Bipasha plays a Kashmiri

The Kashmir that was white as snow is a battleground today. The condition of the state prompted Rahul Dholakia to make a film on Kashmir called Lamhaa
He received a lot of flak for casting Bipasha Basu as his lead, as it is believed that Kashmiris are fair. "When I signed Bipasha, a lot of people thought that I had gone mad because she is too dusky to play a Kashmiri. The popular belief is that they are fair with green eyes, but I don't agree," says Rahul.
On Bipasha's performance, he says, "Bipasha has done a wonderful job in her role of a Kashmiri woman. She is a good actress and has given good performances in Corporate and Dhoom 2. I'm sure that Lamhaa will give her a new image," he concludes.
