Shilpa Shetty dates investment banker

Shilpa Shetty is upset! Why? Because the media has painted the town red about her having an affair with a Mumbai-based investment banker. This banker is Abhay. Much to her chagrin, rumours of her dating director Anubhav Sinha were also doing the round.

"This is weird. On what basis am I being linked with Anubhav Sinha? Have we been seen going out together? Has anybody seen us appearing at parties together? I am shocked! What will the press come up with next? I have done only one film with Anubhav—Dus. When Anubhav is going to hear this he is going to burst out laughing," she flares up. Tell her that he was keen to cast her in his next venture Kash and Shilpa retorts, "I have not been offered Kash. In fact, the producer told me that there was no role for me in the film. So is it possible that Anubhav would have cast me in the film?"

Shilpa, however, admits that she is dating investment banker Abhay. "Yes I am dating him. I have been out with him twice. That's it! But what I am upset about is that the media has already declared that he is the man in my life. That is not true and it is too early to talk about my relationship with him. If I am seeing him it does not mean that I am going to marry him. In fact, when Abhay read that piece he felt bad. He felt that I was trying to gain publicity by talking about my relationship with him," she adds.

Shilpa continued, "Before I get married I must at least know the guy. It is important for me to know the kind of person he is. At the same time I am not averse to an arranged marriage. The day I find Mr Right I will be the first one to announce it to the media. Till then I just want them to stop speculating."
