Seconds turned into minutes. Minutes turned into hours. Hours turned into days. As time went by, the mutual but secret attraction between Ishan and Saanjh also grew. It was of course to be expected as they spent most of their time together. In class. Out of class. It was almost as if their lives revolved around each other.
Ishan desperately tried to figure out a way to confess his love to Saanjh, but he just couldn't bring himself to. It was usually so simple to ask someone out that he knew. So why was it so hard to ask this angel out when he loved her?
Deep within, Ishan's love resided in Saanjh's heart. However, she couldn't confess to herself. Maybe it was just an attraction? It couldn't be love. She didn't know what love was. Then again, how would she ever be able to know if she stayed under the illusion she didn't know what love was?
A couple of times, Saanjh actually brought herself to ask Aditi if what she felt was what she thought it was. Aditi usually laughed it off and agreed that it was a mere attraction. "Saanjh, you think you like him because he's so handsome and sweet. But it's not love. At least I don't think so."
Each time, Saanjh got the same reply and after a while, she just gave up. She was insane to think that she could love someone and expect love in return. In the end, her parents were going to find a good boy for her, so what was the point of thinking of such pointless things like love and even attraction?
He doesn't even like me, Saanjh thought several times to herself whenever she was with Ishan. Otherwise he wouldn't always be flirting with Shefali and all them.
What Saanjh did not know was that Ishan may be flirting with Shefali, but his mind and thoughts were in the possession of only one girl. That girl just didn't believe it yet.
