To Love Again - Part – 31

It was almost lunch time when Adi informed Maan about Sameera coming to Khurana Constructions to meet Sasha. 'Sir it was Sameera and I'm one hundred percent sure' Adi tried to assure Maan when he gave a puzzled look. Maan came out of his cabin like a fast blow of wind to face Sasha 'Sasha, you know that I don't want her in my office, so why did you ask her to come?' Sasha felt the tremble in Maan's voice as he spoke. 'Sorry MK, I didn't call her, in fact she came to ask about Geet' Sasha's words alerted his mind about the coming situation. 'Geet?' he murmured her name and concluded that Sameera was up to something.

Daadi continued staring at Maan forgetting to blink her eyes upon seeing his anger. She was confident knowing her grandson would never forget what she has taught him in life and he would try and control his frustrations in his own. 'How dare you? How dare you get into my house?' Finally Maan started speaking focusing his gaze on Sameera. 'Oh! Maan, I just came here to wish all the best to Geet with her delivery especially when you are married to her only to save her from being exposed' Sameera was indirect but everyone present there knew what she meant.

Geet felt Maan's hold tightened on her wrist as he shivered from anger and frustration. His eyes changed its colour as he answered Sameera with a shaky voice 'you have no right to say anything about my wife and better you leave my house right now' it was more like a warning. 'Maan, I understand your pain but it isn't your fault at all, after all the baby is not yours' Maan felt Sameera's words break his heart into pieces again bringing the bitter truth in front of him. He knew it was not his baby, but he accepted it as his very own because it was Geet's, only hers. Geet has gone through the betrayal long time before and Maan did his best helping her to forget that night mare with his love showering up on her.

Maan freed his held and let Geet's hand go, before approaching to Sameera. He did not want Geet's presence here to witness what was going on but he could not ask her to leave as well. 'Sameera' Maan roared at Sameera 'I have tolerated more than enough of you and before I do something wrong, leave' his eyes nearly burned Sameera with anger. Sameera didn't move but stared at Geet and said 'I can leave but still the truth will remain the same.' Maan lifted his hand unknowingly to slap Sameera but it was Geet's voice that stopped him 'No Maan!' she did not want her husband to stoop so low. The security guards finally managed to send Sameera out of the Khurana Mansion before they were lectured by Daadi telling that they have to check each and every one entering the house carefully.

Maan headed towards the gym with anger and pain, as he did not want to show his emotions to Geet, who tried to follow him to the gym but Daadi stopped her 'Geet bte, let him go. He needs sometime alone and he will come back, poor guy could not bear it anymore' Daadi put her arm across Geet's shoulder and helped her to lay down on the cushion. Daadi served Geet some juice and massaged her forehead knowing that she too was crying her heart out from inside.

Geet stopped at the door of the gym and saw Maan's shirt and tie thrown away onto the ground. He was kneeling in front of the pieces of glasses he has destroyed with his hands and she saw blood oozing from his cuts. Geet barged into the gym and stood next to him as she could not bend herself down with her huge belly. Feeling her presence Maan turned and hugged her nestling his head on her tummy feeling the moves of their baby which always brings them together. 'Maan' Geet murmured his name touching his head wanting him to get up and clean his cuts but stood there still for him.

'Geet?' Maan called her name after a while breaking the silence between them and Geet felt the baby responded to his voice at once. He too felt the same and lifted his head to ask her, she nodded and asked him to talk again. He did the same and the baby responded to his words forcing him to clear the thoughts within his mind about it. Maan smiled at Geet as though he has forgotten everything happened a while ago, and noticed the stain of blood on Geet's dress 'Geet, you are bleeding' Maan rose to his feet at once and tried to lift Geet with his arms. Geet giggled before answering 'no baba, I'm not bleeding but it's from your hands and I tried not to disturb you' Geet touched his chest with her face slightly while talking. Maan too smiled and let Geet help him to clean his wounds for him.

Daadi was sitting at the dinner table when Maan and Geet came down to join her. She let out a sigh seeing both of them happy together and thanked God for helping Maan to come over it easily. 'Daadima, you could have called us, rather than sitting here all alone' both Maan and Geet greeted Daadi with love and respect before sitting at the table. 'Actually we could have come earlier, but Geet wanted to see the baby's room and I had to stop her entering there' Maan justified why they were late for dinner. 'See Daadima, Maan didn't allow me there, I should see it, right? After all I would be the mother of the baby' Geet started with her complaints as usual. Geet and maan spent some more time with Daadi after dinner talking about the delivery as the next day was a Sunday. Little did they knew it was the last time they could talk so freely with each other as it was the last night before Geet's delivery.

'Maan? Maan?' Geet called for Maan at dawn feeling the pain around her hips. Maan opened his eyes and saw her sitting on the bed with terror in her eyes. 'Geet? What happened dear? You had a bad dream?' Maan was unable to get the point this time. Geet looked at him with teary eyes and slowly took his hands and kept it on her tummy and murmured 'It is coming'. Maan widened his eyes with excitement and terror knowing that Geet has to experience the pain all alone this time.
