Karan nods his head, KK gets out one of Angad's CDs and puts it into the car's cd player, puts the volume up then sits back and relaxes. Ria and Roshni continue to talk about random stuff for a while but Roshni gets bored so she takes out a book, Ria sighs and gets out her magazines, and at the back Tia and Karan are busy taking and giggling with each other.
Part 18
It's been several hours since the gang set off for Goa, Roshni is deep into her book, Ria is still looking at her magazines while Tia has fallen asleep on Karan's shoulder, he has his arm wrapped around her waist while she sleeps, he keeps himself busy by playing games on his PSP. Meanwhile in the front KK is driving and Aryan is relaxing with his eyes closed, head resting back, the car stops a red light causing Aryan to open his eyes, he glances at KK then at everyone else in the back, he sits up and yawns, KK glances at him
KK - man I'm bored
Ar - you want Karan to drive?
KK - not yet, hey Karan, what do you reckon mom and dad are doing at home?
Kar - simple, mom is probably in the kitchen cooking and dad is probably sitting in front of the tv
KK - so true!
KK, Karan and Aryan chuckle about Angad sitting in front of the tv. Back at the Khanna Mansion....Kripa is indeed in the kitchen cooking, but Angad isn't sitting in front of the tv, Kripa's cutting some vegetables when she feels Angad wrap his strong arms around her waist and rests his chin on her shoulder snuggling closer to her
K - Angad, what are you doing, stop it, let me do my work
A - forget the work Kripa
Angad reaches out and stops Kripa from doing anything, he spins her around and makes her face him
K - Angad come on stop behaving like a child
A - come on, KK and Karan aren't here
K - so?
A - so...you know what that means....
K - what?
A - that for the first time, in I don't know how many years, you and me finally have the place to ourselves, we can do anything
K - Angad we're not kids anymore
A - we can still behave like kids
Angad grins and leans forward and quickly kisses Kripa on her cheek, Kripa tries to push him away but he scoops her up in his arms and takes her to the living room, Kripa protests but Angad doesn't put her down until her gets to the sofa, he makes her lie on the sofa then lies next to her hugging her
K - you know, I'm starting to think the only reason you sent the kids away is so you could romance with me
Angad grins
A - you know me so well
K - ok, now get off me, I need to cook
A - nope, today we're going order a take away, snuggle up on the sofa and watch a nice scary film
K - no, you know I don't like scary films
A - exactly...that way you can hold on to me when you get scared
K - but Angad.....
A - no buts....
Angad reaches out and grabs his phone and dials in a number a orders italian take aways for them both, he then sits up and makes Kripa sit up, he looks at her and frowns
K - what's wrong?
A - you always wear sarees now
K - so?
A - so....I remember when we were younger you used to hate wearing them
K - habit i guess
A - yeah, you always used to wear jeans a nice tops and everything
K - yeah that was before I gave birth to twins and put on all this weight
A - what weight? there's nothing there, I guarantee your old jeans and tops will still fit you
K - no they won't
A - how do you know without trying them on? go on, go put them on and we'll see if they still fit
Kripa opens her mouth to argue but decides there's no harm in doing so, she gets up and goes upstairs while Angad goes to the cabinet to search for a scary film for them both to watch, he chooses one and puts it into the dvd player and hits the pause button, he then goes into the kitchen and pulls a bottle of wine and two glasses, he opens the bottle and pours it into the two glasses and sets them on the table, he rushes over and closes the curtains and dims the lights then takes a seat on the sofa waiting for Kripa
A - come on Kripa! hurry up
K - I'm coming!!
Angad waits for a while then hears footsteps, he turns his head and finds Kripa wearing her old jeans and an old tank top, she has her hair tied back in a pony tail, Angad's mouth falls wide open, Kripa giggles, he stands up and walks over to her, he looks her up and down then makes her turn around, Kripa continues to giggle at him, Angad grins
A - you know, if I was to meet you for the very first time....no way would I think you were maried let alone a mother of two kids
K - you're crazy Angad....
Angad pulls Kripa towards him
A - I'm serious....for the first time in 21 years, I'm looking at the woman I fell in love with, exactly how you looked when we were in college.....simply beautiful
Kripa smiles and bites her bottom lip, Angad leans forward and kisses her softly
K - don't we have a film to watch?
A - of course
Angad and Kripa both go and sit on the sofa, he hands her the glass of wine when the doorbell rings, he runs and opens it, takes the food inside and pays the delivery guy then sits by Kripa and snuggles with her. Meanwhile back in the car, Tia's awake now and everyone is chit chatting about college when Aryan calls out to them
Ar - so we've discussed what your parents are doing right now KK, what you reckon Prithvi chachu and Suhana aunty are doing? hey Tia? Ria?
T - that's easy mom's going to be in front of the tv watching her saas bahu serials while dad'll be in the study room checking his files
Ri - Tia's right, mom never goes without watching her serials, and when mom's doing that then dad goes to his study and will only come out when he's hungry
Back at the Bose House, Suhana isn't in front of the tv watching her serials but upstairs in her room sitting in front of the mirror putting make up on meanwhile Prithvi is in the kitchen cooking, he smells the food and grins and takes it inside to the living room and puts it on the table, he gets a lighter and lights the two candles he had taken out then turns the lights off, he sets the table nicely then rushes upstairs to get Suhana
P - are you ready?
Su - almost....there....so why did you wnat me to stay upstairs getting ready?
P - come downstairs, you'll see
Prithvi takes Suhana's arm in his and leads her downstairs and takes her to the living room, Suhana looks shocked
Su - what's all this?
Prithvi makes Suhana sit down then sits opposite her and pours her some wine in a glass and pours some for himself
P - well I thought, when the girls are here we never get to spend anytime together, and since they're not here I figured we should make the most of it and have dinner together
Su - aww Prithvi....how sweet
P - I know, so shall we start?
Suhana begins eating while Prithvi gets the remote control for the stereo, he hits a button and soft music starts playing, he gets up and puts his hand out to Suhana
P - may I have this dance?
Suhana giggles then puts her hand in his and stands up, Prithvi pulls her closer and puts her arms around her waist while she puts them around his neck, they both start dancing together, Suhana closes her eyes and rests her head on his shoulder, Prithvi also closes his eyes as they continue to sway with the music. After a while Suhana looks up at him
Su - isn't our food getting cold?
P - whoops...
They both smile and sit back down and begin eating
Su - I miss the girls already
P - Suhana.....please this night is for us, and as much as I love my daghters, I want this night to be about you and me
Su - oh ok then....so what's for desert?
P - chocolate cake
Su - mmmm my favourite
P - I know
They finish their dinner and Prithvi goes into the kitchen and gets one plate of chocolate cake, him and Suhana sit on the sofa and begin feeding each other the cake, Prithvi grins to himself and purposely puts cake on Suhana's cheek
Su - Prithvi...
P - sorry, accident
Su - let me go wash it off
P - no wait....
Prithvi leans forward and kisses Suhana's cheek and licks off the remaining cake, Suhana shakes her head and gets up to leave but Prithvi pulls her back down and hugs her tightly
Su - Prithvi stop it....act your age
P - mmmm...not tonight
Prithvi pins Suhana down on the sofa and begins kissing her neck, Suhana giggles and wraps her arms around his neck. Back in the car....
KK - ok ok....that's Prithvi chachu done.....what about Sujal chachu and Kashish aunty?
Ar - hmmmm....
R - mom's most likely in the bathroom relaxing....without us there she doesn't have that much work to do so she's probably spoiling herself
Kar - what about chachu?
Ar - dad....he'll probably be doing the same as Prithvi chachu, looking at his files and that
Meanwhile at the Garewal House Sujal and Kashish are in their bedroom sitting in bed, they have plates of pizza and chips on their laps, both are eating
Ka - I guess one good thing came with the kids going
S - hmm what's that?
Kashish puts a chip in her mouth
Ka - without them here, there's no need for me to do lots of work, not a lot of cooking, no cleaning up after them....
S - yeah, we can just sit in bed all day
Ka - yep, just like now
S - reminds me of before Aryan was born, we used to spend sunday mornings just lying in bed
Ka - and you would bring breakfast in bed
S - hey you remember that year Aryan locked us in our room together?
Ka - you mean Angad's gift to us? and if I remember correctly it was the year you forgot our anniversary
S - the only year, ever since then I've never forgotten
Sujal grins and kisses Kashish's cheek, they finish the food and Kashish looks at Sujal
Ka - I'm in the mood for some ice cream
S - I'll go get it
Sujal kisses Kashish's cheek then jumps off the bed and takes the empty plates downstairs, he puts them in the sink and goes to the freezer and gets a tub of ice cream, he goes into the kitchen and is about to take some bowls but decides against it and simply grabs two spoons then goes back upstairs, he jumps into bed and gives Kashish the tub of ice cream
Ka - yummy
Sujal hands her a spoon and both begin eating the ice cream, after a while Kashish begins to hog the ice cream and Sujal begins fighting with her to eat some, Kashish grabs his spoon and throws it on the floor
S - hey!
Sujal gets angry and Kashish laughs at him, she leans over and kisses his cheek and feeds him some ice cream, Sujal takes the spoon off her and feeds her some. Meanwhile back in the car
KK - man our parents are so boring
Ar - tell me about it
The gang start laughing at their parents' boringness not knowing what their parents are up o without them
