KK looks confused, he looks towards the sun
KK - it set?
R - yeah just now....weren't you watching?
KK - lets say I saw something better worth looking at
Roshni shakes her head and both of them go back to the jeep and Aryan drives back to the cottage.
Part 24
The following week goes past pretty much the same way, the gang all having fun and the two couples trying to spend the maximum amount of time together before having to back home where none of their parents know about them. The had finished their packing the night before and had left quite early in the morning so that they could make it back for the evening, KK had called and informed Angad that they had left and would arrive in the evening, the gang are almost home and currently Aryan is driving, Ria is sleeping in the passenger seat, behind them Karan and Tia are discussing the best way to tell their parents about them and at the back Roshni is sleeping while KK is playing on his phone. The gang arrive at the Khanna Mansion, KK is the first to get out
Ar - since you're out can you get the luggage out?
KK - sure thing
KK gets the keys from Aryan and unlocks the trunk and takes the luggage out but struggles to close the trunk, Tia comes out and helps him then takes the keys from him, Aryan gets out of the car and goes around to the passenger side and picks up Ria in his arms, Karan gets out of the car and notices Roshni is still sleeping, he goes to her and nudges her slightly but she doesn't wake up so he looks out to call KK but KK has the bags in his hands so he picks up Roshni himself, Tia shuts the doors and locks the car then they all head to the house, Tia rings the doorbell and Kripa opens the door, the kids greet her and follow her in to the living room, Angad comes down, KK drops the bags on the floor and gives Kripa a long hug
KK - mom you know what I missed the most?
K - what?
KK - your food...these lot can't cook
Kripa laughs and KK hugs her again, Angad comes and watches as Karan places Roshni carefully on the sofa, he notices a few strands of hair falling on Roshni's face so he brushes them away oblivious to Angad watching him, Roshni wakes up and Karan helps her sit up, Tia comes and sits next to Roshni, Karan speaks to them and Roshni and Karan start laughing, Angad comes in to the living room and KK goes over and hugs him
KK - just so you know, I didn't go clubbing even once
A - good, now you know never to have parties like that again
KK - so does that mean the punishment is lifted?
A - yeah
KK - thanks dad!
KK hugs Angad, Karan notices Angad and goes over to him and hugs him
A - did you guys have a good time?
Kar - yeah dad it was great
Aryan gets up from the sofa and picks up his bag
Ar - guess we should be heading off
K - sit back down, have something to eat while Angad calls your parents
Ar - as you wish
Aryan puts the bag down and shakes Ria and wakes her up, they follow the others to the dining table while Angad rings Sujal and Prithvi and lets them know the kids have come to their house, Sujal and Prithvi agree to come over to Angad's and have dinner there. Meanwhile Aryan sits on one end of the table, Ria sits opposite him, Karan and KK sit next to each other while Tia and Roshni sit opposite them, Kripa goes in to the kitchen to get the food, the kids talk while Angad sits on the sofa and watches them, Karan grins to himself and begins playing footsie with who he thinks is Tia under the table but in fact is Roshni who keeps giggling, Angad notices both of them smiling and wonders what is so funny, he glances under the table and finds them both playing footsie with each other, he grins to himself but doesn't say anything, Kripa brings the food to the table and the guys start eating, the doorbell rings and Angad goes to answer, he lets Sujal, Kashish, Prithvi and Suhana in who follow him in to the living room, the kids see their parents and rush over to greet them, after the dinner everyone is sitting in the living room
A - ok guys you've had your fun and now we all agree you should concentrate on your studies for the rest of the term
S - yeah no more slacking, we want to see improvement in all of your results, especially you Aryan as its your final year
Ar - sure dad, anyways we should go
Aryan and Roshni stand up and head out, Karan remembers something and goes after Roshni, he takes her to a side and speaks to her
Kar - Roshni, I needed a favour
R - what's up?
Kar - Tia's birthday is coming up and I need to get her something but I don't know what to get, so could you come shopping with me tomorrow and help me look for something for her?
R - of course, we'll go after college
Kar - thanks
Angad sees them but doesn't hear them talking and just watches as Karan hugs Roshni, Sujal, Kashish, Aryan and Roshni leave and soon enough so do Prithvi, Suhana, Ria and Tia. Karan and KK go to their room
KK - you going to tell them?
Kar - yep
KK - now?
Kar - yeah..well dad for now and hopefully he'll convince mom
KK - ok
Angad comes in to their room, KK goes to the bathroom leaving Karan and Angad alone, Karan makes some space for Angad to sit down
A - so what did you lot get up to while you were there?
Kar - general things, chilling and that
A - cool
Kar - what about you and mom?
A - oh yeah we had a blast without you two
Kar - yeah sure...anyways dad I wanted to talk to you
A - about what?
Karan stands up and opens his cupboard and begins putting his clothes away, Angad goes over and stops him and makes him face him
A - Karan...what's the matter son?
Kar - ok so...erm...I don't know how to say this...
KK opens the bathroom door and pokes his head out
KK - tell him already!
Kar - I will!
A - KK go away
KK closes the door, Angad makes Karan sit down
A - ok out with it..are you in trouble?
Kar - no...nothing like that
Angad looks at Karan's face and recalls him hugging Roshni
A - ok....I'm going to go out on a limb here......is it about a girl?
Karan slowly nods his head
A - and I'm right when I say I know this girl?
Kar - yeah
A - this is the same girl you went out on a date with....
Kar - yes
A - ok...are you going out with her?
Kar - yeah....its been a while now
A - why didn't you tell me?
Kar - because I was scared.....you know...because....
A - she's my friend's daughter?
Kar - yeah...I thought you'd be angry and think I'm taking advantage of her
A - I wouldn't think that......unless you are?
Kar - no!
A - then that's good, are you serious about her?
Kar - definatey...
A - ok...
Kar - how did you know?
A - I'm your father its my job to know these things....plus I've seen you with her
Kar - true....so you're ok with this?
A - yeah
Kar - do you think maybe you could talk to mom....and...her mom and dad
A - sure thing
Kar - thanks dad
Karan hugs Angad, Angad leaves and Kk comes out of the bathroom
KK - well?
Kar - stop pretending like you weren't listening
KK - how did you know?
Kar - because we're twins
KK - true....so he's going to talk to mom?
Kar - yeah
KK - cool...you should call Tia and give her the good news
Kar - I think I'll tell her in person tomorrow
KK - as you wish
Kar - we should get some rest, back to college tomorrow
KK - yeah don't remind me
Angad goes to his bedroom where Kripa has changed in to her night clothes, Angad hugs her from behind and kisses her neck
K - you look happy
A - why wouldn't I be....guess what
K - what?
A - our son is in love
K - KK's in love? with who?
A - we do have another son you know....
K - Karan? are you serious?
A - most definately my love
K - wow that's.....surprising....who is the girl?
A - she's....someone you know
K - someone I know?
A - in fact...she's your best friend's daughter
K - my best friend is Kashish.....that would mean....oh my god!
A - yes! Karan is in love with Roshni! I'm surprised you haven't seen how they are with each other, I mean didn't you see him carrying her inside and lovingly place her on the sofa and brush her hair from her face, and how they were laughing with each other...oh and they were playing footsie under the table...and when Roshni was leaving he was talking to her and hugging her
K - this is unbeliveable....Karan in love with Roshni
A - yeah I know, he wanted me to tell you and her parents....we can do that right?
K - yeah after all we are the boy's parents
A - it would be so great having Roshni as our daughter in law
K - definately....I can't wait to tell Kashish, she'll be so happy....I'm so happy!
Kripa hugs Angad, they both lie down imagining how life will be once Roshni becomes ther daughter in law meanwhile Karan is feeling happy thinking that the hard step of telling his parents about him and Tia is out of the way. The next day everyone is back at college, Karan finds Tia and gives her the good news and in turn tells the others
Ar - finally...now that they know about you...maybe I should tell mom and dad about me and Ria
Ri - slow down...let's see how mom and dad react once they find out about Tia and Karan.....then we'll tell them about us
Ar - good idea
KK - hey guys I'll be right back, need to go speak to a girl about a date
KK walks off, he walks towards the basketball courts when he bumps in to someone holding several books which fall on the floor
KK - sorry
KK begins picking up the books thinking maybe its a girl but when he stands up he sees a guy
?? - its ok, can you tell me where the library is?
KK - the what?
?? - the library
KK - dude you must be new...
?? - yeah I am
KK - yeah figures since you're asking ME where the library is....
?? - why who are you?
KK - you don't know who I am? I'm KK....Kunal Khanna...my dad is Angad Khanna, the rockstar
?? - I don't listen to that kind of music
KK - really....and I guess you're in to loads of studying
?? - what makes you say that?
KK - the books....
?? - oh yeah.....I love to study
KK - reminds me of someone I know....
KK looks at the books
KK - you like poetry? are you serious?
?? - yeah poetry is nice
KK - but....you're a guy
?? - so guys can't like poetry?
KK - point taken....anyways sorry once again
KK hands him the books and turns to walk away
?? - hey you never told me where the library is
KK - oh yeah....erm follow me
KK heads back inside with the guy following him, he goes in to the canteen and taps Roshni on her shoulder, she turns and sees KK and stands up, KK takes her to the guy
KK - Roshni this is.....hey dude what's your name?
?? - Prem
KK - Prem this is Roshni, one of my best friends, she'll tell you where the library is, Roshni be a good girl and show him where the library is
R - why can't you?
KK - because I don't know where it is
R - true, ok, Prem I'll show you where the library is
P - thanks
R - wow you read poetry?
P - yeah its beautiful
Roshni and Prem begin talking about poetry and walk off without telling KK, KK watches them leave and begins thinking to himself
KK - a dude who is the exact carbon copy of Roshni.....hmmm looks like I've found my guy...
Karan comes to KK and hears him talking to himself
Kar - you're looking for a guy?
KK - yeah
Kar - bruv I never knew you swung that way...
KK - huh? what no! a guy for Roshni you idiot...
Kar - oh.....yeah that makes sense....so who is the guy?
KK - his names Prem, he's new and he likes poetry
Kar - yeah...and?
KK - I only know that at the moment
Kar - and how you planning on finding out if he's a good guy for her?
KK - hello....I'm KK remember, I can do anything....especially when my dad is Angad Khanna
Kar - so?
KK - so....dad knows the police right? as in the CBI and all that....I can easily get someone to dig information on him
Kar - if you're so sure dude...anyways I have to go to lesson
KK - go then
Kar - aren't you coming?
KK - no i have more important things to do
Kar - yah whatever.....I'm going
Karan leaves, KK takes out his phone and calles the commissioner
KK - hello commissioner uncle...its KK
C - is everything ok?
KK - yeah I was just hoping for a favour....could you by any chance look up some information about someone?
C - I don't know....who is it?
KK - his name is Prem, he's just transferred to our college
C - I'm going to need a full name KK
KK - I'll find it out and get back to you....oh and don't tell dad
C - don't worry I won't
KK hangs up and smiles triumphantly
Coming up - KK plans to set Roshni and Prem up on a date
