Robert Pattinson really enjoyed playing Art in 'How To Be'.
He told IFC that he can really relate to the film's story.
"Just kind of feeling you know that you don't know where you are going in the world.""At the time (we were filming) I really felt that I didn't know whether I wanted to be an actor. I didn't know what I was doing, I hadn't gone to university… you know I was kind of bumming around and not feeling very good at anything but at the same time desperately wanting to be, but thinking that you'll never reach your own… the goals you set yourself."
"He's kind of… I guess you'd call him kind of a mediocrity… I mean he doesn't really fit into any kind of people grouping. He's not particularly depressed but he thinks he is. He doesn't have any kind of consistency in his emotions which I think most people are like."
"Normally in films somebody's a sad person, they're a sad person but he's not particularly sad all the time he's just basically chasing his tail. He's just a guy who is really stuck in a rut and he needs to figure a way out of it."
Although Rob can relate to the story, he doesn't think he is a lot like Art at all.
"No not really. I've never really felt stuck in anything. Art really feels like he's been trapped by his own life and he's kind of resentful about it as well.
"It would be really difficult to be friends with someone like Art. It seems like he's very real but really he's a very demanding friend, he's very emotionally draining."
