Actress Shweta Kwatra has decided to opt out of the TV serial Kkusum. Kwatra plays the role of Isha, who pursues a married man, in this daily produced by Balaji and aired on Sony.
Two weeks ago Kwatra had a showdown on the sets after she was asked to complete the shoot and then rush home after hearing about the demise of a close relative.
Says Kwatra, "How does all this news filter through? Yes, there was a bereavement in the family and I had to complete the shoot before I could leave. But this is not the only reason I decided to move out from Kkusum. As I am in two daily soaps there is too much stress. I am shooting throughout the month. I have already conveyed my decision to the producers, even though they have asked me to reconsider it."
Kwatra also features as one of the bahus in Balaji's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii on Star besides anchoring the film-based show Current Bollywood on Max.
Incidentally, along with other TV artistes Kwatra will be on a tour of the US in October for Navarati shows. "As I will be away for a month I have told them to complete my scenes to avoid a sudden exit from Kkusum."
She will, however, continue to feature in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.
"There are no other assignments at the moment," adds the model-turned-actress.
