Recreating Guru Dutt’s magic!

Guru Dutt, one of the ace filmmakers, who produced some of the most lyrical and beautiful films of his era. His best works includes PYAASA, KAGAZ KE PHOOL, CHAUDHVIN KA CHAND and many more. Despite of being a commercial director, his work reflected the same intelligentsia of parallel filmmakers like Satyaji Ray.

In the latest Bollywood trend of remaking old classics, Venus Entertainment and Gandhi Media joined hands to remake Guru Dutt's unforgettable classic CHAUDHAVIN KA CHAND (1960s). Paying tribute to his father, Arun Dutt will head the advisory panel for this project. Producer Rajeev Murthy and Raaj Anand have also zeroed on Anusha Samir Gill don the mantle.

Few months back, there was a buzz in the ville that the eminent director Rituparno Ghosh's forthcoming project will be a remake of 1960s classic SAHIB BIBI AUR GHULAM based on Bimal Mitra's classic. It's a literary piece of art beautifully sketched by Guru Dutt. Ghosh, who is referred as an exponent as the master of Parallel Cinema Satyajit Ray assures that his remake will do justice to Guru Dutt's classics.
