New Delhi, Apr 1 (PTI) Rahul Mahajan, a reality TV star who faces trial in a case of alleged drug abuse and married in a television show recently, today surrendered his passport in a Delhi court on his return from honeymoon in the Maldives.
Mahajan filed an application through his lawyer before Additional Sessions Judge J P S Malik for surrendering his passport.
Earlier, the court had allowed 35-year-old Mahajan to travel abroad with his newly-wed wife Dimpy Ganguly, 21, with whom his marriage was solemnised live during a TV reality show 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega' on March 7.
The court had imposed various conditions on him, including furnishing of a fixed deposit of Rs five lakh and a personal bond of same amount, for the release of his passport, a condition imposed earlier also when he was granted bail during the trial.
