Apparently, BAPS asking women to be removed from Effie Tower is fake.

It is just typical West; inse Muslims criminals and terrorist sambhal nahi rahe so Indians and Hindus ke against fake propaganda kar rahe hain.

Thanks for this news. Baps had denied asking to remove any female staff. But we were so biased & anti faith, that instead of repeated reasoning of mis-management, we were buzy trying to portry sadhus as main culprits. Such sensitive incident requires being a neutral observer to analyse the situation. Monks are accompanied by their house holder disciples too, who knows repercussions of such request or demand. They are with monks to handle such aspects only. So monks as well as other people are not inconvenienced.

It's sad the monks were judged based on such controversy instead of their Spiritual upliftment.

So, it seems that I was right to only blame the SETE management and not the monks smiley1

If that is the case and following Newton's Law of action and reaction, wonder why the female staff went on a strike citing discrimination, something not right somewhere 🤔

There was clearly a strike by the staff there over the limits imposed on the female staff during BAPS team visit. So no, BAPS doesn't get a clean chit yet.

Now the question is, what exactly did BAPS request for? Are we saying that for no rhyme or reason, the authorities at Eiffel Tower decided to keep women at bay? Something doesn't add up.

I hope the authorities clearly reveal what the original request from BAPS was and then people can determine if it was the authorities that misunderstood the ask and went overboard or if BAPS indeed did put in such a request.

You are so eloquent Madhuri. Also completely agree with everything you wrote there.

Why is someone's celibacy everyone's responsibility? I hope women working didn't lose the day's wage...This was stupid of French people to even consider this, let alone grant this. Even if this happened in India it would be a violation of Article 14 and 21 to some extent.

Anyways I don't follow these organisations be it BAPS or ISKON or ISHA or Satya Sai or OSHO or Brahmakumaris or even those Tibetan Buddhist etc that are rising. Almost all of them are shady and these gurus are nothing like they portray. Since France is big on human rights and religious freedom and on maintaining secularism, let's see how they deal with this and they're not just on paper. I'm interested in seeing how this probe plays out.

This has nothing to do with the West and it's propaganda. This nonsense wouldn't have been tolerated in India either. We have a long history of telling women to disappear and reappear according to the whims and fancies of men. In the twenty first century most women are not going to tolerate any insane requests from men who apparently are so insecure about their own impulses that they even fear to look at women.

The ' apology ' from BAPS very conveniently adds " to the best of our knowledge " . A loophole to find a fall guy and blame it on them. That's not exactly an apology ,it's passing the buck.

Where do you get anti faith from? Are you saying devout Hindu women are comfortable disappearing from their desks at work if these people showed up with their no fap neurosis ? Try pulling this at a bank or a railway canteen in small town India and see how that goes.

You cannot be ' neutral ' about blatant sexism and rudeness. Faith should stay in private spaces . These so called Sadhus who once tried to keep Dalits out of their temples , also try to keep half the population out of their sight because they fear they'd lose their celibacy if they looked at one. I'm no sadhu , but when I occassionally run into males that I find irresitably hot I don't say " Inko yahan se hatao ..warna Mera sabr toot jaaega aur main yahi let jaaongi ". Like any reasonable adult is supposed to ,I look away and find something else to think about. The best part is that it works. So there's no reason for people who are supposed to have decades of experience in controlling their base desires ,ego and worldly obsessions , people who have had decades of sadhana to say they cannot look at female devotees. Any idiot can connect the dots and see how the issue in France occured. Now even if you give these monks the benefit of the doubt ,that maybe they did not make such a request directly , that maybe it was a middle man that did , that person didn't randomly conjure such an idea out of thin air . It very much stems from the insanity that's practised in the premises of this organisation.

This is just another cult with regressive ideas that contradict the actual teachings of Hinduism regarding chastity and impulse control. Great sages used to interact with women without any of this drama ,yeh log kya cheez hai.
