Hi all!
This is Gautam Hegde here. I am/ was one of the writers on MJHT. These days, I have been getting mails to the common effect of

1. Asking for Nupur to come back
My reply: Its a call taken by the prod house and the channel. As a writer per se, one cannot question it.
2. But you created the character.
My reply: I alone didnt. The success or failure of anything in a daily soap is not a one person's contribution ever.
3. The new crop of characters are not up to the mark.
My reply: Give them a chance. Everyone was new once.
4. (demeaning words used for Creatives, channel, PH)
My reply: Please do not use this kind of language or discouraging words. If you want to, not my inbox. Please. I know how hard a unit of 80 people works on a show. Fair enough, you have a right to say anything, but don't choose to send it to me.
5. Am I back for good on the show?
My reply: As of now, just the first 8 odd episodes. Am busy with other commitments.
6. Fans going into depression, attempting suicides.
My reply: I can understand the attachemnt to characters, but remember Rati is not equal to Nupur, Arjun and Mayank are different. Life is too precious to be destroyed over a daily soap. No one would appreciate that kind of fanaticism, including Rati.
