Mink: I’m not a huge star

Mink who made her debut in Pyaar Ka Tarana and had a string of cameos and insignificant Bollywood films (Oops, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Ajnabee and Kathputli) is now shaking a leg in a dance reality show on television. In town to promote the same show, she admits that she wanted to be a €œmagistrate€ but €œacting just happened to me.€ Quiz her if she€™s happy doing small roles in films and she says that she has never bothered €œabout the norms of the industry€ and doesn€™t €œmind doing cameos for friends.€ She goes on to add that she €œnever€ took €œacting seriously.€

Mink and her brother Punnu have a film production house. Even after the debacle of Kathputli, she wants to experiment with all genres of filmmaking. €œSo far, we have produced a psychological thriller and a music album. In future, we might produce a reality TV show or a Punjabi film as well.€

Mink also seems comfortable with the idea of €œsporting a bikini on screen.€ She feels it is not such a €œbig deal€ anymore because €œeveryone does it now. Our audience has opened up and is ready to accept their heroines wearing one.€

She even dreams of directing a film in future preferably starring one of the €œthree Khans of Bollywood€ who €œwould fall madly in love€ with her in the film.

What€™s Mink like off-screen. €œI€™m a realist who€™s totally grounded. I never follow norms, not even fashion trends. I follow my own style . People say that I look glamourous even in tee and jeans. I am not a huge star but am happy being what I€™m.€

Mink who€™s single right now says she€™s, €œquite old-fashioned when it comes to romance. I want someone make me fall in love with him.€
