Previously
KK and Tia stop dancing, they both hug each other and look at Karan and Roshni, whose mouths are hanging wide open in astonishment, then walk away.
Part 34
KK storms in to his room in anger, he slams his door shut, he sits on his bed and closes his eyes, a tear falls down his eye but he wipes it away, he hears the door open but doesn't look up
KK - leave me alone
The person shuts the door and walks over to KK, they kneel on the floor in front of him, they reach out and hold KK's hands, KK opens his eyes slowly to see Roshni sitting in front of him crying, she leans forward and rests her head on his lap, he runs his hand over her hair, leans down and kisses her hair softly
R - will you ever be able to forgive me?
KK - there shouldn't be anything to forgive
KK makes her look at him
KK - you can still back out, there's still time
R - the wedding is in the morning
KK - we can run
KK holds Roshni's face in his hands
KK - we can get on my bike and drive away, get married then come back
R - its not that easy
KK - it is! you're just making it hard
Roshni reaches out and touches KK's cheek, she leans forward and kisses him softly
R - I love you Kunal, that is never going to change
KK looks elsewhere, she makes him face her
R - you hear me? I will always love you, even when I'm old and grey, you'll still be in my heart, but I have to marry Karan, for my parents, for your parents
Tears fall down KK's eyes
KK - don't do this to me, please
R - I have no choice, I just don't want you to hate me
KK - I can never hate you
KK holds her face and kisses her, she backs away slowly
KK - promise me something
R - what?
KK - you'll always be happy
Roshni nods her head with tears falling from her eyes, KK reaches out and wipes her face, she wipes his tears away
R - I have to go
KK - no, stay, a little longer
Roshni hugs him, KK makes her sit on the bed next to him and holds her in his arms, they hear a faint knock on the door, it opens and Aryan stands there
Ar - we have to go
KK slowly lets go of her, she smiles at him weakly, he reaches out and kisses her forehead then watches her leave, Aryan walks over to him, he puts his arm around him
Ar - I wish there was something I could do
KK - forget it, listen about the other day, what I said to you...
Ar - already forgotten
Aryan hugs KK then goes, KK gets up from the bed, he walks over to the window and stares outside, he sees Sujal, Kashish and Aryan get in the car, Roshni is walking slowly, she glances up, KK waves to her and she waves back, he watches as the car disappears, he stays there for a while and doesn't notice when the door opens, he keeps thinking about Roshni when he feels someone hold his hand, he turns and looks and sees Karan kneeling on the floor holding KK's hand to his forehead
Kar - I know I have said this before, but I'm sorry bro, I hate what this has done to us
KK sighs, he holds Karan by his shoulders and makes him stand up
Kar - I wish I could make things better, I hate you not talking to me
KK - you think I like us being at war?
Kar - no, its just when you were with Tia...
KK - so you see how I feel? you think I like seeing you with Roshni? I hate it, the thought eats at me
Kar - I'm sorry...
KK looks at him, he holds Karan by his collar
KK - I swear to you Karan, if you ever, ever hurt her, I will murder you
He lets him go, Karan nods his head, KK turns and looks out of the window
KK - I prayed so much you would back out, but you didn't, what am I supposed to do now? I guess I have no choice but to stand back
KK turns to look at him
KK - Roshni means the world to me, even more, if I ever see a tear in her eyes...
Kar - I'll never let it happen
Karan begins to cry, KK can't help it and hugs him, tears start falling from his eyes aswell
Kar - I'm sorry KK, I'm sorry
KK - saying it again and again won't make it better
KK pulls away, he wipes the tears from Karan's face
KK - you should get some rest, it's your wedding day tomorrow
Kar - can I...
KK - what?
Kar - sleep here? I hate being in the room alone
KK chuckles, Karan smiles, KK nods his head, Karan leaves the room, he comes back shortly wearing his night clothes, KK has also gotten changed, Karan sits on the bed
Kar - where you going to sleep?
KK - the armchair
Karan lies in KK's bed, KK sits in the armchair and watches as Karan falls asleep, he closes his eyes and sleeps. In the morning Karan wakes up, he looks around and remembers he is in KK's room, the bathroom door opens and KK is standing there wearing his shervani
KK - up and at 'em, you still need to get changed
Karan gets out of bed, KK hands him his shervani, Karan goes in to the bathroom and gets changed, he comes out
KK - nice
Kar - where is the turban?
KK - here
KK hands him the turban, Karan looks at it
Kar - how am I supposed to tie this?
Karan looks at KK
Kar - who tied yours?
KK - mom
Karan takes the turban to Kripa's room, he knocks on the door then goes inside and sees Angad and Kripa already changed
Kar - mom, I can't tie my turban
K - aww come here
Kripa helps him tie the turban, she stands back and looks at him
K - how did you get so big?
Kar - all on my own
Kripa kisses his cheek then hands him the sehra, he puts it on then heads downstairs, the others follow him
KK - everything ready?
A - yeah, we just need to get to Sujal's place now
They leave, at the Garewal Mansion everything is decorated in red and gold, Ria is running around making sure everything is ready, Tia is sitting quietly in the living room trying not to look upset, Aryan is in Roshni's room, he has got changed and is watching as Kashish gets Roshni changed
Ar - mom seriously, how can she be getting married? she's just a kid
Ka - not anymore, she's older now
Aryan walks over to them, he looks at Roshni in the mirror
Ar - I don't care, she's still my sweet little sister
Aryan kisses her forehead, she looks at him and hugs him, Kashish hugs them both then leaves
Ar - you ok?
R - I'll be fine
The door opens and Ria is standing there
Ri - they're here
Ar - stay with her, I'll go downstairs
Ria stays with Roshni while Aryan goes downstairs, Kashish and Sujal welcome the Khanna family, Karan is seated in his chair while KK stands next to him, he nudges Aryan
KK - where is Roshni?
Ar - her room
KK - I'll be back
KK goes upstairs, he opens the door and sees Ria with Roshni, Ria looks at him and leaves them alone, KK looks at Roshni, his heart skips a beat
KK - beautiful
R - you look very handsome too
KK - sure...
Roshni gets up, she walks over to him and touches his cheek
R - are you ok?
KK - yeah
KK stands back and looks at her
KK - I never knew someone could look so.....perfect
KK holds his arms out, Roshni goes to him, he hugs her then kisses her forehead and steps back
KK - I should go....
Roshni nods her head, KK leaves, he bumps in to Aryan who looks at him, KK just smiles and goes to Karan, he leans towards him
KK - you.....are the luckiest man on this planet
Karan smiles, KK pats his shoulder
K - shouldn't we bring Roshni down now?
Ka - I'll go get her
Kashish goes upstairs to get Roshni, KK feels like he has a heavy stone on his heart, he looks up as Ria and Kashish are walking down the stairs with Roshni, he breathes deeply and begins to sing Mubarak Mubarak from Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya Hai

Roshni is sat by Karan, he walks over to them, he looks at them both and smiles even though they both know the pain he is hiding behind the smile

KK turns his face away from everybody, he feels a tear falling and wipes it away, Aryan walks over to him and puts his hand on his shoulder, KK squeezes his hand and turns to look at everyone, he goes to Roshni, he holds out his hand, Roshni takes it, he makes her stand up and points to the decorated house

KK touches her face lightly

He sits Roshni back down and backs away from her slowly, he sees Tia sitting alone, he walks over to her and brings her to where everyone else is, he makes her look at the families and how happy they are, she feels sad, KK hugs her, he walks back over to Roshni and Karan and kneels in front of them

KK gets up and backs away from them with his eyes closed, he bumps in to Aryan who looks sad, KK pats his shoulder and smiles

KK watches as Roshni and Karan are sat in the mandap, he backs away slowly towards the stairs shaking his head

KK turns and heads up the stairs, downstairs Karan and Roshni are told to exchange the garland of flowers, they do so, they are about to take the sacred rounds when KK runs down the stairs, he pushes his way through the crowd, he pushes past Angad, Kripa, Sujal and Kashish who look confused, Aryan and Ria get scared, KK stands in the mandap looking at Roshni and Karan
KK - I tried bro...I really did....but I can't....let you
KK steps closer to Karan, everyone thinks he is hugging him, KK steps back slowly, Tia screams as she sees a knife in Karan with blood dripping, Karan looks at KK with droopy eyes before falling on to the floor, Kripa screams and runs towards him, she kneels down taking him in her arms
K - Karan!!! say something!! KARAN!!!
Angad runs over and grabs KK and makes him face him
A - what have you done!!!! KK speak!!!
KK mindlessly looks at him
KK - he was going to marry Roshni.....but I love her dad....I had to
KK looks from Angad to Karan then collapses in Angad's arms, he slumps to the ground, Roshni is crying, Aryan is holding her and Ria while Tia is crying sitting on the floor next to Karan, Prithvi finally speaks up
P - I've called an ambulance
Prithvi looks at Angad who looks back at him and Sujal
A - I don't understand....
S - KK loves Roshni?
Ar - yeah
They look at Aryan
Ar - KK loves Roshni, and Roshni loves him
They look at Roshni, she finally moves and goes towards Angad, she kneels down and takes KK's head and places it on her lap, she touches his face softly and starts to cry
A - but I thought...
Ar - you were wrong....way wrong..Karan loves Tia and she loves him
A - what have I done....
The ambulance arrives, KK finally regains conciousness, Karan is taken to hospital, everyone is in the waiting room, KK is sitting silently with his head resting on Roshni's shoulder, Kripa is still crying, Angad is trying to console her, Suhana and Prithvi are sitting with Tia trying to get her to stop crying, Ria is sitting with them, Sujal and Kashish are sitting together while Aryan is standing alone
Ar - its my fault, I should have said something earlier
S - this is no one's fault
A - it's my fault, I jumped to conclusions, I didn't give him a chance to say what he wanted, he came to me so many times to tell me something.....if I had known....
P - Angad don't worry he'll be ok
T - dad...
Prithvi looks at Tia
T - he'll be ok yeah? nothing will happen to him? if anything does....dad....
Tia cries, Prithvi hugs her, Sujal looks at Roshni who is holding KK's hand
S - you should have told us Roshni
Roshni doesn't look up but speaks
R - you never let me....you went on an on about how happy you were, how you were proud....what was I supposed to do?
Sujal sighs
Ar - there is no use in saying "what if" the only thing that matters is Karan
Aryan walks over and kneels down in front of Kripa
Ar - he'll be ok aunty, I promise
Kripa looks at him and hugs him, the door opens, everyone except KK and Roshni stand up, Angad rushes over to the doctor
A - is my son ok?
D - we have stopped the bleeding but...
K - but what?
Coming up - will Karan make it?
