Director livid over Koena’s claims

Director E. Niwas is angry with Koena Mitra as the actress has been claiming that she has signed his forthcoming venture. When contacted, the director said, "It's too early to talk about the film right now. It is still in the initial stages and we have not finalised the cast as yet. I just happened to mention that I will be starting my new film and Koena is claiming that she has signed the film whereas I have yet to decide on the details of the film. I will talk about it only when I have finalised the entire cast and crew."

Koena Mitra, however, has her own version of the story. She says that the director had approached her with the role and discussed the script with her. "We sat down and discussed the script and my role in the film as we usually do. I know that the film is in the initial stages and even the producer has not been finalised as yet. The rest of the cast has also to be confirmed," says Koena.

Koena is trying to create a platform for herself in the industry and says, "I hope this is not going to be another controversy. I mentioned the film because we had discussed the script openly and he said that I would be working with him in his next venture. I have a very good relationship with the director and I don't want any new controversies to affect it."
