Given the director and scriptwriter is Malhotra, I'm very much interested... he is good in character portrays and Meena and her husband definitely are interesting characters... also the long making of their movie Pakeezah will be a subject of the movie, I suppose... it will also be a reflection of an important time in Hindi Cinema.

This movie is coproduced by Amrohi's family, which means his character is very likely whitewashed. There may be love letters and there may have been genuine love and romance between Kamal and Meena. However, there's also enough accounts of Kamal becoming abusive. There are stories that even his assistant had physically hit Meena, which is a reflection of how little value and respect she had in Amrohi's circle.

This will just be a very controversial movie. Good luck to whomever gets cast.
