There are other ways....and the last thing was when he said if you don't say now I will never ask you again.......he put her in dilemma...he didn't give her time....time to reconcile....he had all the time in the world to realize but she was given few mins to realize.....she has feeling and realized them too...but still needs time to go through and come to a decision.........

nupur knew mayank was a very nice guy....he didn't had to prove it to her....what he needed to prove was that he could be the one for her.....he could be in love, he could be romantic.
He went all out because he saw smt different in her during that terrace night but he knew if he didn't use the opportunity she might just brush off the feeling.....which she did several times before she confessed...

he had no choice....if he wudn't have done it they had decided to part ways after the play.....it was either make it happen or loose it forever.....
he knew she loved him.....the problem was it was hard for her to accept it.....he had to go that far or else she wud have kept going back and forth with her feelings.....sometimes u need a wakeup call to see the truth....and accept it.

agree she knew and said so her self several times....and she trusted him....he confused her...she wasn't sure whether it was him or character he played.....he didn't need a pretense with her....that was not romantic at all....the only time she actually felt was the hug when got locked in room..because that was Mayank not Varun.....

Funny she always thought she is not for him....what did he need to prove her....he could be romantic......is itn't too early for that they were fighting till couple of days ago...from her POV........it was too fast....

remember after fanaa hug he went after her to the changing room but didn't go in.....he said at that time.....maybe she needs to understand her feelings....i need to leave her alone.....even after knowing abt her feelings all along he still waited.....aise to usne haan kar hi diya tha play rehersal mein.....chahe kisi bhi tarah kiya ho.....but he never took it as yes....he still waited.....

he needed a cover ....which was varun.....as he cudn't do all tht as mayank.....he had his own insecurities.....he always knew nupur never sees him as her raj.....remember the AC meet and the whole fortune teller thing.....seeing the guy with closed eyes.....he was so upset that she saw everyone except him.....
more than her he was insecured as mayank so he used varun to get thru her.....

how could he forget he fought with the same back and forth too.....they part ways before also....he would have find a way to reach her...he always could...if he knew she loved him then he should have trusted her feelings .......it was an ultimatum .......he should have encouraged her feelings more . And there is noway she would have parted with him....

she was contemplating her feelings and she would have realized pretty soon...fanaa hug was an eye opener for her....she said so her self....for any girl it can be confusing....Nupur never saw herself with Mayank......so no matter what she said or did...she wasn't sure ....she needed little bit more time....

i think if he would have just been mayank around her she would have never accepted her feelings.....for her mayank could never be her dream guy.....
he took so much time because it was one sided all along....nupur had no feelings for him at the time he was fighting his emotions....nupur was normal around him, was not giving him any signs what so ever....his fight was with himself that's why it took so much time for him to accept his feelings.....if nupur showed some interest in him at the very beginning itself he wud have given in to his feeling much earlier.......whereas when nupur first realised that she is falling for him he was already in love with her.....he was sure of his feelings and had accepted it.....so he made sure he leaves no doubt in her mind about him not being her type.....he helped her see what she wud have ignored and had been ignoring for a while......confusing her b/w mayank and varun was a way to show her that he might be mayank the sadu guy but he can be her ultimate romantic hero too.
he had 2 choices either he cud just be nice to her, be caring and evt and wait around for her to realise her feelings.....whenever that happpens or he takes charge of the situation helps her see beyond sadu mayank and accept her feelings.....he chose the second option....which to me made sense as he always was there for her, he was always protective of her, he was jealous and possessive too ( chiruji case).....but did she notice anything??.....she called it frd'ship. he had to do more than that.....and he did.
last mein i agree it was stretched a bit but that was to accommodate sg storyline.....
