Karan leaves, KK takes out his phone and calles the commissioner
KK - hello commissioner uncle...its KK
C - is everything ok?
KK - yeah I was just hoping for a favour....could you by any chance look up some information about someone?
C - I don't know....who is it?
KK - his name is Prem, he's just transferred to our college
C - I'm going to need a full name KK
KK - I'll find it out and get back to you....oh and don't tell dad
C - don't worry I won't
KK hangs up and smiles triumphantly
Part 25
KK roams around the college looking for Prem but finds Roshni instead, sitting on a bench, he goes to her and sits beside her
KK - so did you show the new dude to the library?
R - he has a name
KK - yeah.....what was it again?
R - Prem, you're the one who introduced us remember
KK - yeah yeah, so did you happen to ask him what his full name was?
R - why?
KK - because..I'm asking
R - "because, I'm asking" isn't a reason, so why?
KK - OK, because...Karan was asking
R - then why doesn't Karan ask?
KK - because he knows I talk to you more so he sent me....
KK looks elsewhere and shrugs his shoulders then looks back at her
KK - so.....what is it?
R - I don't know, he never said, we just spoke about what subjects he's studying here, you know he's in most of our lessons
KK - yeah how interesting....so can you find it out for me?
R - what?
KK - his full name....
R - you find out yourself
KK - it'll look weird if I go up to a guy and ask him his full name...
R - how?
KK - you know he might think....I'm hitting on him....ugh
R - right.....fine I'll ask him
KK - thank you
KK hugs her then leaves her to her work, half an hour later he spots her in the hallway talking to Prem, he waits for Prem to leave then goes over to Roshni, he taps her shoulder causing her to turn around, he smiles at her and walks with her
KK - so did you find out?
R - his name's Prem Juneja, he's 21, he used to live in Canada but he and his family moved here because his dad wanted to open a business here, he has two younger brothers...
KK - ok Prem Juneja...that's all I needed to know
R - well I couldn't exactly ask him his full name then walk off could I? He started talking about his family...his brothers are studying at this college too
KK - ok cool thanks a lot ok
KK hugs her again and rushes off, he calls the commissioner and informs him of Prem's full name and adds the small details Roshni told him then hangs up and goes to the canteen. Meanwhile Tia and Karan are walking together hand in hand near the football pitch
T - so what's going to happen now? Is Angad chachu going to talk to mom and dad?
Kar - that's what he said, I still can't believe he realised on his own, I thought it would be so awkward telling him
T - at least your parent's know now and we won't have to sneak around
Kar - yeah thankfully, so they're probably come to yours today and speak to your mom and dad
T - good, do you reckon....they'll let us get married?
Kar - of course...why wouldn't they? They'll know how much we love each other so I'm sure they'll be the ones asking us if we want to get married
The bell rings and Tia frowns
T - better go to my lesson
Kar - yeah, see you later ok
Karan kisses her softly and watches her leave, later KK's phone rings in the middle of lesson but luckily its on silent, he looks at the caller ID and sees the Commissioner's number flashing, he hits the cancel button then looks up at the proffesor, he stands up and walks over to him
KK - sir I really need to use the bathroom
Prof - I'm sure you can wait until lesson is over Kunal
KK cringed, no matter how many times he told his proffesor to call him KK, he always called him Kunal, KK shook his head
KK - I can't sir, please I'll be quick
Prof - ok Kunal, I'll issue you a pass
KK - thanks sir
KK takes the pass and rushes out of the room to the boys bathroom, he checks and makes sure its empty then dials the Commissioner's number
C - KK, I called and you never answered
KK - sorry uncle I was in lesson, so what did you find out?
C - Like you said, Prem Juneja moved to Mumbai with his family from Canada so that his father Lalit Juneja can open a new business here, Prem is a bright student who always gets straight A's, I'm not sure what else you wanted to know
KK - what kind of person is he?
C - From what I can tell he loves his family a lot especially his mother, he seems like a nice person
KK - ok thanks a lot uncle
C - but KK why is it you wanted to know about this guy?
KK - he's new here and I just wanted to know about him without people asking questions
C - ok son
KK - thanks again
KK hangs up and goes back to lesson, he nudges Roshni cuasing her to look at him
KK - what are you doing tomorrow?
R - nothing its saturday why?
KK - well there's this new museum opening tomorrow and they sent dad some passes, and he's told me to go and I don't want to go on my own because its going to be boring so do you want to come?
R - definately....what time?
KK - meet me there at 11 AM....I might be a little late
R - what's the address?
KK - I'll give it you later
R - cool
KK lets Roshni continue with her work, after the lesson's over KK catches Prem as he's about to get in his car
KK - hey Prem
Pr - KK what's up?
KK - nothing listen, since you're new you probably don't know that many people so I wanted to make you feel welcome by inviting you to a museum opening
Pr - museum opening? I thought you didn't like that kind of stuff
KK - I don't but the owners sent my dad some passes and he's forcing me to go, so would you like to come?
Pr - sure
KK - ok here's the address, meet me there at 11 AM ok?
Pr - sure....and thanks KK for being so kind
KK - my pleasure
KK lets Prem get in to his car and watches him wait, KK leans forward
KK - what you waiting for?
Pr - my brothers
KK - oh yeah, see you tomorrow
KK leaves, later Karan and KK arrive home to find Angad and Kripa in the living room, Karan breathes deeply and nudges Angad
Kar - have you been over?
A - we were about to but your mom's not feeling well, besides we thought it is best to wait some time, both of you should concentrate on your studies, you've only just got back from a break and if we go now then they'll think we sent you to Goa on purpose so let some time go and then we'll speak to them is that ok?
Kar - sure dad, whatever you think is best
Karan goes upstairs and tells KK what Angad told him, KK reassures him everything will be ok, the doorbell rings and KK goes to answer and finds Roshni standing there
KK - hey you....we're supposed to go tomorrow not today
R - I know, thing is Karan asked me to go shopping with him to get something for Tia's birthday, is he here?
KK - yeah come in
Roshni goes in to the living room where Angad is feeding Kripa soup
R - aww what happened aunty, not feeling well?
A - no she's come down with something, I keep telling her to go upstairs to sleep but she wants to stay here
R - come on aunty, listen to chachu and go upstairs and rest
A - its no use, she won't listen, anyways lets leave her to rest
Angad and Roshni walk out to the hallway, Angad puts his arm around her shoulder
A - so Roshni, come to see Karan?
R - yeah we're going shopping
A - I see...how was Goa?
R - it was great we all had a blast
A - good good, listen I've told Karan and its fair to tell you.....you need to concentrate on your studies for now ok? Then we'll think about what to come
R - sure chachu
Karan comes downstairs and Angad leaves them alone and Roshni dismisses what he said
R - ready to go
Kar - sure
Roshni and Karan leave for shopping while KK heads over to Aryan's for a game of basketball.
Coming up - Prem and Roshni arrive to the museum and meet each other but KK's no where to be seen
