Director Apoorva Lakhia screened his movie Ek Ajnabee at Mumbai's Leelavati hospital especially for superstar Amitabh Bachchan .
Amitabh is the driving force, the backbone of Ek Ajnabee. The movie would have had a lavish premiere had the superstar not taken to the bed because of an intestinal infection.
And now that the movie has been released and Bachchan's performance in it much appreciated, Lakhia wanted to show the movie to the cine icon.
"It was something that was bothering me…How could Bachchan not watch the film that was made entirely as a tribute to his talents? Now that he's recovering, I carried the film to the hospital. He saw it and really enjoyed it," Lakhia is quoted as saying by a senior scribe.
In Ek Ajnabee, Amitabh plays a misfit who takes on the job of a bodyguard of an 8-year-old girl. The movie, released last Friday, got good reviews because of Bachchan's stellar performance in it.
