Meher-Harman Story

This is how I think it might go:

This Maya person may not be shown as a very +ve character. So, even when she's in the picture, Harman would slowly realize that Meher's actually the one for him. Also, Meher, in the process of acting as his fiancee will spend more and more time closely with him and start falling for him too.

Another scenario could be that Maya, for some reason, isn't able to turn up in time for the engagement/wedding. So, Harman will be unable to disclose anything as the person herself isn't present. Then, to save the day, they will have to get engaged/married. They will probably get engaged/married thinking that they'll break it off once Maya is here. But, they'll slowly start falling for each other when they start spending time together.
