Dear all,
Welcoming you all to the final round of this season, which is Mahabharat Challenge: The Mahayuddh.

And finally, the first part of The Mahayuddh is here! ⚔️ I have posted 10 different Mahabharat scenes in 10 separate threads in the Mahabharat Katha forum. The scenes are taken from B. R. Chopra's Mahabharat and Swastik's Mahabharat tv adaptations.
Your task is not simply to identify the scene or describe what you see in the picture. You have to write the scene in your own way. Look at the characters and go deeper into that particular moment. What could each character be feeling or thinking? What might be going on behind those expressions? What could have happened just before this moment, or what might happen immediately afterwards?
This is your ground. You have the scene, and the rest is yours to create. You can bring in dialogues, thoughts, emotions, actions, atmosphere and your own interpretation of the characters. Most of the scenes are popular ones, but if you don't recognise a particular scene, you can always use Google Lens to identify it.
There is no need to reproduce the original dialogues from the shows. I want to see your version of that moment and what you can find beyond what is actually visible in the frame.

There are 10 scenes, each posted in a separate thread.
Each write-up must contain a minimum of 10 sentences.
There is no maximum limit on the number of sentences or words. Let your creativity decide how much you want to write.
Your write-up must remain connected to the given scene and its characters.
You are free to add dialogues, thoughts, emotions, actions and interpretations.
You do not have to reproduce the original dialogues from the television adaptations.
Each write-up will be judged out of 50 points. With 10 scenes, the maximum judge's score will be 500 points.
The deadline for submitting your write ups in the respective threads is 26th September, 2026 (11.59 PM IST).
The participant-to-participant evaluation will happen too after this phase ends. Participants will be randomly paired, and each participant will give points to their assigned partner's entries for each scene via PM to me. Details of this process will be shared later.
If you wish, you can also share your feedback openly on the respective scene threads after this phase gets over, but that is completely optional.
For any queries or doubts regarding this phase, please post them here in this thread.
Important note
As for the live-slots phase (Phase 2), I have to postpon it to the next weekend. I am currently dealing with a terrible headache, a continuous heavy-headed feeling and occasional fever, so I don't think I will be able to host the live round properly this week as I planned and expected. I am hoping to recover soon, and I will share the complete details and the new schedule sometime next week once I am feeling better. I hope you all understand and bear with me.
For now, the first battle of The Mahayuddh begins. The scene is yours. The story is yours. Let the Mahayuddh begin. ⚔️
(Please note: All write ups must adhere strictly to G or M ratings, where M is restricted solely to mild depictions of war, violence or sensitive themes, with explicit or sexual content entirely prohibited. All submissions must maintain respect for the sacred text, culture and reader sentiments without being offensive or dismissive.)
