Is this the end of the road for real TV?

We are all witnessing the reality of the reality shows. I think the original concept of the reality shows started with the fact people should not think that the deserving candidate lost. But for some funny reason the whole concept is backfiring on us and the TV medium, which is facing a lot of controversies regarding the same.

If any of you are following Saregamapa 2005 , the same thing happned there too. What about Fame Gurukul, does the person really deserve the 1 crore or whatever contract, there are hundreds of deserving Rooprekhas, who sing 100 times better than Rooprekha, I dont even want to talk about the singing talent of Qazi.

I haven't witnessed Indian Idol I, but from the fan following of Abhijeet and Amit, looks like it was probably a fair game. But that probably makes the only one.

On the contrary there's hardly a great upset when it was only the judges decision. Amey won so many rounds of Saregamapa when it was the judges call.

Leaving aside Farah's comments about performance do we really disagree with the judges, be it Anu, Sonu or Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan or KK.

Reality shows better stick to ones when the stakes are not so high......what do you think?
