Hey guys: Thank you for your comments...it really encourages me to write more and more....here is the next part..and do hit the like button and/or comment 😆😆😆....hope this is long enough!

Chapter 8

It has been two days since Maan asked Geet about the kidnapping incident...he found out the necessary information about the kidnapper...now he was more worried and scared for her safety and safety of others...his main worry was how do the two kidnapper's know each other...and how do they communicate with each other...he wanted to ask her more information about the kidnapper's but was scared that she might go into depression again...

Geet was finally coming out of her shell...she was very talkative..he never imagined that the quiet girl that he met about a week ago...the girl that he looked after to make sure is safe could talk to much...he actually liked her talking but deep down he knew that she was still kind of apprehensive whenever he comes to the room but she trusted him...it wasn't easy to forget what she went through...he liked her spirit and her strength..it still amazes him that the girl who looks so petite could escape the clutches of that monster.

Maan came to Geet's room with her morning tea...
Maan: Good morning Geet (with a smile and handed her the coffee)
Geet: Good morning Maan...how are things going with the case so far?
Maan: Still there we are trying our best
Geet: Maan I would be more then happy to help...I want that monster caught
Maan: you and me both...(after a while) Geet I wanted to ask you more details about where you were held..if you are comfortable with it...
Geet looked at Maan: I can tell you what I remember I don't know if it will be helpful..
Maan: Geet anything you say as of now will help a lot..we are at a dead end right now...
Geet: Ok...well all I remember is that the guy was different from the one that actually kidnapped me...he made sure that I was comfortable...the room that I was held in was newly furnished because I could smell the paint...he would come in whenever he wanted...
Maan held her hand...
Geet continued: he had house rules: he told me not to bother asking for any help and never try to escape or else the punishment would be death...I broke the house rule...I communicated with other girls in the house and when he found out...he beat me up...and that's when I escaped...
Maan: Thank you Geet that was very helpful...ohh and doctor said that you are going to be discharged today...
Geet: Really, that is great..I can't wait to go home...
Maan: umm Geet you can't go home...
Geet: what do you mean?
Maan: Well since you escaped am sure that he will try to find you...and if he can break into your house once he might be able to do it again...so you can't go home...
Geet: hmm you are right...maybe I can stay at a hotel...I have some money saved up..
Maan: That won't be necessary...you will come and stay at my house...
Geet: What? That is fine...I can stay at a hotel..
Maan (angry) Geet I don't want to hear anything..you are my responsibility until I solve the case...Now get ready and we are going....
Geet: but Maan how can I stay...
Maan: Geet don't worry I have Dadima at my house as well...I will be outside of the room...now get ready and come out...I brought some clothes for you...(he handed her the clothes and left the room)
Geet thought: I thought he was nice..he is such a kadoos and akhru...

After a while Geet came out of the room wearing a light pink salwar kameez that Maan brought for her...he couldn't stop staring at her...Geet looked at Maan and blushed when she saw him looking at her...
Geet: Maan...are you sure that it is fine with me staying?
Maan came out of his trance: Geet I said it is fine means that it is fine..(angry)
Geet gets irritated: Fine...I am just asking..why are you getting angry...
Maan: you are asking me same thing again and again...if it wasn't ok then would I tell you to come...now come and don't argue with me...
Geet: Am arguing?? You are the one being arguing you kadoos...
Maan turned around: What did you say...
Geet: woh mein...it slipped out of my mouth..sorry
Maan didn't mean to make her upset he came close to Geet: Geet I am doing this for your safety...
Geet: woh I meant to say what about your Dadima
Maan: She is fine...I told her already about you...now lets go

Maan and Geet reached Maan's home...Geet was shocked to see such a big house...she wondered if Maan is that rich then why is he doing in this profession..he is already well off..Maan carried Geet's luggage from the truck and into the house...once there Maan's Dadima was already waiting for both and had lunch placed on dinning table...
Dadima: Welcome beta..make yourself welcome at home...
Geet: Namaste Dadima...
Dadima: I have your room set up already next to Maan's but before that lets have lunch...and you can go take some rest...Maan told me what happened..don't worry you are safe here...
Geet: Thank you Dadima...

They all ate lunch...Maan kept looking at Geet interacting with Dadima...he noticed that it was easier for Geet to make friends and get to know someone...she was so innocent...but after seeing her anger at the hospital he knew not to mess with her..he smiled at his own thoughts...he hated the person whoever was behind it....Dadima in between her conversation noticed Maan looking at Geet with a smile...
Dadima: Maan why are you smiling...Geet looked at Maan also...
Maan wasn't expecting this question and didn't realize that Dadima had caught him: umm woh I was thinking that if Dev was here it would've been nice..
Dadima: are you sure that is the reason....
Maan: Yes Dadima...(he quickly finished his lunch) ok I will see you both later...I am going down to the station to meet Adi and meet Dev...
Dadima: Ok beta...come back soon...

Soon after Maan left...Geet and Dadima finished as well...Dadima showed Geet her room and told her to rest for the night and will call her for dinner...Dadima liked Geet...she was so polite and had good sanskars...she was happy that at last Maan had noticed a girl..he would be so busy with his work day and night...she decided she needed to make some plan...
