And today I’m returning with a fun game that many of you enjoyed last year – Bluffmaster!
For those that are new to this and even for those returning after about a year, here are the details of the game.
On both Discord and IF, I will set certain slots in which 5 of you will play together. At random, one of you will be selected to start the game as Bluffmaster. That person will get the questions and the answers in a private message/direct message. Each slot will have 6 questions that will be Family Feud style – a question with 10 answers with the most popular having the most points associated with it.
I will ask these questions and name the person who will answer the question. This order will change with each question so pay close attention that you don’t respond when it’s not your turn!
After 2 questions, the players will all get a chance to guess who the Bluffmaster is. The person with the most votes will be eliminated until we are down to 2 people. If the Bluffmaster is eliminated before the end of the game, then I will simply select a new Bluffmaster from the remaining players and send that new Bluffmaster the questions.
The people who are eliminated can continue to guess who the Bluffmaster is until the very end and win points! So don’t go anywhere if you are eliminated!
Each of you will get to play 2 knockout games minimum. If you proxy in another slot, then of course that means you’ll be playing more than 2 games.
Points can be earned through the questions.
If you aren’t selected as a Bluffmaster and you eliminate the Bluffmaster correctly, you can earn a bonus 200 points.
If you aren’t selected as a Bluffmaster and you eliminate an innocent player, then you could lose 100 points.
If you are selected as the Bluffmaster and manage to survive until the end, then you earn 100 points.
If you are selected as the Bluffmaster and get voted out, your points earned will be halved. Yes, the Bluffmaster has a lot to lose so they want to avoid being caught!
Whatever points you gain in your slot will be added to the leaderboard. After the knockout games are over, the top 20 players will continue onto the semi-finales. From the semi-finale, 10 players will continue to the finale!
After the knockout games are over, I will share the leaderboard and announce the top 20 players who go through. The leaderboard will be reset for the semi-finale and then again for the finale.
I will give slots for both Discord and IF. The slots will be clearly marked. The slots are first come, first serve.
Each slot will have 5 people. If a slot has less than 5 people then I will ask other players to proxy in a game if they can. If the proxy player scores better in that proxy game than in one of their own games, then obviously I will replace the lower score with the higher score, but the proxy player will not get preference in being chosen first to answer questions. I reserve the right to choose who will be the proxy if I get multiple volunteers. This will not be first come, first serve.
If I cannot find a proxy for a slot, then we will adjust how the game is played within that slot. I hope it doesn’t get to this point, but I’ll be prepared just in case.
For each question, I will randomly select who will respond, so please wait to be called on/tagged. If you respond and it’s not your turn then I will ignore your response and your response is fair game for someone else.
For each question, you can only give me 1 response (unless I tell you otherwise). Do not try to cheat the system by giving me a list or a long sentence trying to cover multiple options. I will either give you 0 or ignore all your options except the first one.
The questions are fun and based on responses I pulled from Google or AI. Some may be fact-based, but others may be based on what I choose from the various Google options/AI options.
I reserve the right to reject your sign-up for the game.
