Cramming up, Bollywood style

Esha Deol
Good at: History because it's the only subject my mom would teach me everyday in the morning. In fact, I always got the highest in class.
Worst subject: Mathematics.
Study type: I used to study only before the exams. And throughout the year I would be busy in the field playing football and other sports.
Tip me: Don't even dare to copy.
Passed out from: Jamnabai Narsee.
And the results are: I was an average student. I got a 65 per cent in my boards.

Dia Mirza
Good at: English Literature and history as I have always been fond of words .
Worst subject: Mathematics.
Study type: I would study the subjects I loved throughout the year, and the weak ones only before the exam. But it's a wrong way to approach things.
Tip me: Never make exam a big thing so that it becomes a baggage. Be calm. It's not the be-all or end of all things.
Passed out: Vidya Pranaya High School, Hyderabad.
And the results are: I got a first class. My percentage dipped because of poor marks in math.

Rahul Bose
Good at: English and accounts.
Worst subject: Chemistry and Income Tax.
Study type: I hated studying and I would not study till the last minute.
Tip me: Don't put any pressure on yourself. Just do your best.
Passed out: Cathedral School.
And the results are: A surprisingly 70 per cent.

Hrishitaa Bhatt

Good at: Chem, bio, literature and math.
Worst subject: History.
Study type: I was a rank holder but also managed lots of extra-curricular activities.
Tip me: Don't get too stressed. Academics is not everything. Even a hobby could now become the profession.
Passed out from: Mithibhai College.
And the results are: First class.

Sajid Khan
Good at: English Literature as that was the only subject where you don't need to mug up.
Worst subject: French.
Study type: I really didn't study. I was not at all academically inclined. I was more of a show-off and arrogant kid who would get away with anything.
Tip me: I'd say— copy but don't get caught, because if I tell you don't copy, you won't listen. If you're carrying a chit and the examiner
catches you, swallow it. It may not taste good but nobody will want to remove the evidence from the toilet later.
Passed out: Maneckji Cooper.
And the results are: I failed in my tenth standard and then appeared in private exams.

R Madhavan
Good at: English, physics and computer science.
Worst subject: Math and Sanskrit.
Study type: I would never take any exam tension. During my 12th I also went off to Canada on a cultural exchange programme and only returned a month before exams.
Tip me: Don't be like me unless you want the sort of marks I got.
Passed out: From DDMS, Jamshedpur.
And the results are: I got a 60 per cent and am proud of it.

Koena Mitra
Good at: I've always been fond of psychology. I even pursued it during my graduation days.
Worst subject: I was terrible at mathematics.
Study type: I always studied for a month before the exams. And throughout the year I would hardly sit with the books.
Tip me: I don't need to advice the present day students as they are quite focused.
Passed out: South Point, Kolkata.
And the results are: I had always been an average student.

Sammir Dattani
Good at: Accounts was a fav.
Worst subject: Chemistry, physics and... ho, hum... history.
Study type: I was always busy pursuing extra-curricular activities that I had no choice but to study just before my exams.
Tip me: No last minute studying. In fact, don't study on the exam day.
Passed out from: I completed my 12th at HR College.
And the results are: I got a distinction in school but for 12th I just about managed a first class.

Aarti Chhabria
Good at: Mathematics and Biology.
Worst subject: My worst has to be history. But my history teacher was my favourite.
Study type: My studies were limited to homework. But during exams, I would study all through the night.
Tip me: Never leave any doubts unanswered before you go to bed.
Passed out from: HR College.
And the results are: Fairly good. I've been a working girl right from school, as I used to shoot for ads during the weekends. With all that, a 72 per cent was darn good.

Jimmy Shergill
Good at: English and Hindi, and I secured highest marks in both.
Worst subject: Mathematics.
Study type: I've been involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities (mountaineering, debates, elocution). So I studied only two days before the exam.
Tip me: I am the last person anyone should come for any advice about studying.
Passed out: I completed my 12th from Punjab Public School back in Punjab.
And the results are: I managed a 70 %.
