Focus on DIL KABADDI and RAB NE BANA DI JODI
With Mumbai facing its worst crisis since the '93 bomb blasts, the spirit of the city seems to be prevailing once again as Mumbaikers are trying to get back on track. This time around members of the film fraternity like Aashish Chaudhry have been directly hit while Bhairavi Goswami (BHEJA FRY) barely escaped.
As a result stars are reluctant to come out for the publicity of their forthcoming releases, and even those who are forced to are doing it with a heavy heart. A hesitant and visibly pained Rahul Bose, whose DIL KABADDI is slated for release this Friday, cites the helplessness of his producer(s) and distributors for going ahead with the release and publicity of the film.
The next major release, Yash Raj's RAB NE BANA DI JODI too is not going out for a publicity blitzkrieg as was planned. In fact, rather than talk about RNBDJ, the lead actor of the film, Shah Rukh Khan prefers to speak about his anguish, frustration and what ought to be done.
Well, we understand the feelings and sentiments of the industry. However, to get Mumbai and Bollywood out of its present crisis, let us hope that DIL KABADDI followed by RAB NE BANA DI JODI, do their bit to help Mumbai limp back to normalcy.
