Kripa shuts the door on their faces, the boys look at each other wondering what to do now

The boys are still standing outside the room when they see Angad, Sujal and Prithvi behind them, they turn around

A - got caught?

KK - yep

S - but you enjoyed it right?

P - so what now?

Kar - not sure, mum said to stay out

A - don't worry, I think the mehndi ceremony is finishing, so why not sit with us and wait for the sangeet to start?

KK - sure

The boys follow Angad, Sujal and Prithvi in to the other room, KK sits beside Angad

KK - dad, I was wondering, well Roshni was saying...

A - what?

KK - she was saying how upset Prithvi chachu and Suhana aunty will be feeling after Ria and Tia get married, they'll be left alone

A - you're right...they will

KK - so I was thinking that maybe you could talk to them and ask them if they want to move back in with us, you know just like when we were younger?

A - KK that's a great idea, I'll talk to Prithvi about it later ok

KK - ok dad

All 6 are sitting talking together when Kripa comes, she glares at KK, Karan and Aryan but Angad saves them

A - come on Kripa, don't look at them like that, they're kids, they wanted to see the girls, what did you expect?

K - don't encourage them!

A - I'm going to, maybe because I never got to see you when you had your mehndi done

Kripa looks at Angad, he smiles and Kripa sighs and smiles

K - fine, you're forgiven

KK - thanks mum

K - ok so come, its time for the sangeet ceremony

The guys get up and follow Kripa in to the other room, the boys sit opposite the girls while the parents sit in-between them, all are sitting quietly listening to the other aunties sing folk songs, KK looks bored, he walks over to Kashish

KK - aunty, can I ask you something?

Ka - sure

KK - well as much as I love the aunties singing...

KK and Kashish glance towards them

KK - but I would much prefer to hear a certain somebody's beautiful voice

Kashish gives a playful grin to KK

Ka - KK how would Roshni feel if she heard you were hitting on your mother-in-law to be?

KK looks at Kashish with his mouth open, he begins shaking his head

KK - no no no...I didn't mean you...

Ka - so I don't have a beautiful voice?

KK - you do...but I mean...oh dammit

Kashish laughs slightly and pulls KK's cheek

Ka - relax son-in-law to be, I was just having some fun, I know you're talking about Roshni

KK - yeah, but if I ask her then she'll say no but if you ask her...

KK sits back down, Kashish walks over to the women and asks them to finish the folk music quickly, when they stop singing the others wonder why, they look towards the women and see Kashish, she smiles and walks to the others

Su - Kashish, why did the women stop singing?

Ka - because I think its time we heard somebody else sing

S - like who?

Kashish walks over to the girls, she puts her arm around Roshni and helps her get up

R - mama?

Ka - Roshni, why don't you sing a song?

R - me? No how can I?, my mehndi is still drying

Ka - I'm not telling you to do anything with your hands, I'm telling you to sing

R - but mama...

KK gets annoyed, he stands up to leave the room

KK - leave it Kashish aunty, she won't agree

Roshni looks at KK and realises he wants her to sing, she looks around at everyone looking at her and feels slightly scared, but she watches as KK walks towards the door, as he's about to step outside he hears Roshni sing, he stops walking and listens as she sings Dil Laga Liya from Dil Hai Tumhara

Roshni blushes and tries to hide herself behind Ria and Tia, Sujal walks up to her and gently touches her hair, she smiles and hugs him, she sits back with the girls who are now checking out their mehndi, Ria gets up and goes to Suhana

Ri - mum, can you check if my mehndi has dried

Suhana touches Ria's hands briefly and nods her head

Ri - so I can go wash it off?

Su - if you leave it on longer it will be darker, they say if a girl's mehndi turns dark then her husband loves her a lot

Ria glances at Aryan

Ri - trust me mum, I don't need my mehndi to be dark to tell me that, I already know

Su - fine go ahead

Ria walks over to Roshni and Tia

Ri - I'm going to wash my mehndi off, you girls coming too?

T - sure

Tia and Roshni get up and follow Roshni out of the room, Aryan watches them and after a few minutes he makes an excuse and gets up and walks to the door but stands by it rather than going outside, the girls wash their mehndi off and admire it while standing in the kitchen

Ri - you know mum said if a girl's mehndi is dark then her husband loves her a lot

T - I wonder whose mehndi turned out darker

The three girls put their hands out inspecting the colour of the mehndi

T - they all have the same amount of darkness

R - which means Karan loves you a lot, Bhai loves Ria a lot and...

Ria puts her arm around Roshni's shoulder

Ri - and KK loves you a lot

Roshni blushes and leaves the kitchen with Tia and Ria on her heels, Tia catches up with Roshni and both enter the room at the same time, Aryan waits for Ria to come and before she can react he grabs her hand and pulls her towards him locking his arms around her waist

Ri - what are you doing? Someone might see

Ar - so? I want to see your mehndi

Aryan brings his hands from around her waist and grabs her hands in his looking at her mehndi, after a few minutes Ria gets irritated

Ri - what are you staring at?

Ar - I'm trying....

Aryan traces his finger over her left hand then he right hand

Ar - ...to find my name in your mehndi

Ria grins and pulls her hands away

Ri - and what makes you think your name is there?

Aryan grabs her hands again

Ar - because I'm your husband to be, if my names not there then whose name would be there?

Ri - sure...

Aryan grins and continues staring at her hands, Ria notices 6 pairs of eyes staring at them both, she gets shocked seeing Prithvi and Suhana looking shocked, Sujal and Kashish looking shocked and angry, Kripa looking shocked and embarrassed and Angad looking with his eyebrow raised and a smile on his face, she frantically starts pulling her hands away but Aryan keeps hold of them

Ar - stop pulling them away

Ri - I have to...because everyone's staring!

Aryan glances behind himself and sees the parents, at first he's about to let go but doesn't, he turns and smiles at Ria

Ar - let them look, we're getting married

Ri - Aryan, stop being an idiot and let my hands go

Ar - no

Ria pulls her hands away and walks off, she stands beside her mum with her arm resting on her mum's shoulder and begins to sing Kachchi Kaliyaan from Laga Chunari Mein Daag

Ri - ok, calm down, so I was singing, big deal

T - Aryan jiju is so sweet!

Ri - he is isn't he?

Tia glances at Karan, she walks over to him and nudges him

Kar - what?

T - why can't you be more like KK and Aryan jiju?

Kar - what do you mean?

T - they both sing for their fiances but you're just standing here

Kar - but...

T - forget it!

Tia storms off, Karan just looks confused, Angad grins, he puts his arm around Karan's shoulder

A - go on, show her what the youngest Khanna is made of!

Karan grins and hugs Angad, he walks over to Tia who is standing by Ria and Roshni, he stands next to her and begins to sing Soniye Ve from Kismet Konnection

Karan hugs Tia while KK hugs Roshni and Aryan hugs Ria. The parents smile watching their kids. All are having fun when the doorbell rings, Prithvi wonders who it is and leaves the room to answer the door, the others sit back down, Angad sits with KK and Karan and starts complimenting their singing.

A - you know, I could talk to my old record label, get you boys signed up

KK - dad, that was just us having fun, we're not all awesome singers like you, and plus.....

KK's voice trails off, Angad looks confused, he turns and gets shocked seeing Suyesh, he stands up staring at his father, Karan looks at KK and both of them stand up, Karan smiles

Kar - I knew you wouldn't let us down

Karan hugs Suyesh and Suyesh looks at Angad not knowing what to say. KK grabs Karan's arm and drags him away leaving Suyesh and Angad alone, after a few moments of silence Angad finally speaks

A - hi

Suy - hi Angad, I'm sorry it's been so long

A - yeah it has but why? do you not care about us?

Suy - of course I do

A - then why has it been so many years since we have seen each other?

Suy - I'm here now that's all that matters

A - is it? so I'm supposed to put everything behind me, forget that you left me when I needed you the most?

Suy - I know it's hard but for the sake of the kids please let it go

Kripa walks over to them, she touches Angad's shoulder lightly

K - Angad papa's right, let's forget everything, the important thing is that he's here now

A - you're on his side?

K - I'm not on anybody's side Angad, I just want what's best for you and the kids

A - and how is him coming back best for the kids?

K - he's their grandfather

A - what kind of grandfather is never there for his grandsons?

Prithvi and Sujal who had been standing on the other side of the room finally go to see why Angad is raising his voice

P - Angad is everything ok?

A - he thinks that he can come back after all these years and expect me to welcome him with open arms

Sujal looks around at the guests

S - we understand but now is not the time or place Angad, we have guests

Angad nods his head

A - fine you can stay but don't expect me to say one word to you understand?

Suy - ok, I guess I deserve that

Angad walks off and Prithvi turns to Suyesh

P - Angad's anger is justifiable, but we're glad you're here, why don't you come and give the kid's your blessings

Suyesh follows Prithvi and Sujal to where the kids are. Karan sees them and takes Tia to him, he bends down to take his blessings, he looks at Tia

Kar - Tia take his blessings

Tia hesitates but she does so. Aryan and Ria come forward and both take their blessings together. KK stays sitting where he is, Roshni looks at him

R - KK aren't you going to take your dadaji's blessings?

KK - I don't need them, I have the blessings of all those that matter to me

KK deliberately looks up at Suyesh knowing he heard him

R - KK he's still your dadaji, you might not want his blessings but you need them

KK looks at Roshni, she takes his hand and makes him stand up and walks over to Suyesh while holding KK's hand, she bends down making KK bend down with her, she puts her hand on top of KK's and takes Suyesh's blessings, KK stands straight and quickly walks off, Suyesh smiles at Roshni

Suy - it's ok, he has years of hatred for me, it is not going to go away in one moment

Roshni smiles and follows after KK, the others wait a while before going after Roshni, all are sitting together when Suhana comes up to them.

Su - the ceremonies are over you know

KK - we know

Su - and you boys are going back to the Khanna Mansion soon

Kar - we know

Su - good, and you know that from now you're not supposed to see the girls until the wedding day

The guys look at each other

Ar - we know....

Su - well then girls, why don't you join me in the other room

The girls look at the guys but follow Suhana, the boys sit looking upset, Kripa comes to them

K - so shall we leave?

KK - sure

K - what happened to you?

Kar - Suhana aunty reminded us that we can't see the girls

K - aww poor you, but come on, up you get

The boys get up and follow Kripa, they wish everyone a goodnight and head for the door, Kripa suddenly stops

KK - mum what's wrong?

K - we can't leave papa here, we should tell him to come and stay with us until after the wedding

A - what?

KK - mum how can we...

K - he's still a member of the family, he has every right Angad

A - do as you want

Kripa walks over to Suyesh

K - papa we're going home, I think you should come with us and stay with us until after the wedding

Suy - but...

K - that way you and Angad will be able to spend some time together

Suy - if you insist

Suyesh follows Kripa to the others, she tells them Suyesh agreed

K - he can sleep in KK's room since Aryan is already in the spare room

KK - fine, I'll bunk with Karan

Kar - sure, it'll be good having you there dadaji

Karan hugs Suyesh before following the others outside, Angad, Kripa, KK and Aryan get into Angad's car, Suyesh gets into his car alone, Karan is about to go into Angad's car but stops and gets into Suyesh's car, Suyesh smiles at him and they head back to the Khanna Mansion.
