room to go up stairs. Who it could be, she wondered as she found it difficult to believe that Daadima has someone so close to her other than Maan. She could not take a single step further, as she felt her feet were fixed on to the ground with cement, she felt numb with the thoughts that rambled in her mind freely, forcing her to turn back and see who he was. With all her effort she turned back and walked towards Daadima's room, she knocked at the door to derive their attention to her and she succeeded as Daadima asked her to get into the room. Myra, who was standing aside with Mahek, exchanged a quick glance with Daadi in her nervousness not knowing how Geet would react with the fact about Vicky.

Geet excused herself from them and went out to go to her room to spend some time alone, she thought about the mysteries in the family and wondered about how much more that she still has to face. Maan, being her husband has never mentioned about his second brother Vicky, to her and neither did Daadima. She become saddened with the thought that Maan did not tell her the truth about his family and brother, but there must be a reason for that, she concluded.

Geet was still restless thinking about the Vicky mystery when Maan came home in the afternoon; he used to come home a bit early since Mahek was borne knowing that he has to help his wife at times. Unlike other days Geet was silent while giving an afternoon bath to Mahek and Maan sensed that something was wrong with his bubbly wife, so he stepped into the washroom and splashed some water onto Geet's face expecting the same from her. Nothing has happened like he expected, Geet remained silent and wiped her face with her dhupatta and attended Mahek who was kicking the water splashing onto Maan and Geet, making them wet while she enjoyed. "Looks like daddy's princess has annoyed her mommy today" Maan whispered into Geet's ears and moved towards Mahek to help her with the toys inside the bath tub. "No, mommy's princess didn't do anything to annoy her mommy, but her daddy did something to annoy her mommy" Geet spoke out while making a face at Maan, who stared at her puzzled not knowing what he did wrong.

"Where are we going, baby?" Maan asked indirectly to Mahek but looking at Geet who was combing her hair, while standing in front of the mirror from where she could clearly see Maan who was sitting on the bed. "Baby Mahek, tell your daddy that we are going to visit Vicky uncle" Geet let out what was disturbing her for so long and Maan cried "what?" as he rose from the bed. "Yes, Vicky your own brother" Geet turned to face Maan who was stunned with her answer; she wanted to know what Maan hid from her.

Geet stood on her feet and answered him "I know everything about him and I am not going to tell, like you did. Ah don't worry Maan, I won't trouble you with such mysteries that you never wanted me to know" she spoke to him and to him it was a false accusation against him. Maan moved closer to her and asked "what did I hide from you, Geet?" she took a step backward and answered "everything". Maan felt like that somebody slapped hard across his face when Geet said he hid everything from her, but she did not know why he has never told about such issues within his family.

Though Vicky and Dev being Maan's step brothers they have never realized it in their lives, until Dev married to a girl named as Nayantara, who always wanted Dev to be the heir of the Khurana family. It was Daadima and Maan who were against her, Vicky being the youngest among the three brothers did not have much knowledge of how wicked that the real life games could turn out to be at times. As Nayantara ruined Maan's life with Samera, she even spoiled Vicky's life too with her false accusations, by bringing up some of the hired guys to prove Vicky guilty in front of his family without his knowledge. It was due to the shame that Vicky left his family by then and when Maan discovered the truth it was too late to bring Vicky back to home as he had left the city by then.
