Hey friends, here i am back with the next update. Its been really long, and i dont know if this update shall be upto your expectations. I have worked really hard on this one, and hope it would appeal to you all. Please do leave a comment, be it a short one, or do press the like tab. It would really mean a lot to me.

SPECIAL NOTE: This part is dedicated to two of my bestest friends on IF, i know they'll understand its them, love you both, and will miss you, always.

RECAP: Armaan and Riddhima spend many blissfull days at Riddhima's apartment, while Armaan pretends to recover from his fake fracture. One night, when Armaan had planned to wish Riddhima first of all, for her birthday, there enters Abhi, misunderstands Armaan's presence in Riddhima's room, n hits him. Armaan doesnt defend himself, and leaves abruptly, Riddhima asks Abhi and Nikita to leave, and in the loneliness, she understands Armaan's plan to wish her, and she is now eager to meet him.

PART 22

Riddhima paced from here to there in the guest room, reflecting back, upon Armaan's behaviour. She had been having a nice shower, and came out as she heard Abhi's raised voices, and found him hitting Armaan, whereas Armaan did not raise his hand, not even to defend himself. After living with Armaan, and knowing him so closely, she knew the reason, but she wanted to confirm it, she would have to make Armaan confess the reason. Next, what she thought would never happen, did happen. Armaan hit Abhi right in the face, n boy, that punch might have hurt a lot. This time also, his reason for raising the hand, was similar, and she knew she needed Armaan to tell her soon. Armaan's last words, that is, all what he spoke before leaving the room, made her urge to meet him, more stronger. She knew she had to do it, now, or never. What added to her urgency to meet him, was this small surprise, the birthday cake, that lay in front of her, whose candles seemed to have merged with the cream itself. She thought of his happy face, when she would've entered the room, and he would've been the first one to wish her, to surprise her. The thought of his happy face brought a smile to her face, and she knew only one person could help her. She immediately picked up the nearest phone, and called 'the person'.

After Riddhima had made the call, she got ready for the next step. She changed in a pair of blue shorts, with a matching white tee n a red hoodie jacket to go with it, and a pair of sneakers [ her this dress is gonna help her in the next step, isliye itni description, and just so tht you arent confused, Riddhima came out of the bathroom in a bathrobe when she heard Abhi's voice, obviously there was no time to waste, right ;) ]. She heard some noise from downstairs, and knew it was her 'the person'.

"Hello, Ridzi here, yeah, listen to me, no, nothing is fine, stop, just listen, yeah, get it here, right now, you know what am i talking about, no, dont argue, its mine, and i need it, just now, urgent, yeah, okies, i am waiting, hurry, please"

Riddhima looked downstairs from her window, n immediately rushed down. She very carefully sneaked past Jack and Mack. There it was, the person she needed the most, on the thing she required, right now. Anjali removed the helmet she had been wearing as she descended the bike. There were innumerable questions on her face as Riddhima closed the distance between them. Riddhima took the helmet from Anjali as she settled it on her head.

"Ridzi, what happened, whats the problem, why did you ask for your bike, and that too at this time, you did not tell anything on the phone, please Ridzi, i am getting worried, tell me whats the matter, and yeah, happy ...", Anjali spoke it all in one go, but she was cut in between by Riddhima,

"STOP, Anjie, please dont, dont wish me right now, please, and dont ask me anything, i need to go, right now, i have to go, i have to make it all right, let me go, i'll be back and will tell you everything, but for now, i have to go, and thanks for the bike", Riddhima spoke as she started her bike,

"Its him, its Armaan, right? Its about him, haina, you are going to him (Riddhima nodded as Anjali spoke softly, she had seen the urgency in Riddhima's eyes, and the restlessness in her stated that it had to be Armaan). Ok, go, i will talk to you later, and all the best, go get him girl", Anjali tried to pat Riddhima's back, but Riddhima had already vanished into the thin air.

Riddhima drove the bike at a speed, that it looked like she was competing with the speed of light. The events which took place at her place were rewinding n forwarding in her mind again and again. She wanted to reach Armaan, and be at his side, as soon as possible. She knew he would be in a state, where she thought it was really necessary for her to be with him. Would he be angry, depressed, hurt, uff!!! All these thoughts were making her longing for him increase every second. Finally, after lost of struggle by her mind to drive in the correct direction, she reached his house. She stopped her bike a little far from the gates of the big mansion, and analysed her chances of going inside. She knew it was only Armaan there, everyone else was out of town, but she also knew that after the events with Abhi, Armaan wont meet her. She weighed her other possibilities, and came up with the best one. She moved from there, to the place from where she could see Armaan's bedroom. She parked her bike there, and started climbing the wall. She slipped a few times, but finally, she managed to go on other side (saare scurity sensors band hain, my birthday gift to her you see). She moved swiftly through the garden, and reached just under the balcony of Armaan's room. She saw the room, just one floor to climb, and she prayed to God ki just by chance, but Armaan should have left the balcony door open. She took hold of the pipeline, standing next to her, and started her small steps to climb it. But looked like God did not want them to meet so easily, the pipeline was very slippery, and she was slipping down again and again. She did not lose hope, and instead, climbed with more determination, the next time.

Riddhima had reached midway, when suddenly, she heard some foot steps. The sudden realisation made her jerk, n losing her balance, she slipped again, in the way, brushing her elbow with a nail. She fell down, n immediately tried looking for the source of the footsteps, without being discovered, but to her disappointment, no one was there. She had probably imagined that noise, and once she was sure, she again started climbing, this time, successfully landing in the balcony. She was disappointed when she saw the darkness in the room, through the glass doors. But nevertheless, she tried opening the door, n yes, it was open, as if just waiting for her to come inside. Riddhima entered the room, and was immediately engulfed by Armaan's fragrance. It was as if he was all over the room, she didnt get a clear picture of his room because of the darkness, but still, her heart knew he was somewhere closer. She started exploring the room, in darkness only, lest the watchmen got some clue of her being here. Right through the balcony, she had entered his main bedroom, but after sometime, she knew he wasnt here. Next she evaded the bathroom, as well as the study attached to his room, but again, failure caught her. Just when she had this sudden urge to switch on the lights, she saw another door. She still wanted to switch on the lights, but didnt know what made her move to check that room first. She very creepily and quietly opened the door, without any noise, and closed it right behind her back.

As she turned to have a view of the room, she was shocked beyond limits (areh yaar, guess karlo, very easy you see). The room was lit by the moonlight, which came through the balcony glass doors. Only, this time the curtains were not drawn, which helped the moonlight enter, and gave her a view of the room. In front of her, lay the walls of the room, adorned with pictures. Every picture of her, that had ever existed, was on the walls. She was so surprised with this, that she couldnt resist moving along the walls and touch them. As she moved, she also took in the geography of the room. It was a big room, smaller to the one compared to the main bedroom, but still big. Perhaps it was a mini bedroom, for Armaan, if he ever got bored from the other one. She scanned the room, for any sign of Armaan, but failed again. It irritated her now, because she knew he was there, the question was, WHERE? Amidst all this, she suddenly saw a picture, larger in size than the others, which caught her attention, not because of its size, but because of its content. It was a picture of them dancing, on the night of Rahul and Muskaan's pre-engagement party thrown by Anjali. She immediately went to touch it, to touch him, to feel that blissful moment she had shared with him. In her haste to reach the picture, she suddenly tripped in the darkness, only to land in the most secure place for her in the universe, in Armaan's arms.

There was a gap between the bedrest, and the wall, and apparently, Armaan was sitting there, with his head in his knees, and thoughts of Riddhima all over his heart and mind. Just as he was going through his thoughts, he felt her presence. He knew it could not be possible, she would be Abhimanyu and Nikita right now, but his heart seemed to disagree with his thought. He still ignored the feeling of her being closer to him, and continued grieving over his thoughts. Suddenly, he knew he had to do it, he had to react, Riddhima was in danger, and he couldnt let that happen. He tried getting up, just listening to his heart, following the unsaid instructions, when all of a sudden, Riddhima landed in his arms, and since he was in the middle of getting up, he also fell down, with Riddhima on top of him.

Riddhima knew it was what God wanted, as soon as she had fallen, she knew Armaan would be there to save her, and boy, didnt her intuition just come true? She landed swiftly in his arms, and even though she knew he was there, n she wouldnt be hurt, she couldnt help closing her eyes. Perhaps, this time, it was not due to fear of falling and getting hurt, but because she couldnt believe what was happening, was true, or a dream. Incase it was a dream, she did not want to wake up, and hence, closed her eyes.

Armaan knew she had her eyes closed, and for once, even he closed his eyes, just so that no one would distirb him from his beautiful fantasy, which right now was coming to be true. He could feel that her heart beat was just like his, he felt so connected to her, as much as he'd never felt, never ever. He was wearing an unbuttoned sleeveless jacket (guys, remember his white sleeveless jacket, ufff, why is it so hot here suddenly), and because of this, Riddhima's hands touched his bare skin, making him highly aware of her closeness to him. As if this wasnt enough, she suddenly snuggled closer to him, and her hot breath touched his chest. Armaan tightened his grip on her, never wanting to let go. He felt totally complete today, as complete as he could ever be. Suddenly from nowhere, thoughts of his fight with Abhi came to his mind, and he regreted his closeness to Riddhima. Immediately, he left her, n gently pushed her down, got up, towards the exit.

Riddhima lay peacefully closer to him, closer to his heart. She involuntarily snuggled closer to him, bringing her face near his chest. And as an immediate reaction, he also tightened his hold on her. It was as if heaven couldnt be any better for her, but suddenly, she felt him go stiff. Riddhima knew the reason for this was probably a flashback of the previous events. Riddhima didnt want to let him go, she couldnt let him go, so as soon as he pushed her down gently, n started to walk away, she got up, and pulled him, by holding his wrist, using all her force.

Armaan was walking towards the exit, when he suddenly felt a pull on his wrist. He wasnt ready for this, result being, he was turned around, and immediately crashed into Riddhima, who was standing just behind him. Perhaps even Riddhima did not know of how much force she had used, and that the result would be Armaan facing her. So, when he crashed into her suddenly, Riddhima got a sudden push, and she was pinned to the wall. To support himself, he put his hands on the wall.

Riddhima was suddenly pinned to the wall, and now that she could see his face, she felt something piercing her heart. His face had imprints of fresh tears, his nose had also reddened, his eyes were puffy and red. His gaze was tearing through her eyes, he was trying hard to behave like the angry young man, trying to show anger and hatred through his eyes. But unfortunately, his eyes were what showed her his vulnerability. She could easily see the pain in his heart through his eyes, and just as a spontaneous response to him, she reached her hand to touch his face. He immediately closed his eyes as she brought her hand in contact with him. She reached for the tears, which were still a threat, and could fall any moment, and wiped them. Then, she had this sudden urge, and didnt stop herself from carefully caressing him. She moved her hand over his face so carefully, as if she was afraid she would hurt him. Just as she was about to remove her hand, she saw another tear come out of his eye. She rose on her toes, and bringing her face closer to his, kissed that tear.

Armaan felt her kiss burn through his skin, but his heart didnt want to complaint, it was a new feeling for him. She was so close to him, and yet, he couldnt let his passion for her overtake him. After she had kissed him, he knew he couldnt control more, but his heart had no power left to fight her. He finally spoke out, too soft to be heard,

"Why are you doing this Riddhima?"

Armaan had spoken it too softly, but her heart had heard what he had wanted to speak. She wanted him to speak to her, so that it could all come out. She wanted his pain to flow down with his words.

"Armaan...", she tried speaking, but he cut her in between,

"You know this isnt right, you will regret doing it later. Why are you allowing me come so close to you, when you know i wont be able to control myself, i wont be able to resist my feelings for you, and later, i'll just hurt you, like i did previously", Armaan didnt know how he was gathering his voice to speak all this, but he had to stop her, she didnt know what was she getting into.

Riddhima knew Armaan was using all this, just to detach her from him, and it scared her to just think about how much it was paining him to speak all this.

"Armaan, i'll answer all your questions, just answer mine, only one question, why didnt you hit Abhi back there, when he was hitting you, without any fault of yours?"

Armaan was taken back with her question, she spoke in a soft yet stern tone, which still showed that he was not the only one in pain. He immediately turned his face away from her.

"Wo, uh, wo, that is not the question here Riddhima, its about you, you know that you will regret any step you take towards me, so please, go away, and leave me alone",

She was no less, she brought up her hands, and turned his face towards herself, and cupped his face with both her hands, and made him look into her eyes.

"Now speak what you want to speak", she spoke it ever so gently and lovingly, that Armaan brought his hands down from the wall, and placed it on her shoulder.

"You shouldnt be with me, because you really love Modi, like a friend i know, but you love him a lot. I know you want to be with me too, but he really dislikes me. And i dont want your life to be messed, in choosing between him and me. So, i want to let go of you. And moreover, after coming back, i thought about his words, and i think he is right, i can only hurt you Riddhima, so please, leave me and go back", he somehow managed the words which pierced him head to toe.

Riddhima still did not sspeak anything, instead, looked more intensly in his eyes for answers to her questions, and he decided to answer her.

"I... i didnt hit Modi, because you love him, and it would hurt you to see him hurt, and, and i did not want to hurt you", he finally let it all out.

As if it was a cue for her, Riddhima immediately hugged him tight, and finally, when he knew he couldnt fight her anymore, he let himself lose as he also bind his arms around her body. He caressed her, and suddenly, his arms touched something liquidy. As soon as he felt tht liquid thing, a voice escaped Riddhima's mouth.

"Aaaaaahhhh"

Armaan immediately pulled her out of the hug, just to inspect the place having that liquid. It was Riddhima's elbow bleeding due to the nail that had hurt her. He left her, and rushed to the nearby drawer, and brought the first aid kit. He made her sit on the bed, and he himself sat on the floor. He took out some cotton, cleaned the blood that was there, and tied a bandage. All this while, he did not lift his gaze from his work, lest he side tracked. But as soon as he finished, he took her hand in his, and looked at her questiongly, with love and affection in his eyes as well,

"Wo, while i was coming to your room, through the... pipe (Armaan's eyes widened in horror) nahi, i am fine sachi, bus, while coming up, a little nail hit me, par i am seriously fine Armaan, believe me", Riddhima spoke.

Armaan kissed the place where she was hurt, and she suddenly pulled back her hand. Armaan was surprised at her act, and looked at her, asking the reason. Riddhima also got up from the bed, and settled next to him on the floor. She took his hands in hers, and looked in his eyes,

"You think you are very smart, do you? You think you alone have the right to make decisions for me too. It's my life Armaan, and i make all the decisions. I love Abhi a lot, as you said, like a friend, but that doesnt stop me from making my decisions. You know me from so long, but you still dont know me, do you? How could you even think that i could let Abhi's dislike for you stop me from feeling what i feel for you. Abhi has a very important role in my life, and so do you, but each of your place is unique. Neither of you can ask me to choose between either of you, because, you both dont have any reason to compete. You both can be there in my life with lots of ease and smoothness. And as far as your thoughts about hurting me are there, then let me tell you Armaan, all these are totally baseless. You can never hurt me, even if you want to, i know that, and so do you. I know what happened in the past cannot be changed, but as for today, i can see something in your eyes which says you will always be there, only to protect me, and let anything happen, i will never be hurt, let alone being hurt by you"

Armaan did not once blink his eyes until Riddhima finished, he did not want to miss any of her words. It was as if her enchanting voice had captured him. To add cherry on the cake, her words were what his inner desire had been that she speaks. He had seen the sincerity with which she spoke, and couldnt help, but admire her beautiful face as she spoke. He noticed a few strands of her hair come on her face, but she had ignored them as she spoke to him. He immediately brought up his hand to put it aside, n in doing this, his hand brusshed pass her skin. She immediately gasped at his touch. He never realised that when had se stopped speaking. He had been waiting for this only. He brought his face closer to her, gently caressing his neck with his nose. He planted small kisses as he moved up towards her ear.

She felt his breath as he moved up, and suddenly, releasing a sigh, she heard him whisper.

"Happy Birthday Basket, i know i am the first one to wish you", and with this, he kissed her on the cheek.

He knew her face had turned crimson the moment those words escaped his lips. He was expecting her to say a soft thank you, but instead, she hid her face in his chest, and hugged him. He realised her shyness, and was about to hug her back, when he heard her speak,

"I love you Armaan"

She had spoken it so softly, that he couldnt believe if she did speak, or was that a fig of his imagination. He crushed her in the hug, a little too tightly, and brought his face a little down, so that he could hear her clearly.

"I didnt hear you Riddhima, please"

As if it had been speaking easy once, Armaan wanted her to speak those words again. But the she realised that it wasnt that he hadnt heard her, but more probably, it was difficult for him to believe it, so she tried again, in a more convincing manner.

"Armaan, i love you, i love you from when, even i dont know, but i love you, from the deepest core of my heart. I was pulled towards you, just looking at your pictures, from the time you didnt even stay with Rahul. Then, i fell for you badly, when you entered my life, in the school. You hurt me, but it was because i allowed you to, because i allowed you to enter my heart. After all that, i went away from here, hoping to forget you, to start afresh, but all in vain, My heart only had one person's imprints, and that was you. I was head over heels in love with you, though i tried coming out of it, n failed every time. I tried to hate you, and i was successful, i hated you a lot, but i forgot one thing. You can hate and love only those people who are closer to your heart. The heart marks a very thin line in between hatred and love. And my feelings for you, kept moving from hate to love due to this line. Then, you again come in my life, and this time, you have changed, you behave strangely, strange enough that i again fall in love with you, deeply. And here i am, confessing my love to you, because i dont think i can fight my love for you any longer"

Armaan came out of the hug and made her look at him. She looked in his eyes to see if he was convinced or no, and all she saw was immense love and trust. She shied away from his look, and hugged him back.

It was after a few minutes of her confession of her love for him. Riddhima sat on the floor, with her back resting against the bed, and Armaan lay peacefully in her lap. He enjoyed the feeling of her hand ruffling his hair gently and smoothly. He imagined all the beauties of life, waking up next to her everyday, of spending his whole life with her, always being there for each other. Just then, something clicked in his mind, and he got up abruptly.

"Basket, I love you too"

"Armaan, you need not say it, i already know that you love me, i trust you, and your heart, and your eyes, they have been shouting these three words all along, it was just i chose to ignore it and..."

"Marry me Riddhima", Armaan spoke these three words cutting her in between. He saw her face, as the words sank in, he only got a confused cum shocked expression from her.

"What?", she asked, these were the only words out of her mouth.

"Marry me Basket, marry me and be mine, forever, and ever, until eternity, will you marry me Riddhima?", he held her hand as he spoke all the words in one breath.

She seemed to be thinking about something, though for a few seconds, and then spoke,

"There's a problem Armaan, a small, yet very big problem"

yuhhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo m first to comment 🥳thanxssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss a ton for updating m confused wat to say the part was mindblowing i loved the way ridzs left everything n ran to armaan as she understood he must be in pain n loved the way she went on a bike wow she rides bike i love this feature of ridzs n then her adventure started 😆😆 she climbed the pipe got hurt too but then also reached to arman's room n then loved how nicely armaan was n told her sweetly he doesn't want her to choose between abhi n him so better leave it n then how cutely ridzs told armaan n abhi both r imp to her in their own way n i loved how ridzs described her feelings about him from childhood till now 😃 n then out of blue armaan told mary me 😆😆😆 it was one of the fab parts👏👏👏👏but y u gave twist in the end😉 i hate twists so u better continue soon 😃 n once again thanxssssssss for the part 😊
