Remember Benaf Dadachanji? She played Sasha, the sweet, chubby girl from Santosh Sivan's film Halo. And already she's a bright teenager studying at HR College.
Dadachanji recently performed at the fifth anniversary of Quasar Thakore Padamsee's Q Theatre Productions.
"My uncle Neville Dadachanji spoke to Quasar about me. Quasar called me for a play reading and I was selected to act in his play Kindertransport." The play opened the festival at Experimental Theatre last Wednesday and will close today at Prithvi Theatre.
Apart from Kindertransport, Benaf will also be seen in Dinyar Contractor's new play Carry on Flying which is inspired from the English film Boeing Boeing.
Dadachanji confesses to having watched more Gujarati plays "because they are more fun" than English because "some of them are really heavy stuff and you can't really understand them."
