Forever -Part 9

It was a different experience for Maan to walk from office to his apartment, following every step of Geet secretly, but it was not too bad either as it relieved his anxiety. Geet went straight into the room never dare to look at him or ask him a single question that could have trapped him right then and there. Thinking that she might be too tired after working for a full day with so much tension, Maan decided not to bother her with anything. He took out her earring from his pocket and brushed his lips against it heedlessly and closed his eyes like a drunken head, but he rushed into the kitchen with the abrupt opening of the door.

Maan lifted his hand to knock at the door, but he hesitated thinking that he should not ask her why she reacted like that, because he did not want her to know that she means more than just a secretary to him. He straightened himself as he concluded what to do, and banged on the door calling her name "Geet, open the door." Praying to babji, Geet opened the door and hid herself behind the door as Maan sounded very angry that he would do anything. She was proved wrong when Maan walked into the washroom as they share the only washroom in the apartment, so she quickly threw herself onto the bed and covered herself with the blanket.

After a long time, Maan came out of the washroom and found the nervous Geet who was sitting on the bed. She got out of the bed and ran to him at the very moment she saw him coming out of the washroom, inquiring what was up with him "are you alright? I was worried for you" she broke out in front of him and touched his forehead as if she was more of a crazy lover. "Geet, I'm fine, nothing had happened to me" Maan helped Geet to sit back on the bed and wiped off her tears from his handkerchief. "You have scared me to death" Geet grumbled within her tears and Maan hushed her by putting his finger on her lips "Shh! Not anymore" and he looked deep into her eyes. As their gazes met they felt that something different and new ran within their nerves, it was a dewy feeling for them. "I'm sorry Geet" Maan found the exact words within her deep eyes and whispered the words into her ears as if he was hypnotized by her power. It was not only Maan who was spelled bound, but both of them. He put aside the strands of hair that covered blocked his way to her ears, he then put on the earring on her ears and inhaled her sweet scent that filled his hungry soul. Geet too closed her eyes feeling his warm breaths on her bare neck making her to feel that her uncontrollable heart would pop out at any time.

"No Daadi, actually the room is in a mess" Maan opposed Daadi when she tried to enter into the bedroom, but she told him to relieve his tension as she was there only to help him but not to make things worse for him. "Wow, Maan you told me the room is messy" Maan looked into the room when he heard Daadi's words and he was shocked by seeing his room after sometime, everything was perfect on its place. He sighed relieved but he was more bothered about Geet as he did not know where and how she would be right then. When he saw the washroom door closed he assured himself that Geet would have locked up herself there, but Daadi proved him wrong by opening the washroom door. "Daadima, are you up with an investigation?" Maan finally asked Daadi as her actions made him go crazy and mad for not knowing what might have happened to the owner of his soul.
